Playsuits are completely on trend right now and this one from River Island is perfect for summer and on those slightly warmer days. Cut out sandals are going to be a big trend for the summer. They're already on sale on the high-street so why not get yourself a pair now?!
I've got this coat in grey and I've just spied this coat online in white! It's such a perfect coat for spring time and it's very light weight and easy to wear. I've been wearing polo neck tops so much lately and I'm so tempted to pick up this one from Topshop!

    SHOP THE POST

Cult Beauty is one of my favourite online beauty shopping spots. Its a haven for all things unique, hard to find and pretty much a who’s who of products that actually work. I was on the site a few days a go restocking on some beauty favourites and picking up a few new bits and bobs to quell my need for newness. I thought I would make a little video haul for you guys to enjoy! Hope you like it! Check it out above or over on my Youtube channel! Let me know what you think of my picks!

  • What To Wear To The Opera

Skater Dress - Pretty Little Thing
Check Tie Shirt Dress - River Island
    Block Heels - River Island
    Bandeau Jumpsuit - Missguided
    Bandeau Dress - Missguided
    Plunge Maxi Dress - Topshop
I thought I'd do a different sort of post today! I've noticed not many bloggers talk about what to wear to events and so I thought i'd show you all what I'd wear if I was heading to the Opera. I've always wanted to see an English National Opera show. I used to live with 4 music students during my first year at university and so I found out a lot about music then and they always loved a trip to the Opera. They recommended seeing The Queen of Spades Opera which I'd love to go and see.
I think when it comes to posh events such as the Opera you have to make a real effort with your appearance but not look too polished. I think sticking to a simple monochrome palette for an event like this you can never go wrong. I love this check tie shirt dress and think it would look great with black tights and some block heels like this pair. You can never go wrong with a simple floor length dress or jumpsuit as you can accessorise the outfit however you want and they are such versatile pieces.
What would you wear to the Opera? Which piece on the wish list is your favourite?

  • Magic Skin Balm

Coconut oil is a wonder balm for a variety of skin aliments. It an all round magic skin balm. Coconut oil has a variety of health benefits when used in cooking such as regulating blood sugar, fighting heart disease and improve the immune system. But used topically it can help a variety of skin, hair and body issues. In fact I’d place a bet that you could replace all pretty much all of your beauty regime with Coconut Oil if you wanted to!

Here are my favourite ways to use Coconut Oil:

Lip Treatment - Perfect for chapped lips Skin Softner - Smoothed into the elbows or knee’s to soften dry skin.

Makeup Remover - Ideal for removing makeup without the use of chemicals.

Shaving Balm - Close shave and a moisturiser at the same time.

Deep Conditioner - Left in the hair overnight to leave the hair looking shiny and smooth.
Hand Balm - Rubbed into chapped palms to instantly soften the skin
Hair Oil - Applied to the ends of the hair to smooth and tame frizz.
Body Scrub - Combine coconut oil and sugar.
Massage Oil - Great choice for a massage oil as it’s not too greasy and smells lovely.
After Sun- Highly moisturising so great for sun exposure.
Homemade Toothpaste - Combine equal coconut oil and baking soda & sweeten with stevia.
Oil Pulling - Swished around the mouth like mouthwash to reduce bacteria.
Hair Mask - Use overnight on the hair for a super nourishing natural hair mask.

Seriously there are so many ways you can use the stuff. For me I like it best when used as a hair mask. Left overnight it leaves my hair looking shiney, managable and easy to tame. I'm converted to the Coconut Oil side. I buy my Coconut Oil from M&S but you can pick it up in most supermarkets in the health food sections. It also tastes awesome on food, I like to use it when roasting sweet potato for a subtle coconutty taste. Yum!

  • New Fedora

Yeah I got myself a new Fedora. What are you going to do about it. Im well aware at this point I have a bit of an addiction to the hat but I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. A life saver on bad hair days and very chic at the same time… whats not to like! Zoe said to me recently "I dont think I've seen you without a Fedora in months" This is probably true. I LOVE EM.

I had my eye on these Catarzi hats from ASOS for a while. There was something about them that looked a million times nicer quality than the ones that currently grace my head. Boy was I not wrong, Im absolutely obsessed with this one. It's a little larger than my usual fedora's and the quality of the fabric is just exquisite. A solid 10/10 on the hat scale!

I'm loving ripped jeans at the moment and these ones are completely on trend.
Shopbop are really killing it when it comes to Clutch Bags at the moment. There's so many gorgeous clutch bags in stock at the moment and I'm loving this Let's Makeup Bag and it's not too expensive at £16 too. One thing I'd really love to add to my wardrobe this year is a designer watch. This one from Marc Jacobs! It's absolutely gorgeous and who doesn't love rose gold?!

  • Fashion: How To Steal Monica Gellar's Style

One things for sure I'm pretty addicted to watching Friends. Whenever I have a moment of doubt or worry, if I have time I'll put an episode of friends on. Lot of you loved my post about the 5 Style Lessons Rachel Green Taught Us so I've decided to do another post about friends style. Monica Gellar in Friends is somewhat underestimated in the show for her style. A lot of what she wears has come back into fashion and she is always laid back and effortlessly stylish. I love how she pairs a polo neck with flared jeans, loves an oversized t-shirt and is not afraid to wear checks!

  • Beauty: The £4.99 Velvet Teddy Dupe

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

Having managed to have picked up MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy I've barely worn another lip colour since. As Velvet Teddy is sold out everywhere i'm eager to find a cheaper alternative which is just as good as the original. First I came across this Velvet Teddy dupe which was only £5 but since picking up this lip pencil and comparing it with Velvet Teddy this is another dupe and a penny cheaper at £4.99!

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

The main difference between this lip pencil and velvet teddy is that it's more moisturising. The colour isn't as bold once it's applied to the lip but when watched they look like the same colour. I have to say I do prefer Velvet Teddy as the colour is matte and still very moisturising but Maybelline Color show is an amazing dupe! In the photo the top colour is Velvet Teddy and the bottom colour is the Maybelline color show lipstick pencil.

Are you a fan of Maybelline Color Show? Are you still searching for a perfect Velvet Teddy dupe?

  • Tips for Growing Out A Fringe

Im currently in the process of growing out my fringe (or bangs if you will). I’ve totally hit that awkward length between them looking cool and chic and being a little bit too overgrown. I’ve decided to avoid reaching for my hair dressing scissors and take the time to actually grow it out. I know patience is a virtue and not one that I currently possess. Here are some of the tips I’ve picked up along the way to try and manage my tresses!

Trims are Important. Okay so I know I said don't reach for the scissors but it is important when your growing out your fringe (or your hair!) to go for regular trims. It’ll keep your hair looking healthy and help it grow. It’ll also help them not look such a straggly mess!

Switch up your Parting. I’ve switched my parting from a center parting with full front fringe to a side sweep. When my fringe has reached and acceptable length I want to have a flipped over side parting so Im already starting to teach my hair the way I want it to fall. Putting them to the side is also a great way to hide that awkward length!

Pin Pin Pin. Pick a hairstyle that keeps your hair in check. I like to pin my fringe to the sides and then smoothing them down with a styling product. The pins stop my fringe from awkwardly sticking out and hide the fact they arent an ideal length!

Braid it. A few hair styles you can use to hide your fringe as it grows include braiding them back away from your hair, smooth down any flyways with product to prevent them poking out. Chic and easy to do!

Stripe Wrap Dress - River Island
    Camel Tailored Coat - Missguided
    Khaki Waterfall Coat - Missguided
    Ripped Jamie Jeans - Topshop
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
Despite it now officially being British Summertime, I still think it's important to have a good but a little more lightweight coat in your wardrobe. It may seem sunny but we all know how deceiving British weather is! This is why I'm loving this tailored camel coat from Missguided and Khaki Waterfall Coat.
Palazzo Trouser two pieces are a massive trend at the moment. I think they're a great outfit for a night out and who doesn't want to show off a bit of tummy? especially for you lucky ones with flat stomachs! A trend I think that's not going away anytime soon is ripped jeans. I think for your summer wardrobe it's a great idea to invest in a good pair like these from Topshop!
A few days ago I was out doing a spot of shopping with my mum and I tried on these shoes. They're so comfortable, not too high and my mum made me put them back and not buy them but I have a bad feeling that when I next go into a Topshop I'll be making a cheeky purchase!

    Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

    Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Beige Babe

    Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Epic

Okay I'm guilty. I'm guilty of reading far too many beauty blogs and watching far too many youtube videos with the dream of finding the perfect make-up products to suit my face and skin tone. So when Superdrug has a buy 1 get 1 half price offer and you can use your student discount there too I was well and truly lured in.

    Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

    Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Beige Babe

    Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Epic

I picked up the Eraser eye concealer and I can honestly say in my opinion it's better then the collection lasting perfection concealer. It gives really good coverage and hides spots incredibly well. I love the applicator for this product to it means you'll only use what you need. I got mine in the shade 'nude' as I have a dark skin tone.

I've heard so much about the Maybelline Colour Show Lipstick in 140 I just had to get it. It's an amazing nude shade and the pencil is very moisturising and long-wearing. I'd highly recommend this and I can't wait to wear other colours in the range.

    Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

    Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Beige Babe

    Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Epic

I've heard so many good reviews on the Lash Sensational Mascara and I have to say it's not disappointed me yet. I prefer this to the roller lash mascara from Benefit as this mascara doesn't dry my eyelashes out.

Some of my favourite nail polishes are the Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polishes. They last a few days without chipping and the colour of the polish after a couple of coats is an opaque colour. Another Rimmel favourite of mine is the exaggerate lipliners. They're available in a range of colours, have great pigmentation and are only £3.99!

  • Lifestyle: An Insight Into Easter Eggs

I never thought I'd find an email like this so interesting. I'm bombarded with such random emails everyday and this one caught my eye. Connexica is a company that offers a data analysis tool called CXAIR. They turned to analysing the value of Easter Eggs this week and It was so interesting to find out what's value for money, what's not and just a little more in-sight into the product we'll all be buying this week!

With so many Easter Eggs in the shops at the moment, what's the best value egg for your money? I found this problem in M&S with my mum a few days ago. We ended up picking chocolate eggs for me and my sisters which were more value for money rather than then the more expensive option. So here's what Connexica have discovered from their Easter egg analysis...

    High Quality Or High Price?
This chart shows the average price of an egg per 100g. This chart shows Aldi were the best value for money and Morrisons, Sainsburys and Asda were very similar.

    Best Value for Money
This graph shows which is best value for money for Easter eggs and Aldi came out on top with their own brand as the cheapest chocolate and as you can see Waitrose is the most expensive again! This is just a little snippet into the data Connexica collected. You can check out more on their blog here.

    Happy Easter Egg Shopping!

  • Jo Malone Plum Blossom

JO MALONE PLUM BLOSSOM COLOGNE - £87
Sometimes its hard to work out where winter ends and Spring begins. Then when does Summer begin when all the seasons seem to blur into one here in the UK. None the less fresh in for spring is the Jo Malone Blue Skies & Blossoms collection.

A floral trio of scents for spring which are heady, bouquet inspired fragrances with a modern twist. Long gone are the days of associating florals with your Grandma, this launch is reinventing florals so they are more natural, authentic and light.

Jo Malone Plum Blossom is a juicy, light blossom-y fragrance that booms spring. Think, florally, woody musky kinda scent. I don't really get many plum notes but I can lightly smell the fruity notes within the fragrance. Crisp and sharp but it has a really strong overtone of the floral elements. It might be a bit heady for some but I quite like it. Very spring inspired and feminine!

    SHOP THE POST

Who remembers my The Whitepepper Addiction from a couple of years ago? Yeah it shows no signs of slowing down. I picked up this super cute Dinosaur dress from the brand just before I headed off to Japan from the Topshop website! I love both dinosaurs, smocks and The Whitepper so obviously I had to get it! I adore their smock style dresses as they flatter my figure and look super duper cute at the same time.

I don’t think it’s in stock anymore on the Topshop site but you can pick it up directly from their online shop still. For reference mine is a small, but I wish I picked medium as hopefully it’d be a bit longer. I feel like the hemlines on The Whitepepper stuff is a bit hit and miss, sometimes its longer sometimes it’s shorter!

    Topshop Beauty The Foundation
    Topshop Beauty Cheek Jelly
    Topshop Nails
A few weeks ago I opened up this amazing parcel from Feel Unique. As time goes on I'm becoming more of a fan of Feel Unique. Whenever i'm wanting some beauty related for someones birthday present it's the first place I stop and look. I love how whenever you type for a discount code for Feel Unique online there's normally a 10% off code or offer of some sort as well.

    Topshop Nails
I've never been the biggest fan of Topshop nail polishes but this dark purple didn't disappoint. It's been a great colour for when I want to be a little bit more bold with my nails. It lasts a few days without chipping too!

    Topshop Beauty The Foundation
Topshop foundation is something I'd never thought I would try. I'm used to MAC foundations which don't come out the bottle this thin but it was so good to try a new foundation. Once blended in this foundation was quite sheer coverage so on days when I don't feel like wearing as much make up!

Mac Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Soap and Glory Solar Powder - Boots
These past 6 months or so I've been loving all things beauty. I picked up Fleur De Force's book for a bargain price on Amazon and it's such a great book. If you're a student with an NUS extra card use your discount for an extra 5% off if you want to purchase the book. It's a light hearted read with beauty tips and fashion tips and I love flicking through it with a cup of peppermint tea.
I have been in love with the Naked 1 Palette ever since I've got it. It's such a gorgeous eyeshadow palette and with an eyeshadow primer the colour lasts all day. I love mixing the shadows together to create a smokey eye and I love the effect the Naked 1 Palette gives.

Since purchasing Velvet Teddy at the airport on the way to Dublin I've worn it most days. It's the most gorgeous colour and I find that it really suits my skin tone.
The last favourite of mine for this month is the Soap and Glory Solar Powder. It's a gorgeous shade for a bronzer and I use it not only as a bronzer but also a contour. I really like this bronzer, I picked it up on the Boots 3 for 2 a few weeks ago. You can't beat a good offer!

In this outfit post are pretty much all of my favourite items of clothing to wear at the moment. I recently received a gorgeous package from Jane Norman. I was a massive fan of Jane Norman when I was younger, did anyone else use to carry the Jane Norman bags to high school?! I think Jane Norman have a great new feel to the brand and this top is a perfect summer staple. It's a great fit and looks amazing with my new skinny black jeans from ASOS!

These jeans have a slight leather look feel to them which is so different from a simple normal pair of black skinny jeans. I think the rips on the jeans give the outfit a more edgy look and makes my legs stand out a bit! I've teamed this top and skinny jeans with my favourite scarf I picked up in Dublin while I was away with my boyfriend. If you haven't read the blog post of what we got up to you can read it here.

This summer I think that midi skirts will be a huge trend again. I would definitely pick up a black midi skirt like this one to make such simple outfits you'll wear this summer look extra trendy. I'd team this skirt with a pair of flat shoes, sandals or even a low pair of heels! Oversized shirts are a trend I think is here to stay. One site I'm loving way too much at the moment is Pretty Little Thing. Their clothes are such good quality. (unlike some other online retailers) and the clothes they stock are so on trend! • Pink Ombré

So a couple of months back I collaborated with LIVE to switch up my hair from it’s usual messy blonde brown roots look for something a little fresher (and colourful!) for spring. LIVE Color makes the whole process so easy to do so I thought why not just go for it. Colour is a fun way of freshening up your look at home!

For my hairdo' I decided to refresh my blonde roots with LIVE Absolute Platinum and add some pink to the tips using a mix of Ultra Brights Pillar Box Red and conditioner. It’s a really fresh update for spring that just works so well with my everyday look. As I wear pretty monochromatic outfits most of the time so using my hair as a coloured accessory is cool and chic.

As a blogger I always get comments on my hair and it was really exciting to see how my audience reacted to my pink tips. They all loved it, which was a real confidence boost!

I’m super excited to be part of the LIVE Lookbook - just a fun and exciting project to be part of. Especially with all the other girls looking extra fab and rocking a variety of cool hair shades. It is going to be awesome seeing how everyone has added colour to their hair in different ways! Ombré seems to be super popular choice too!

I cant wait to share with you more updates about this project so keep an eye out for what might coming up.

  • Beauty: Nivea Micellar Water | Sponsored Video

Micellar water is definitely having a moment on the high-street right now. It's a great alternative to using face wipes to take your make-up off and it's much better for your skin. Nivea have just brought out their 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water. It's a super gentle micellar water which is an essential for every busy modern girls beauty bag! I picked mine up on offer in Boots for about £2 and I'll loved using it everyday since.

Nivea is offering a much more affordable micellar water and this one is specifically aimed at girls with sensitive skin. It's a lot less effort then using other micellar waters and it leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed and completely make-up free.

To take my make-up off in the evening all I do is take about 6 cotton wool pads and cover a couple with the micellar water and wipe my make-up off. It's so simple and I never use anymore then about 6 pads each night. The formula for this micellar water is very different from others on the high-street. It's much more sensitive so it is perfect for removing eye make-up as well.

You may have seen some of your other favourite bloggers talking about the micellar water, you can take a look at the video here:

Here's some links if you want to know more about Nivea. Check out there Website, Twitter and Facebook.

  • Easy Summer DIY's

This post is SPONSORED by Gallo Family Vineyards

A couple of weeks ago, I took part in a really exciting photoshoot which I teased over on my Instagram and I’m pleased to finally be able to tell you all about it and show you some of the shots we got from the day!

This spring I’ve teamed up with Gallo Family Vineyards to show you some of my 2015 Must-Have style hacks inspired by the refreshing and sweet Moscato and Pink Moscato. I’ll be showing you a few ways to update your summer wardrobe with the help of some little simple to follow DIY’s. All these items are things you might already have lying around or can pick up off eBay or your local craft store, so it’s a great way to update your wardrobe ahead of the new season!

    DIP DYE VEST

To take a plain vest to the next level you can do some super cool dip dye! It’s a fun take on the tie dye trend but more subtle and just as easy. Make up your dye as per the instructions on the packet in a bowl but only use half the dye. Then wet your vest and dip into the dye solution. Then slowly add more colour the bowl as you remove it from the dye, this gives a more saturated look at the bottom. Leave to dry and launder as per normal, and voila! Simple dip dye tees! This can be done on anything from dresses to skirts to shirts, and its really fun!

    LBD UPGRADE

Update your favourite little black dress with this fun evening dress hack. You know when your necklace gets all tangled and you don’t know what to do with them? Simply break it up into bits, arrange them on your dress then attach them to the neckline using a glue gun! It’s an easy way to update your favourite dress with something you already have lying around the house. Easy!

For the ultimate hipster summer chic look, try upgrading your sunglasses with some gems. To do this just use a glue gun and some gems that you can pick up off eBay for a couple of pounds and stuck them on an old pair of sunglasses. It’s such an easy way to create a fun festival look!

Post-shoot I headed home to have a chilled glass of Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato. It’s a deliciously sweet white wine with citrus and floral notes that is ideal for summer evenings and BBQ’s. Alternatively, if blush is more your thing then you could always grab a glass of Gallo Family Vineyards Pink Moscato which is a refreshing rosé wine with notes of ripe nectarines and juicy pomegranate.

So that’s it, three of my Must-Have looks! Inspired by Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato and Pink Moscato, these looks are super easy to follow at home and some of the DIYs can even be done on other items around the house! If you try your hand at any of these DIYs then make sure to tag me in photos on Instagram or Tweet me! Would love to see your take on these tips!

Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato and Pink Moscato both have an RRP of £6.99 and are available from all major retailers. For more information please visit www.gallofamily.co.uk, or the Gallo Family Vineyards Facebook page – www.facebook.com/GalloFamilyVineyardsUK.

  • Fashion: Ways To Wear A Trench Coat in Summer

Striped Crop Top - Pretty Little Thing*
PU Belted Trench Coat - Rare London*
White Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing*
Indigo Blue Joni Jeans - Topshop
Nude Pink Backless Shoes - Topshop
One thing I'm loving at the moment is coats. It seems weird being obsessed with coats as it's getting warmer here in the UK but there's so many coat styles i'm loving at the moment. I love wearing coats for sunnier weather too. At the moment I'm obsessed with this trench coat and wearing it with t-shirts underneath.

PU Belted Trench Coat - Rare London*
White Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing*
Indigo Blue Joni Jeans - Topshop
Nude Pink Backless Shoes - Topshop

It's so lightweight and perfect for those sunny days when it's a little less sunny. I've teamed it with the comfiest striped top I own at the moment from Pretty Little Thing. It goes amazingly with high-waisted jeans for a laid back casual look.

I've teamed this outfit up with my favourite Pretty Little Thing clutch bag and the shoes I'm obsessed with at the moment from Topshop. I wore this outfit on a date night with my boyfriend as it was a casual look but not overly casual. It was perfect for the warm nights we're having at the moment here in the UK!

  • 5 reasons you should Vote

Voting. Yeah. I know it’s off brand and probably not something you’d expect to see me harping on about on the blog but it’s so so important, For years I was incredibly uninterested in politics. Even when I reached 18 and had the right to vote I still didn’t take the time to really educated myself on the subject. It’s not something we’re really taught in schools (I mean I knew what the parties were called, but no idea of their values or core messages). Flash Forward and now and I’ve actually realised how important using my vote is.

Today I want to encourage you all to go out to register to vote as well as visit your local polling station. So here are 5 reasons why you should vote....

    It’s worth it.

While voting might seem like a chore, it really doesn’t take all that long. Is a quick half and hour to and from the polling station. You have the power to make a difference that effects not only your life and the people and community around you.

    The Youth Vote is underused

Often politics isn’t aimed at young people (but they sure are trying, Hello PM's instagram feeds) but we have a voice and we should use it. Each party are spending thousands of pounds trying to appeal to us by using Twitter and Instagram (and failing miserably) to connect with us. They see how much power we could have if we just chose to vote. Politicians often cater their manifestos towards people who are more inclined to vote which is generally older people or people who have specific view points. Year after year I see young people saying they won’t vote because it’s not worth it or nothing will change. It’s sad but in the last General Election less than half of 18 to 24 year olds voted.

If you don’t vote nothing will change

If you don’t vote then stop complaining about how terrible you think the government is. Not voting means your part of the problem which lets an extreme party into power. If you don’t vote it’s like saying “Well I don’t really care what happens to my country”. Exercise your PRIVILEGE to vote. There are people in the world who are begging for the freedom to choose their own political powers and women fought so hard to make their opinion count. Don’t sit back and not bother at all because YES nothing will change.

    Think of the future

Things happening in this general election will have a knock on effect in the future. Think about the world your going to grow up in or your children might grow up in. Topics like education funding, fracking, employment and job training programs and health care all effect young people’s lives. Without having a say on these things now it can have a knock on effect in the future.

    Your voice will be heard

Like I said the misconception of not voting because you think your opinions won't make a difference is so dumb. When your vote is mixed with other like minded people’s votes thats when things start to change. But in the same way if the only people who do turn up to vote are the passionate far right... The louder that voice grows and therefore is being heard and could potentially go into power. We're currently living in an age where an extremist party is getting almost as many votes in the polls as the big two parties. Vote because you can, we have a democracy for a reason and it only works if you actually do something about it rather than taking it for granted.

I’m not going to tell you who to vote for because you have to work that one out for yourself. Educate yourself and just do it. Don’t think about doing it. Don’t put it off. It’s really not that much effort. SO GO TO THAT POLLING STATION AND BLOODY DO IT. I get why people are disenchanted by Politics. I get why people are dissatisfied and disillusioned with the current state of affairs in the UK (or insert your country name here). But what I don’t get is why young people aren’t actually voting or taking an active interest in the state of our country. If we don’t look at our options and look towards change nothing will happen and we’ll just be where we are and never move forward.

You can register to vote right up till the 20th April (which is also my birthday!) at this link www.gov.uk

The bottom line is, You have the right to have a say in how your country is run. It’s an absolute privilege to have and is so vital to our everyday lives. So just do it. Make the country a better place rather than blaming those who do vote for your poor choices.

  • Contour like a Boss

So the latest thing to plop (wow that doesn't sound glamorous at all) through my letterbox are the brand spanking new Illamasqua Gel Colours and Sculpt sticks. A creamy, gel-ish stick twist up thing-a-ma-jig which is said to be the next big thing in the beauty world. It’s a unique contouring gel that adds a subtle definition to the shape with the swipe of a stick and a pad of a finger. These sticks blend beautifully, feel cooling and light on the skin and a perfect addition to a spring summer makeup bag.

I have the shades Silhouette (a scary in the pan but blends out like a trooper deep brown) and Charm (a bold coral). Both go on very light and you can build up the colour as you go along. It doesn't ever feel like you’re over applying or adding too much colour to the face due to the super light gel formula. Silhouette adds a beautiful seamless natural shadow to the face with absolute ease. It creates a beautiful natural shadow which would be perfect no makeup makeup.

Like with a lot of Illamasqua products this would be suitable for all skin types and tones. It’s a real stand out, different product from the brand that is also something everyone can use from the most experienced makeup applier to the complete n00b.

    White Cami Dress - £22
    Floral Embroided Playsuit - £30
    Mesh Panel Playsuit - £35
    Floral Boyfriend Shirt - £20
    Floral Bralet - £15

One things that is great about Missguided is that each season they have such a variety of clothing to suit all body types and shapes. I think it's great that they now have a plus size range but also an active range for the girls which are fitness crazy.

Missguided are killing it with there 'new in' section at the moment. Everyday they seem to add new clothes to the website so there is always something new to look at. I'm loving the lace bralet and think it would look amazing with a black maxi skirt for summer. This laser cut out dress would look so good with a patterned kimono and a tan, perfect for those summery warm nights.

I'm really liking this white dress, It's a bargain at only £22 and would be so versatile to wear all year round. It would look so good during the day time but also at night too with a pair of heels and a statement red lipstick.

As soon as this gorgeous playsuit dropped through my postbox, I fell in love. It's from Lilylulu Fashion, if you haven't checked out their online store and want to see some quirky on trend pieces check out the site here. I absolutely adore the pattern on this playsuit! The floral print is so nice and very 70's which is really on trend at the moment. For this outfit I've teamed it with simple accessories. I think when you're wearing something patterned you have to team it with plain coloured shoes and accessories to keep a good balance (and still look stylish!)

  • Bronzing Solutions from Clarins

Is it time to start thinking about the summer tan? Well I guess it is April and before we know it it'll be summer and we'll have to brave getting our pins out. Although as Im typing this up the sun is beaming, Im not were near summer body ready. Recently I got some new bits from Clarin's which are perfect for summer ready skin.

Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact is the usual Clarins über bronzer they release every summer. This year it features a sea inspired motif in four bronzing shades from beige to terracotta. Each shade blends together to create a beautiful bronzing shade which perks up the skin and gives luminosity.

Then we have the Clarins After Sun Shimmer Oil which is a lightweight beauty oil with a pearly luminescence. Designed to perk up the skin after soaking up the skin and keep it hydrated at the same time. A fragrant mix of Hazelnut Oil, Mandarin, Grapefruit and YlangYlang this is ideal for holiday skin!

And the most exciting addition is the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster for Body - a bigger version of their best seller in 2014 Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster for Face. This version is much larger and can be added to body lotions in your own desired quantity to create a glow suitable to your taste. The results are a dreamy, flawless tan which is made to measure.

Clarins self tanning range is among one of the best selling ranges in the UK and one I cant rave about enough. I used the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow for Face all last summer to give myself a gorgeous model worthy faux tan and lamented when I lost my huge bronzer on a night out. Premium tanning doesn't get any better than this with a variety of products to suit so many needs!

This is my favourite outfit I've worn in such a long time. There's nothing I love more than a striped tee. As I'm typing this post right now I'm wearing a striped tee with black jeans. They can make any outfit you wear look stylish. I love how this striped crop top fits really well to my body shape. It goes so well with the white high-waisted ripped jeans too. I'd recommend going up a size in these jeans for a good fit!

  • Lifestyle: A Weekend In Wales

For Bank Holiday weekend my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Llangollen in Wales. I was so excited to get away for a couple of days and venture somewhere new! I love exploring places I've never been before and it was so nice just to get away for a bit. With all the stress of university work and 9 deadlines coming up in the next 3 weeks I'm so stressed at the moment!

We arrived on the sunday morning and it was such a lovely sunny day. It is so busy when we got to llangollen so it's obviously a popular place to go and visit! It was such a lovely town and had lots of lovely places to eat!

This is what I had for lunch! For this meal I had chicken, bacon and cheese with BBQ and Chorizo. It was so so yummy and definitely filled me up!

To help burn off all the calories we had just eaten, me and Ben walked to the top of this castle ruin. It was on the top of quite a steep hill which took us about 45 minutes to walk up. It was so beautiful the view and the castle once we got to the top though!

Once we walked down the hill again where the castle was, we had dinner in a pub along the side of the river. It was so lovely and as it was such a sunny day, it was so nice to sit outside and eat.

After we'd left the hotel the next day we headed to a tea rooms for a late breakfast. They officially made the best scones ever! Who doesn't love scones with clotted cream and jam?! mmmm....

Top - Topshop (Similar here and here)
PU Belted Trench Coat - Rare London* (Similar here and here)
    Jeans - Topshop
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
Here's my outfit for day 2 in Wales. Ben loves driving his car and so we went on a scenic drive through wales and stopped at places along the way. When we stopped in a nice place I managed to get Ben to take a couple of snaps of my outfit! For the second day I wore my trench coat from Rare London which i'm obsessed with at the moment. I teamed the trench coat with a striped top and a pair of black skinny jeans with my current favourite shoes from Topshop!

Here's a cute photo of me and Ben once when we stopped on our drive, the views were amazing we just stopped a few times, relaxed and took the views in. We spent the rest of the day driving around, seeing all the gorgeous views that Wales has to offer. We definitely want to go back and visit wales as the views were just amazing. It's crazy to think we were only a couple of hours away from home!

What do you think of Wales? Any places you'd recommend going to visit?

  • I'm writing a Book!

So… it’s finally got to that point where I have to announce something I’ve been working on for goodness knows how long. It’s been playing on my mind for what feels like forever. But yeap, Im writing a book.

I was pitched the idea of doing a book sometime in 2014 and I’ve been working on it here and there for almost a year now. I’ve been so nervous about announcing my book and I’ve had so many anxiety attacks this week just writing out this post. Mainly because Im doing a lot of it myself - From the writing to the image making the lot. Of course Im not doing the publishing part but I have some awesome people working on tat side for me. To me writing a book was such a daunting task really and a HUGE challenge for someone who isn’t a trained writer and isn’t even really that academic. I just knew that when I had this opportunity to share something in such a huge an unknown medium to myself - I wanted to share the thing that Im most knowledgeable and passionate about and that’s blogging.

My book is an inspirational slash advice style book for everyone from newbie bloggers, ones looking to up their game as well as advice going into full time blogging. It’s going to cover things from social media plans, content management, how to get inspired, how to name your blog and how to make the jump from hobby to full time blogging. I get asked every single day for advice on blogging and while I think you should take blogging tips with a pinch of salt sometimes I just want to inspire people to go forth and blog. A lot of it is done already but if you have any questions or topics you think I should cover then do let me know in the comments.

I just wanna take some of those questions people have a long the line of blogging and have a definitive answer to them all in the same place. Taking away that kinda nervousness about starting something new and different.

Blogging changed my life is so many ways. From confidence, financially and turned my lifestyle on it’s head. Not to mention changing my whole career path. It’s a huge part of who I am and who I grew up to me. Im forever grateful for the people who support my blog and have been around from the start. It’s so crazy how huge blogging has got over the years and I feel so blessed to be part of this rich and exciting community.

But yeah I knew I wanted to write a book that served a purpose so thats why I pushed to write a book about a subject rather than about myself.

Obviously I have a great editor behind me editing my terrible spelling and telling me off for trailing off in the middle of a sentence but I am writing it myself and yeah. I dont really know what else to say! As soon as I get all the info about when its published and preorders I’ll of course let you know. As I name the book and all that jazz I’ll let you know. I know it’s tentatively scheduled for September though… so yeah. IM DOING A BOOK OMG.

I’ve been having anxiety attacks on the reg just thinking about this post and Im so scared about the reaction. However Im so excited, proud and just you know… stoked about doing something like this.

  • Beauty: Eyes From Yves Rocher

Quad Eyeshadow Sumptous Color - Yves Rocher*
    Volume Mascara - Yves Rocher*
Creamy Kohl Liner - Yves Rocher*
Fixing Eyelid Primer - Yves Rocher*
Yves Rocher is a brand I've never tried before. I've heard a lot about them and how great their skincare is. It's Frances no.1 selling make-up and skincare brand I thought it was time to give Yves Rocher a try.

Yves Rocher uses home-grown botanical ingredients to create affordable and natural beauty products. It was the eyeshadow palette which I really fell in love with. It's so compact and easy to use and it can help you create the perfect smokey eye. It's become a firm favourite in my make-up bag. The Eyelid Primer is another favourite of mine. It's come in so handy when I want to create a good smokey eye with any eyeshadow and it certainly ensures my eye make up lasts all day.

Due to my quite simple make-up routine, I don't use Kohl Liners very often. I loved the intensity of this liner when I created a smokey eye look for when I went on a night out last week! Overall I didn't realise how affordable Yves Rocher is and the make-up really doesn't disappoint.
Have you tried Yves Rocher? What do you think of their make-up products?

I've always wanted a pair of Ray Ban Sunglasses and I finally have a pair! They're so perfect and have been in my handbag around with me everyday since I've had them!

I've kept the sunglasses in the case since I've had them and they just live in my handbag. They're so easy to wear with anything and they'll last you for years and years. Ray Ban's are sunglasses which are a wardrobe essential. I know my mum had a pair when she was younger and she still wears/has them now!

I picked up these culottes from ASOS and I've been obsessed with them ever since. Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 9 China Rose*

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 16 Paper Rose*

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 22 Cafe Lait*

Im not 100% sure if these are new launches from Collection or just their original collection of Lasting Colour Lipsticks are being updated with some new shades(I cant find the press release off hand) But there are some fresh shades in the drugstore that that I just had to share with you.

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 22 Cafe Lait - Creamy Warm Nude
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 16 Paper Rose - Bright pretty pink
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 9 China Rose - "My lips but better" nude pink
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 15 Taffeta Bloom - Mid tone Pink (similar to MAC Please Me)
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 1 Tangerine Dream - Bright Peachy Cream

The Collection Lasting Colour The lipsticks feel thick (but not smothering) but also smooth and easy to apply. The formula is a sort of semi matte finish and if you are familiar with the Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipsticks then they are very similar to that. They feel nice on the lips and last a decent amount of time before needing a top off!

Affordable (£2.99 a piece) and available at most UK highstreet drugstores these are definitely worth picking them up at some point. I'd totally recommend Tangerine Dream, it's such a me shade! Peachy perfection!

  • Fashion: Next Shoebox Jukebox Event - #nextshoeboxjukebox

One things for sure nobody holds a blogger event like Next. The Next Social/PR girls get it so right overtime! I was invited down to London for the Next #shoeboxjukebox event last Friday and it was so much fun.

They always have so much yummy food and drinks at the events and it's like having a massive catch up session with so many bloggers whenever I go to a Next event. I always have such a nice time and it's so nice to be invited to such lovely events that Next hold.

They had these awesome dancers which performed the Beyonce Single Ladies dance which I totally wish I could learn and do as a party trick.

  • 3 Voluminous Hair Hacks

The higher the hair the closer to Jesus? Or something like that. For most of us the dream is to have long flowing hair with just the right amount of oomph. That sexy fullness only those who pay a fortune to get their hair blow-dried weekly can achieve. Here are a few of my voluminous hair tricks!

    Chubby Curling Tong
Pick a super duped wide barrelled curling tong and take 1-2 inch sections and curl. Then as you let them loose use a comb to brush them out. Make sure to prep the hair with a good heat protectant that has a little hold. My pick is the L'Oréal Paris Elnett Curl Heat Protect Spray. Results- bouncy loose curls with just enough definition. Psst - Babyliss Glamour Waves is the best tool.

    Velcro Rollers
Think of these as a push up bra for your hair. Prep hair by scrunching through a bit of mousse (Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse) and then take a roller and roll the hair up. Don’t worry about being to precise about this as uneven placement can add to the undone voluminous look. Number 1 Tip? Roll the ones at your crown away from the face. Set the hair with heat and finger comb out.

    Prepping Products
Make sure to use a texturising or volume boosting spray before drying the hair. If you have fine hair to begin with and struggle to get volume then this is key step. Just make sure not to overload the hair with product as it can leave it looking TOO volumised. Remember were going for sexy mussed up volume not crazy dragged through a hedge volume! Oribe Dry Texurising Spray and Bumble and Bumble Salt Spray in conjunction with each other is just... next level.

  • Abm Messybox Unboxing

    APRIL MESSY BOX

If you asked me who my favourite bloggers are then I would immediately answer the A Beautiful Mess girls Elsie and Emma. They have an eye for colour, style and their content is so on point I just cant. The Messy box is a monthly subscription from the ABM girls that comes once a month and is packed full of beautiful papercraft and DIY bits and bobs. With this April kit, you get 9x12" paper in chic patterns, colourful cards in three different sizes in a bunch of amazing patterns and designs, and die cut plastic shapes. Some Washi to help your designs stick. And also a really unique rotary stamp!

I've done a video version to go alongside this as I thought it would be able to see a better overview of the designs and pattens which you can watch above or over on my vlog/random channel!

I really want to get into scrapbooking and I think this box has inspired me to get a bit more visual. It's a cool way to keep track of all the things you do and print out and record all your favourite memories. If Timehop has told me anything, I have no idea what those random tweets meant 3 years ago!

  • Some Slogan Tee's

    Mother of Dragons Tee

    Kale Jumper

I mean who doesnt love a good slogan tee? One day when I was browsing on Ebay I came across a couple of slogan tee's that had my name on it. Mother of Dragons was the first tee that made it's way into my basket. Obviously as a big ASOAIF/Game of Thrones nerd then I knew it was for me! The Kale jumper is a tribute to the one Bey wore in her 7/11 video (which I think is a super cool video even though I swear everyone hates it!). I got it nice and oversized for a looser oversized fit. I love wearing it with a faux leather skirt and some cut out boots. Really cool off duty chic look!
