Fashion: Ways To Wear Striped Trousers

    White Duster Coat - Primark
Black Cami Top - New Look
Black Stripe Trousers - New Look*
    White Heels - New Look*
I am obsessed with striped trousers at the moment. I love how they sink in at the waist and make you legs look longer. After visiting the recent New Look Press Day (post coming soon about it) I received a gift card and picked up these beauties to add to my summer wardrobe!

    White Duster Coat - Primark
Black Cami Top - New Look
Black Stripe Trousers - New Look*
    White Heels - New Look*
I absolutely love this outfit. I think it's so simple but it's stylish. I love a simple monochrome look and I think these pieces look great on their own as well. I've been wearing the striped trousers with jumpers on colder days and I think these trousers would look great on a night out with a simple crop top and pair of heels!

    White Duster Coat - Primark
Black Cami Top - New Look
Black Stripe Trousers - New Look*
    White Heels - New Look*
This is the sort of outfit I'd wear for an evening out having drinks or a date night. I'd wear it for a fashion event too as it's simple but stylish.

What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear these trousers?

Beauty: The £2.50 Benefit Gimme Brow Dupe

    Eyebrow Gel Mascara - Essence

Since I got Benefit's Gimme Brow I was addicted. I've worn the product everyday since I've had it and it's been the perfect product from my eyebrows. At £17.50 the product is far too expensive for a student or anyone really unless they really love there eyebrows so I've been desperate to find a good dupe. On a recent shopping trip I came across this amazing dupe from Essence Cosmetics (available at Wilkinsons stores)

    Eyebrow Gel Mascara - Essence

I use a eyebrow pencil for the bottom of my eyebrows and then fill them in with Gimme Brow. I was so excited to use this product especially as it was £15 cheaper then Benefit's version. The only key difference I've noticed with using this product is the brush is not as gentle as on the eyebrows as Gimme Brow. It's good pay off, goes well with dark eyebrows and keeps my brows in place all day.

    Eyebrow Gel Mascara - Essence

I'll definitely be repurchasing this product as it's saved me £15! I much prefer this to the Maybelline Brow Drama as the brush on the Essence eyebrow gel gives the eyebrows a much more natural look yet full look.

What do you think of this Gimme Brow Dupe? Will you be picking this one up?

    Fashion: Ways To Wear Culottes

    Ribbed Crop Top - Topshop*

Print Floral Culottes - New Look*

Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing

    White Heels - New Look

Culottes have been an obsession of mine from some time now. I think they're such a good trend especially if you're a girl like me who lives in jeans/trousers! You can see another way how I wear culottes in this post. They're such a great trend as you can add some print to your wardrobe with these light weight trousers and as they're cropped they won't make you really warm when it's hot outside which makes culottes a staple for your holiday wardrobe this summer.

    Ribbed Crop Top - Topshop*

Print Floral Culottes - New Look*

Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing

    White Heels - New Look

I've teamed these culottes with a simple black crop top this one's from Topshop. I think especially for holidays, culottes are a great trend. They can be worn casually with a pair of heels and a crop top or can be worn formally with a cami top and duster coat.

Lifestyle: 5 Things You Can Do To Make Another Bloggers Day

It finally hit me yesterday. I've been blogging 6 years now and I realised why so much has changed these past couple of years, not only has the blogging world/industry changed dramatically but so has the support and encouragement bloggers used to have for each other. I remember the days when I used to get 50+ comments on a blog post and it made me feel great, I loved how many people were reading and engaging with my content and it made me spur on to blog even more and it's those times which have spurred me on to continue blogging today.

Fast forward 2/3 years and I am happy if I get 5 comments on a blog post. I know technology has changed and it's a lot harder to write a comment after reading a blog post but lately my blog has got me down as I saw that my views on my blog were good but nobody was really engaging in the content i'd spent hours and hours creating. I realised in some ways I'm guilty of doing this myself. I'll really enjoy reading the content, I'll give it a heart on blog lovin and stick it into my saved posts folder but that's not the same as taking that extra bit of time to comment on the post and tell the blogger why you loved it. So here we are I've come up with a few things you can do to make another bloggers day and showing some blogger love.

    1. If you don't have time to comment on a blog post, send the blogger a message on twitter. It's quick, 100 times easier and you can generate a proper conversation and still show the blogger you appreciate there content.

    2. Watch/click on the adverts. Okay so we all know adverts on youtube and on blog sites bore you but blogging for many people is a full time job, how they earn a living and it's you which helps them achieve that dream of being a full time blogger. So next time you see an advert on a blog, click on it, read the article/watch the advert on youtube. Do your bit to help!

    3. Share the love on Facebook. I know Facebook isn't really the most popular tool for bloggers but it's still a great one. A lot of bloggers create good sharable content (cue Hannah Gale's awesome blog post lists) so why not click the share button and share it with your Facebook friends if you found it interesting? one of your Facebook friends will do too.

    4. Go old school, comment on the blog post. I love reading comments from people on my blog and I love it when you tell me your really enjoyed the post. I love it when readers make suggestions of things they'd like to see on my blog too. By taking 1 minute out of your day to comment on a blog post you liked, this could really make another bloggers day.

    5. Don't ignore the sponsored content. It's something i've seen a lot of lately, bloggers produce some amazing content (even though it's sponsored) and people penalise them and send them hate because of it. We all blog because we love it, we blog because we enjoy it. If someone came along to you and offered you money for doing something you loved, you wouldn't say no. Blogging is now a career for so many people and it's campaigns/sponsored content which enables bloggers to keep creating the unsponsored content and keep writing the content you love. Nothing is free, nothing is easy and blogging takes a lot of time. Despite your possible hatred for them read the sponsored post!

These are just a few things you could do to make another bloggers day, share the love, support each other and hopefully the blogging industry will get back to what it used to be like!

What do you think of blogging? How do you share content from other bloggers? what sort of content do you enjoy reading the most?

    Getting Festival Ready

This post is SPONSORED By TK MAXX

Recently I’ve collaborated with TK Maxx on some research that explores how social media influences our personal style and shopping habits. We’re now seeing the rise of the insta- wardrobe, as people look to social media for style inspiration. As someone who is a serial shopper, blogger and all round social media savvy chic, I know this all too well. I think 90% of the things I buy are based on things I see other people wear or talk about online. I can’t scroll thought my Instagram feed without being inspired or influenced by something someone I follow is wearing. I think it’s a really positive thing that we’re open to influences from real people online and not only celebrities.

TK Maxx is one of the best places to find designer items with super affordable price tags. You can literally pick up things for a fraction of their RRP and it’s a treasure trove of gems. I’ve worked with them to bring you my top look for festival season, I hope you love it!

For my outfit I decided to choose a loose tank and knotted it at my waist. For bottoms I decided to go with this unique cut out skirt - I love how the floral lace extends past the under skirt so it shows the pattern a little bit more. As footwear I found these sweet leopard skate shoes. Skate shoes are my favourite shoes for festivals purely because they are comfy and cool at the same time. Although with the British weather you may have to pull out the wellies! To accessorise I chose a pair of reflective sunglasses, a very well loved leather jacket and my trusty Fedora. I mean when in the last year have you seen me without one?

Every store has unique stock, so you may not be able to find my exact outfit in store, but I’m sure you’ll find something you love just as much as I like my outfit!

    Keeping Faith

A bit of a weird outfit for me as it's a very non-typical me outfit. However I wore this on a date recently so I thought I'd show it on here too. The reason why this came to fruition was because I saw someone in the street wearing a ripped midi skirt from ASOS (I was that person and stopped and asked her) and I just knew I had to recreate. Unfortunately it was OOS by the time I got around to ordering on it so I had to go searching for an alternative. This one is from Vila and is a little bit shorter (then again Im 5ft5, so maybe it's a good thing!).

I've been on a bit of a Midi skirt hype recently, I love the length more than ever and have been opting more and more for trousers and skirts that cut off mid calf rather than my usual mini. I think it's super flattering and I feel pretty comfortable in it! Maybe it's my old age (ahem) that has got me craving longer lengths!

    Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2015

ESTEE LAUDER BRONZE GODDESS! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Y’all know if you’ve been following my blog for a long time that I’m a die hard Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fan. I sing it’s praises pretty much every year and always end up buying about 3 bottles each time it gets released. Its EL iconic summer season perfume which sells out every year and if you haven’t smelled it you’re simply just missing out.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess is best described as “holiday in a bottle”. A mix of creamy coconut, vanilla, mandarin, amber, lemons and tropical flowers. Bronze Goddess just embodies all things summer. If you tried last year’s version then it’s pretty much the same as that one. Creamy, smooth, exotic and glamorous.

It’s out now so get your paws on it as soon as possible! Keep and eye out for a little giveaway Im going to host next week in which Im giving away 5 bottles of the stuff!

Fashion: New Look Autumn/Winter 2015 Press Day

A couple of weeks ago I headed down to London for New Look's latest press day. I'm a massive fan of the brand so without hesitation I booked my tickets for a 2 hour train and I couldn't wait to see what New Look had in-store for Autumn/Winter 2015.

The press day had a real 70's theme to it. There was a lot of patterned clothing, denim skirts, flared jeans and clothing with a laid-back bohemian vibe.

One thing that really stuck out to me was the amazing jewellery pieces which New Look have coming up next season. There was so many gorgeous silver pieces and they were either quite simple or very embellished which I loved.

One area New Look always wins at is accessories. I can't count on my hands how many New Look bags or pieces of jewellery I own. I much prefer it to some other brands as it doesn't tarnish easily. I love the New Look clutches as they're such good value for money too. I was also loving the shoes... I wanted all the shoes!

My favourite shoes were these black boots and purple heels. I think the boots would look perfect for Autumn/Winter, they're stylish and don't have too much of a heel and the shape of them was lovely to. I really liked these purple heels, they're a great alternative to a summer heel and the colour of them is gorgeous!

What do you think of New Look? What are you looking forward to next season?

    Whats in my Suitcase

Before I left for my Trek America I decided to do a packing video. It was a super casual video but I thought it might be a fun idea to show what I was brining with me. You can watch that over on my Youtube Channel for a full run down on all the things I picked to take with me!

There are a few things I’d change now I’m back and reflecting on the trip. Id really recommend bringing long pants/trousers and something like leggings or yoga pants. I last minute packed sweatpants but no jeans so I ended up buying pants while I was away. It’s America so everything was super easy to get hold of but you could save yourself money by packing them with you. I’d already planned on picking up an ‘murica hoody so I only bought the one I wore on the plane which was an error. Bring a few warm clothes even if you think its going to be hot because even thought it was generally pretty warm it does get incredibly cold in the evenings. Just because you’re in the desert it doesn’t mean it won’t get cold! It’s worth noting that our trip was unseasonably cold and rainy! I also packed a dress for our last night in Vegas as I wanted something a little over the top/dressy for Vegas, because it’s goddam Vegas!

Apart from that I used pretty much used and wore everything I bought with me. I would 100% recommend bringing a sleeping bag liner as it creates a extra warmth layer. Pick up things like suncream, bug spray (although I didn’t use it at all on the trip and didn’t get bitten) and a pillow from a Walmart stop along the way!

Whats in my Travel Makeup Bag

For tofays post I thought I'd share the things that I packed with me in my makeup bag as I went on my Trek trip! I love these whats in my makeup bag videos as it's always so interesting to see what people take with them and what they consider to be essentials!

My makeup bag is from Muji and was one of my favourite things I picked up before I left for my trip. The bag came in handy when I was away because I could take it in and out my suitcase with ease to take to the bathrooms to do my makeup and having everything organised and easy to reach was so handy. I also made a similar bag with all my skincare and haircare items in if you are interested in seeing that I can also do a post on my skincare bits.

I hope you find it helpful if you're off on a holiday in the next few months and want to know how I condensed my usual makeup collection into something more portable! Let me know what you think and make sure you give it a big ol' thumbs up over on my channel, it would mean a lot to me!

    Lifestyle: Cornwall Photo Diary

Just over a couple of weeks ago I went to Cornwall for a long weekend break with my boyfriend and his family and had the best time. I've never been to Cornwall and I was so excited to go. I love discovering places within the UK which I haven't visited yet! The photo above I took when we were walking my boyfriends dog it looked like we weren't in Cornwall and looks like a tropical island or something!

    Top - Topshop

Waistcoat - New Look (sold out but available in Blue here)

    Jeans - Topshop

    Scarf - Zara

Ben has the most adorable staffordshire terrier. He loves swimming and as soon as he saw the water he pulled on the lead and pretty much dragged us to it!

We saw some really beautiful views and the beaches were absolutely gorgeous. We stopped off for a drink at a nearby pub and I had the best cider. I've never had Somersby Cider before but I would strongly recommend trying the cranberry one it was so yummy!

When we walked through a local village I found this sign outside a pub and I just had to take a photo of it! We stopped for lunch and I had this delicious pie and chips. Newquay has some lovely pubs and they're quite different to the pubs I'm used to visiting. They have such a friendly atmosphere aswell.

I loved visiting Cornwall and Newquay and the surrounding areas of it and had the most amazing time with my boyfriend and his family. I really enjoyed my trip and loved how we found so many beautiful views and we didn't have to leave England!

Is there anywhere else in the UK you would recommend visiting? What do you think of Cornwall?

    Trek America - Day 4-7

In a theme that seems common with my travels I ended up losing all my photos from Moab and Bryce Canyon. Im so annoyed as Moab was probably my favourite part of our whole trip! It's a really cool town, kinda like hippy-ish and really chill. Here we ended up staying in a hotel for three nights which was a welcome break from the cold two nights we'd had! We went on this super cool sunset Jeep tour where we saw some amazing rocks and even some real dinosaur prints (yeap that photo is a REAL dino print!) Im such a fangirl when it comes to stuff like that and I was SO excited to see actual dinosaur stuff. We also went to Dead Horse point which was amazingly cool. I thought it was the biggest ammount of Canyon land I'd ever seen... well until we rocked up to the Grand Canyon!I do have footage of this so it'll be in my full vlog!

I also had a really moody day leading up to our time in Monument Valley. I was tired, sick and bored of being soggy and wet all the time. I even had a little melt down on Twitter about it which a lot of people took as the fact I hadnt enjoyed my trip at all. There are pros and cons of my experiance which I'll summarise at the end, but In hindsight I regret being such a Diva and getting pissed off at silly things but thats the downside of group travel. I think I just needed some "me" time and having people telling you need to be here there and everywhere constantly is really hard. Especially when you're so used to planning your own life out all the time.

I also think I was a bit hungover, somehow we managed to get incredibly drunk one night in Utah (considering they only sell 3% alcohol) and walked for ages to find a 7Eleven. In which Tyson and Steve bought Burritos, put them on the floor and then collected them later on in the night. I have no recollection of this but it was a really fun night to be honest. That's always gonna be my favourite part of the trip is the evenings where we'd get drunk and gossip and just talk about life. You get so close to people so quickly and before you know it you've spilled the sordid details of your sex life and tell people when you're going for a poop. It's weird.

On the drive to Monument Valley we stopped off at some pretty cool points. Including a place called Goose Necks... which I encountered my first gross toilet. In which I opened a toilet to go pee and there was shit everywhere. Literally an unholy amount of poop that I just instantly shrieked and ran away. We also stopped off at that spot in Forrest Gump where he just stops running randomly and decides to go home. But this was again during my moody day and I'm slapping myself now but I was really having a crappy day and projecting it on to others was not cool of me.

We drove through Monument Valley and got told all about the various rocks and what they all meant. It's actually really cool seeing this huge stone structures some natural and carved by the Navajo up close. Our guide told us about some of the Navajo culture and really shared their beliefs and stories with us. We had traiditonal Navajo Taco's (which were amazing) and did some dancing round the fire in the rain. While the rain that had initially put me in a bad mood was beating down on us (seriously we were ALL soaked) we had the best fun and one of the most entertaining evenings of our trip.

That evening we spent the night in a traditional Hogan which is the traditional houses of the Navajo people. They are these round mud huts and I really regret not taking any photos! I think I was too excited about the idea of all sleeping together to think about the #content.

All of us "Cool Crew" as we dubbed ourselves insisted we sleep together in a line which on reflection was a bad idea. Between Steve's coughing and him telling Evan "DUDE SHUT UP" and not to mention Evans's monstrous snoring none of us really got much sleep. Corrie did her first nature wee and I managed to be sick and wee all while Hannah Gale laughed in my face. I'd inhaled way too much chemical fumes and was just feeling less than awesome. None the less it was an experience I was never going to forget!

Fashion: Ways To Wear A Duster Coat

Duster Coat - Primark (Similar here and here)
Cami Top - New Look (Similar here)
    Clutch Bag - Primark
    Jeans - Topshop
    Shoes - Topshop

Duster coats are a trend which I'm absolutely in love with this season. I think they're so versatile and can make absolutely any outfit look stylish. I think every woman needs a duster coat in their lives as they'll be a great piece to add to any outfit. I think it's worth investing in a couple of them and you may have seen how I've styled my white duster coat here.

Duster Coat - Primark (Similar here and here)
Cami Top - New Look (Similar here)
    Clutch Bag - Primark
    Jeans - Topshop
    Shoes - Topshop

This is a simple look which is quite sleek and stylish. I love a simple monochrome look and to add more colour to this outfit I've worn a blue pair of high-waisted jeans and a colourful clutch bag. I think this is a great look for an evening out, night out or just on days when you feel like looking a little bit more glam!

I think duster coats will be a trend for a while as they're so practical and easy to wear. I think it's well worth investing in a duster coat this summer especially in Britain and the weather being so temperamental.

    Trek America - Route 66

Oh Route 66. The big highway that runs from one side of the country to the other(ish). All along the route were these kitsch hippie towns and quickly became a icon of American Culture. When interstates were bought into the USA the road fell out of favourite more and more and eventually became a weird sort of ghost town of the past. There are lots of stops along the way that are full of the Americana spirit of the time though and it's actually a pretty cool visual.

We stopped off at Delgadillo's Snow Cap Drive-In, which is still a popular tourist stop. Delgadillo was working on an extremely limited budget, so he built the restaurant mostly from scrap. At this stop there was a bunch of Cars inspired by the Disney/Pixar film with eyes on. It was really cool actually. So quirky, funny and you kept finding little things to make you giggle.

This was a really quickly stop but something I thought deserved it's whole post. The photos really speak for themselves really. It was like going back to the 50's and having big ol' slice of Americana!

When it comes to summer its all about experimenting with clothing. I recently saw this gorgeous dress on Lilylulu and fell a little bit in love. Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette - Feel Unique

Vera Wang Princess (100ml) - Feel Unique

Today's post is super exciting and it's for all your boyfriends/partners out there who don't know what to get your other half for their birthdays. I think it's a super common thing to do to just go into google and type 'girlfriend birthday gift ideas' and see what you think she might like. This gift guide is all about giving your partner the idea of what beauty products would work well as a gift for you.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - Feel Unique

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is a product many beauty bloggers/youtubers swear by. It's a product suitable for any skin type and removes make-up off completely. One thing I love about Feel Unique is even though you want to spend that little bit extra on a branded product they always have discounts and offers to help save you a few pennies and they also offer free delivery worldwide with orders over £10 which is amazing!

Real Techniques Nic's Picks Collection - Feel Unique

If you're buying a product for any beauty lover Real Techniques brushes are a must. They're so well priced, amazing quality and last really well. The brushes are so easy to clean and they are so soft when applying make-up. The Real Techniques sets are a great present for any lady in your life and anyone who's interested in make up. You can see a full review on the Nic's Picks collection here.

Vera Wang Princess (100ml) - Feel Unique

If you're a Vera Wang fan head over to Feel Unique right now! Currently in the sale the full size bottle is only £23.99! I think Vera Wang princess is a great fragrance for a girl who's quite feminine and what's a signature scent. I'll be writing a full review soon so keep an eye out for that!

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette - Feel Unique

When I first heard about the Urban Decay Naked Palettes and saw the price tag I thought they were far too expensive at £38 for an eyeshadow palette it's a lot of money to spend! Since Urban Decay came out with the Naked Basic's palette I wanted to try one out. They're so much cheaper then the other palettes and they include a great range of colours. I think the basic's palette is a lot more portable to so you can just pop it in your handbag! This is a great gift for a girl who loves theres eye make up or a girl who's just getting into eyeshadows and getting the hang of the smokey eye!

What do you think of these products? What's on your birthday wish list?

    Crisp White Shirt

Back in the outfit post swing! This has been a go-to outfit as of late purely because it's so me. Simple colours and textures that just work together in harmony to create a chic but effortless look. The shoes have quickly become my go-to summer shoes purely because they bridge that gap between sandals and a touch of rock n roll which is so my style.

A little S/O to my tiny new ASOS bar necklace. Im not very precious when it comes to jewellery so I rarely buy or wear it anymore (apart from rings!). I just saw this and was instantly drawn to it's minimalistic feel. I don't know why but I just love how it peeks out without being too over the top or in your face. V. pretty.

Lifestyle: 5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

    Married At First Sight
A recent discovery of mine is the TV show Married At First Sight. It's a programme people apply to in the chance of finding love. They put their trust in 4 experts who carry out tests and evaluations on people to see if they can find their perfect match. I've just finished watching the first season and it was so interesting. The couples meet at the alter, they get married and then they go on a honeymoon and live together for 4 weeks and then decide if they want to stay married or not. I genuinely can't wait for this programme to come to the UK.

    Staycations
Staycations are becoming more and more popular. With it costing so much to travel outside of the UK and go on holiday it's really worth visiting towns and cities in your own country. Recently I went to Cornwall with my boyfriend and his parents and we had the most lovely time. You can check out my post from the trip here. We also went about 4 months ago now to Dublin which I know isn't in England but it was extremely cheap to fly to. It was so nice exploring Dublin and you can check out what we got up to here.

    Urban Decay Naked Palettes
I've never been much of an eyeshadow fan until about 6 months ago. That's when the first Urban Decay Naked Palette entered my life. I think the Naked Palette is the best palette to buy, it's definitely the palette I've used the most. I also love the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette as it's handbag friendly and you can easily take it anywhere and achieve the perfect smokey eye on the go!

    Twitter
I think Twitter is my favourite form of social media. I love tweeting photos, quotes and what I'm up to. If you don't follow me already you can follow me here. I love keeping up to date with news, bloggers, celebrities via twitter and my favourite brands. I also love interacting with you guys. If you ever have a question or anything to ask just tweet me and I'll try and reply as quick as possible!

    Cullottes
Cullottes are my favourite fashion trend at the moment and I think they're a perfect trend for summer. You can see how I wear Cullottes in this post. I can't wait to wear them more in the summer when the sunshine decides to appear.

Facial Sunscreen you’ll want to wear

My skin hates sunscreen, but I KNOW I have to wear it and even more now summer is creeping slowly up on us. Most sun creams can make sensitive skin types break out, they just contain a few things that can cause breakouts. I actually think my face is allergic to sunscreen as it tends to bring me out in dry patches and burns slightly. There are a lot of different suncreams out there for the face but for me, they are just repackaged versions of regular sun screen.

Saying that Benefit Dream Screen is one of my all time favourite sunscreen products designed specifically the face. I love its dry matte feel, it kinda feels like a primer that a slick sun lotion. Apply a generous amount before applying any foundation or any base products and it’ll fully protect the skin from the sun. It’s also SPF50 which is ideal protection for the face! Packaged in a teeny vintage inspired blue packaging it’s a really eye catching and cute product that while it doesn’t scream “Summer SPF” it’s a good all year rounder.

We seem to be having such gorgeous weather in the UK at the moment. This weekend the weather was so nice and sunny and I thought It'd be a great time to take some outfit photos of the summer outfits i've been wearing. I am a little obsessed with the culotte trend at the moment and I think they're a real style staple for your wardrobe this summer.

Bardot Style Crop Top - ASOS
Culottes - New Look via ASOS (Similar Here)
    Shoes - Topshop

I love the print of these culottes and how summery they are. I think culottes look great for an evening look with heels and a bold lipstick and during the day they look great with a pair of sandals and a blouse/simple crop top.

What do you think of culottes? Are you a fan of the culotte trend?

Palm Print Bikini - Warehouse via ASOS

I've been counting down the days until mine and my boyfriends holiday to Crete at the end of this month. All I can seem to think about right now is sunshine, tanning and getting new summery clothes to wear on my holiday! Last year I spent the summer in New Zealand and Australia (you can read posts about what I got up to here, here and here) I had the most amazing time but It was never hot enough to head down to the beach and wear a summery bikini so I thought I'd put together a wish list of my favourite bikini's available on the high street right now!

ASOS have so many gorgeous bikini's online right now. I love this leaf print bikini and think it's perfect for a holiday in the sun. It's a gorgeous print and I think it would flatter all skin tones. Boux Avenue is also one of my favourite places for bikinis because if you're like me you have a larger bust size Boux Avenue sizes come in your bra size and so you're guaranteed for the bikini to fit you. If you're looking for something a bit on the more affordable side I'd recommend checking out Missguided for bikinis!

Beauty: Look Fantastic June Beauty Box

Look Fantastic Beauty Box - Look Fantastic*
Finally this month's beauty box arrived at my door yesterday. I moved out of my university halls and this was sent to the wrong address but I've finally got my hands on it! Whenever a Look Fantastic Beauty Box comes through my door I'm so excited to try out and see what's inside the box for the month. This month's beauty box is full of creams which is great because when you're on holiday you need travel sized products to take with you/try out. You may have seen my previous posts about the Look Fantastic Beauty Boxes here, here and here.

    Label M Protein Spray

I've been a fan of Label M products for a long time. They're such good quality, not overly expensive and they really work on your hair. I'm loving this protein spray as you can spray it only damp or dry hair for an extra shine to it.

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti Fatigue Moisturising Cream

For all your tired girls out there this product is for you. I'm all for skincare products to make you look less tired and more awake in the morning. So I feel like I'm going to love this product!

    Caudalie Radiance Serum

I'm all for products which make your skin more clear and radiant. I think especially in the summer this is perfect sort of product to make your skin more dewy and have more of a glow to it.

    Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

This product is a face mask and I'm really looking forward trying to trying it out and seeing how it works out on my skin.

    Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion

This is a product which I'm not sure will be suitable for me right now but for you slightly older women which are reading this post It's well worth giving this product a try. The full size product for this is a massive £65 so if you're into trying out anti-wrinkle products it's well worth trying this months beauty box just to try this product!

Balance Me Revitalising Hand and Body Wash

I really love Balance Me products. They work really well on my skin and I use a Balance Me face wash everyday. This is definitely my favourite product in this months beauty box and I can't wait to add this into my daily skin routine.

I really love these beauty boxes every month and it's well worth picking up a box as they're only £15! If you're looking for those extra skincare products to make your skin dewy and radiant I'd recommend picking up this box!

The duster coat trend is possibly my favourite trend of the year so far. You can see in previous posts how much I love wearing duster coats here, here and here. I absolutely love this outfit. I really like teaming duster coats with simple outfits such as this one which is just a patterned cami top and high-waisted jeans. I think a duster coat can really add that stylish edge to an outfit.

    Beauty: Boyfriend Birthday Gift Ideas

Tweezerman G.E.A.R Essential Grooming Kit - Feel Unique
ManCave Grooming Originals Gift Set - Feel Unique
Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau De Toilette - Feel Unique
Here's the second instalment of my collaboration with Feel Unique, last week you would have seen my Girlfriend Birthday Gift Ideas post here. There's so many of you reading this which will have a boyfriend and when it comes to birthdays, christmas or even holidays such as valentines day don't know what to buy them. Beauty items always seems to be the easiest things to go for when you're shopping for men. I think one of the first gifts I gave my boyfriend was cologne!
So for all your girls out there who are struggling to find your other half a gift look no further for some ideas! These items were chosen by my boyfriend and my sisters boyfriend so these are 100% good options!

Tweezerman G.E.A.R Essential Grooming Kit - Feel Unique
All men (well a large percentage of them) will care about their appearance, whether it's plucking their eyebrows, clipping their toenails but when it comes to this they'd rather steal your tweezers and nail clippers. It's about time they had their own set and this Tweezerman set is perfect if your man loves to look after himself.

ManCave Grooming Originals Gift Set - Feel Unique
For the less groomed male but a male who wants to smell nice and feel good it's best going down the grooming route, the moisturisers, shower gels, hair wax, that sort of thing and this set from ManCave is great for that and it comes with awesome packaging too and will only set you back £20.

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau De Toilette - Feel Unique
Gucci fragrances will always go down well with the man in your life. I think the smell of the scents are so nice. I think theres a massive difference between a cheap male cologne and a good one. (I find with womens perfumes you can't tell as much!) and it's worth investing in a good cologne. I would recommend anything by Gucci or Hugo Boss as well. If you have a smaller budget I'd recommend the David Beckham cologne's as they're really nice too.

    Lets Talk - My Book

Right. So where do I start with all this. By the Old Gods and the New, this is one of the weirdest, awkward and serious posts I’m going to write this year but hey ho. So, Guess who’s walked away from their book deal? Oh that would be me - Lily Melrose. So yeah, my Book (Just Blog It) isn’t going to be a thing. Well not for now anyway.

You may or may not have noticed that I've sort of kept quiet on the subject for a few weeks while we worked out the terms of ending the contract. And while I can’t go into the full details as to why I made the decision I have done fully, I can explain a bit of it. Some of it for professional reasons and I just don’t want to be a dick, you know? But I’ll try and talk about it as well as I can before y’all call me crazy, silly and petty for blowing off a sweet book advance and the “glory” of being an “author”.

A bit of background about my book. I was pitched by a publisher an idea in around April/May about doing a book of some kind. Agreeing to it sometime in the early summer. I made a sly reference to my book in a video (and even mentioned in the comments at the time) to the fact I was writing a book which was taken as shade towards Zoella. It wasn’t intended as shade I was just being cryptic but it’s a perfect example of how things can be misconstrued on the Internet. Once I’d announced my book people were quick to pull me up on my apparent shade even though it was nothing at all. The idea of doing a book was bought to me way before it became a running joke that “all" Youtubers/Bloggers release books. At the time I thought it was a cool, original idea and I’d seen a few bloggers do something similar and I was feeling super inspired. People like the girls at ABM, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere and Adorn by Shini and Kit.

We went back and forth a few times before I firmly stated I didn’t want to do an “About Me” book. I knew I wanted to use the opportunity to share my thoughts on something I feel fairly knowledgable about - Blogging. I've been blogging for over 6 years now and as my full time job for almost 4, and I felt like it was something I had a valid and solid opinion on.

I never set out with the intention of wanting to be a published author, and while that might make it sound like I’m poo-pooing on talented people out there who DO want to be published writers - I really hope it doesn’t come across like that. A lot of people throw shade saying that "we" are hindering others from breaking into the market. Which in some ways is true, it has become a bit of a thing and oversaturated market to boot. It often feels contrived and some are going ahead with books dubious intentions. But on the whole most people are doing it from a pure, exciting and career moving forward place. I don’t believe blog books are bad for the industry at all. Clearly publishers see a ready formed market for it and in most cases they know books by bloggers/vloggers will sell. It's less risky for them. Plus I think it gives the world of blogging and vlogging a well needed boost of legitimacy in a medium that thinks we’re all idiots that sit on our computers all day. Bloggers/Vloggers are incredibly discredited and disrespected by "old" media and it's still an area that people just dont get.

I kept saying to everyone who gave me crap about being “Another Youtuber who wants to be writer” that I’m STILL a blogger, I will always be a blogger - I write stuff and put it on the internet. It’s like how a few years ago most people assumed all bloggers wanted to be journalists. Blogging is about sharing your thoughts on whatever subject your knowledgeable about on the world wide web. If that be beauty, fishing, pro wrestling, fire eating or sword fighting whatever, you can write about whatever you want. I looked at writing a book as commenting on a subject about something I felt like I had some insider information on. Surely thats how any book about a specialist subject is created?

Anyway back to me. One reason I felt hugely unhappy was the creative part of the book. I didn’t feel like the book was coming together in the way I’d imagined when I’d got pitched the idea. I come from a graphic design and art background - it’s kinda my thing. I went to Art School and have a Degree in Graphic Design. For me the visuals in a book/magazine/blog are probably just as important to me as the actual text. I’d envisioned this awesome pretty coffee table book with a mixture of sweet typography and cool photos… and to be frank it just wasn’t anywhere near that. As it wasn’t my responsibility to design the book and I was putting it in someone else’s hands and it was quite nerve wracking. Now my book obviously wasn’t being rushed to print (as I’ve been working on it for a year), but it was drawing closer and closer to this cut off date and I was still nowhere near being happy. I would never EVER put something out into the world without being 110% pleased with it. And I felt like if that project went any further without me liking it then I’d be incredibly disappointed with myself.

When I went on my Trek America trip I spoke with Emma Blackery, who is honestly one of my favourite people I’ve ever met. Girl doesn’t mince her words and will 100% tell you what she thinks. We spoke about my book and her feelings on Youtuber books and I think that was the moment I felt like I had to either walk away or change things dramatically.

Other things that added to this decision was how I felt like because I was putting all my effort into this book my blog and channel completely slipped. As I said I want to blog, that is my thing. I was spending so much time thinking about blogging and writing about blogging I wasn’t doing the thing I actually enjoyed the most - the actual blogging. I don’t have a 5 year plan about where I want to be in life. And honestly my previous 5 year plan of doing this full time blogging thing has come to it’s fruition and I part of me craves something new. I’d have to commit to this book for goodness knows how long when Im at a point where I don’t know if I want to travel the world or settle down.

There was a lot of aspects of the project I was unhappy about also but I can’t go into detail regarding those. The reality is I should have walked away when I started feeling those gut feelings of doubt. I think part of it was the fear of failing, part of it was the fact I’d spent so long on it and part of it was just stepping into the unknown. Like everything in life trust your gut instinct. My ex boyfriend broke up with me right after I called him out about a girl who his now his current girlfriend. I think my gut was right there and I (hope) Im right here.

So what am I doing now? Im really not sure. I have this 32,483 word manuscript on my computer that I’ve put my soul and thoughts into for the majority of a year and a bit and at a loss what to do with it all. I may re-purpose some of it as blog posts, I might just sit on it till I feel like the time is right. But for now it’s firmly being put on the back burner while I focus on the things that are important to me - Myself and my Blog/Channel. Part of me feels like I wasted a bunch of time on this thing and walking away is one of the silliest things I’ve ever done. But my gut feeling is to walk away and try again at a point where I feel more comfortable and Im going to release something that will blow everyone away and I'll be proud of.

Some might call me dumb for walking away from a solid publishing deal, guaranteed money and ton of mainstream exposure. Some might call me a coward for fearing the unknown, some might just think that it’s all really ridiculous. Some might think I’ve done the right thing. Im generally a very noncommittal person, I do what I want to to do when I want to do it. Im stubborn as an ox and will always do things in my own time and maybe this book has made me understand that part personality better than I had before.

For those that preordered my book, you will get a full refund from the Publishing House within the next few days and I really sincerely apologise for any disappointment I might have caused. I hope my reasoning and thought process behind my decision makes sense. I honestly have 10000 thoughts running through my head from feelings of shame to relief, fresh starts and motivation. I no longer have this huge thing looming over me which I struggled to keep engaged with which Im now turning into something positive and I can work on in my own time if I see fit.

I hope you all continue to stick around while I work on refocusing and sorting things out. I will share some of my most helpful chapters and pages with you guys as I do want to get some of it out there into the blogosphere! Feels weird to have done so much yet not shown anyone when I share things almost everyday! I love you all and thank you so much for all your support and understanding. You're all awesome and I dont deserve it.

Fashion: This Weeks High-Street Picks #42

Red Stripe Shirt - River Island
Ribbed Halterneck Crop Top - Topshop
    Plunge Maxi Dress - Missguided
    Leaf Print Jumpsuit - Topshop
Light wash Denim Dress - River Island
Black Caged Shoes - River Island
    Grey Jumpsuit - Missguided
When it comes to this time of year, when the sun is occasionally out and it feels super sunny here in England all I want to do is buy every piece of summer clothing I see. I really love how stripes are in at the moment, I've seen a lot of over-sized striped shirts on the high-street and this one from River Island is to die for. It would look amazing with high-waisted white jeans on a summery day but it would look amazing on a night out with black jeans, a statement necklace and heels.
Maxi dresses are a total summer essential for any girls wardrobe. I love this one from Missguided as it's quite simple but stylish. I think it would look amazing on the beach with a tan. Every summer I feel the need to invest in a new jumpsuit. Jumpsuits are great for spring/summer as you can wear them up or wear them down. I think a stylish patterned jumpsuit like this leaf print one from Topshop would be great for that. It would look good with brown sandals on the beach in the sun, or with a leather jacket and a pair of trainers when it's not so sunny!

The new Laura Mercier Silk Creme

I was really sad when I heard mutterings that my favourite foundation of all time was about to be reformulated and remixed. As someone who once they find something they love they wear it religiously I panicked. Goodbye Laura Mercier Silk Creme and in swung the Laura Mercier Silk Cream Moisturising Photo Edition foundation.

So. Basically it’s very similar but it’s taken out the matte element of the foundation completely. It’s a very radiant and glowy base which my skin seems to be loving. I’d been noticing for a few months my skin just wasn’t loving the dryness of the OG LMSC. It started to cake around my nose and forehead and despite my best efforts to keep it looking flawless and non cakey. It just stopped working for me as well as it used to. The coverage is medium to full, which is exactly what I like. The glow gives a beautiful lit from within vibe which Im currently really digging. My only niggle is that it contains Shea butter which is a known breakout trigger for me but it’s not done anything so far.

New favourite foundation? Well, I guess so. I have to accept my favourite is long gone and this new thing has come in to take it’s place. I really do like it but there is just a little something holding me back from singing it’s praises from the roof tops.

With Royal Ascot 2015 now around the corner, many sporting and racing fans are getting excited at the prospect of being able to head to Berkshire and see the live racing at one of the world’s most famous racecourses. Attendees get to enjoy a vibrant and exciting atmosphere as well as the chance to have a flutter on the races as part of this unique and thrilling day.

However, it is not just sporting fans that are looking forward to heading to the Royal Ascot races but also fashion fanatics who are eager to see who’s wearing what at this year’s event. Royal Ascot is not only a centuries-old British institution but also something of a fashion extravaganza with men and women turning out in stunning outfits and hats. For many of those that head to Berkshire for Royal Ascot, the day is as much about enjoying the latest fashions as it is about watching the world class racing.

The more unusual fashions at Ascot

All sorts of fashions can be seen when you head to the Ascot Racecourse for the world famous racing. This includes not only the latest fashions and accessories, adorned by both men and women, but also some more unusual creations, which have really turned heads at this event as well as creating some controversy.

For example, at last year’s races the online bookies, Coral, teamed up with the talented designer Ben de Lisi in order to create something really unusual for the event. This was in the form of a dress that was created from two hundred Coral betting slips, resulting in a design and creation that captured the attention of attendees as well as the world media. The dress was modelled at the event by Kristina Rihanoff of Strictly Come Dancing fame and it created even more of a stir when Kristina was told she had to change because the dress was not in line with the Royal Ascot dress code.

Fashion fans will be able to feast their eyes on another creation from Coral and Ben de Lisi at this year’s races, as the designer has been brought on board again to create yet another fashion masterpiece. This time around, he has based his design on jockey’s silks and many will be eager to see what his creation looks like this year. Ben has stated that the design took around forty hours and that he used colour blocking in line with jockey’s silks in order to come up with the perfect outfit.

Beauty: Love Me Beauty June Box

Love Me Beauty June Box - Love Me Beauty*
I've been falling in love with Beauty Boxes lately. Since seeing Love Me Beauty online i've wanted to try out their beauty boxes. It's a new concept for beauty boxes. It works by credits, once you sign up to Love Me Beauty they ask you a series of questions to help personalise each box to you. Whether it's your skin type, what you're interested in receiving in the box to what hair type you have.

Once you've answered the questions you'll be lead to 'the boutique' how the boutique works is that each month you will get 6 credits to spend for your Love Me Beauty Box. You then pick whether you want a box for one month, 3 months, 6 months etc. I think it's a great concept and it makes each beauty box you have more personalised to you and you can try things you've wanted to try for ages as there's loads of choice in the boutique.

My first Love Me Beauty box arrived in the post and I couldn't wait to show you all the goodies which were inside. It also comes with a make-up bag and that's just made me love the beauty box even more as I always seem to never have enough make-up bags!

One thing I love about beauty boxes is that they're jammed packed full of sample sizes under 100ml (which makes them perfect for travel sized luggage!) I've heard a lot about Elemis products so I'm super excited to try this out.

The box came with another Elemis product which is this pro-collagen marine cream. I'm not quite the age to use anti ageing treatments but I will definitely give this a go so hopefully my skin will feel more radiant and healthy.

This product I'm really excited about is this pro-radiance illuminating flash balm. I'm struggling with my skin at the moment, it feels quite dull and dry and I am really into trying out new products to make it feel radiant and look glowy!

Here's another skin care product and I think this is great for travelling. I'm going to use this cream in the morning to make my skin feel better first thing in the morning!

I've never seen a product like this before and I'm excited to try this out. I do worry about developing wrinkles when I'm old and I think this is a great product for those of you who are paranoid about issues like frown lines and hopefully it will make you feel younger!

These Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polishes I'm so excited to try. I've read so many reviews about them online and I think the two colours which came in the box are such summery colours! I can't wait to wear this aqua shade on my holiday in 2 weeks. I think Nails Inc are slowly becoming my favourite nail polish brand. They really don't chip until about after 4 days and the colours are so well formulated and you don't have to cover your nails in layers and layers to create an opaque look.

If you want to purchase a Love Me Beauty Box I have a unique 20% off discount code for you all. All you have to do is type in 'becca20' at the checkout!

What do you think of beauty boxes? Are you going to get a Love Me Beauty box?

Beauty: The Perfect MAC Lipstick and Lip Liner Combination

    Chicory Lip Liner - Selfridges
I've been really into lip liners lately and trying to get the perfect lipstick to match. I recently picked up a lip liner and lipstick in Selfridges and I absolutely love how they look together! I've not seen this lipstick or lip liner being talked about online much so I thought I'd share this with you all!

    Chicory Lip Liner - Selfridges
I love the colour of Chicory Lip Liner. It's such a nice but not too dark shade which I think would go so well with so many nude lipsticks.

As you can see from the swatches on my hand the lipstick and lip liner are incredibly similar in colour and they work so well together!
What do you think of MAC lip liners and lipsticks? Which other lipstick combinations would you recommend?

Im a bit late on the waistcoat trend. Maybe because I've been clinging onto duster coats like there is no tomorrow but as it's warming up a little I've realised I have to just woman up and ditch them. I've had this Topshop one for goodness knows how long. I think I actually bought it last year which is shameful that I've not work it since! I find cream/white a tricky colour to wear for some reason but Im glad I decided to give it a go. A simple pairing of a high neck black dress, simple pouch bag with added pom pom detail and my trusty fedora.

I'm also wearing my Mui Mui Sunglasses which are my latest loves (although I love my new Tom Fords a lot too) there is just something about these ones that I cant get enough of. Im typically a black or white framed sunglasses lover but the tortoiseshell ones seem to go with pretty much everything I own.

    Top - River Island
Clutch Bag - Primark (Similar here)
    White Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Primark (Similar here and here)

It feels like ages since my last outfit post. I've been really loving blogging lately and at the moment I seem to be blogging everyday so keep an eye out for new posts pretty much daily! So onto the outfit... I bought this top a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. It's a simple but stylish sort of top you could easily wear during the day but also at night with a statement necklace and a pair of heels!

    Top - River Island
Clutch Bag - Primark (Similar here)
    White Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Primark (Similar here and here)
This is the sort of outfit I'd wear on a date night out with my boyfriend or to a fashion event. I'd wear this outfit with flat shoes during the day too. It's quite a simple outfit but you know when you stick to a monochrome palette you will always look stylish and chic.

Lifestyle: 10 Life Lessons We Learnt From Friends

Everyday I manage to watch Friends at some point (I blame you Comedy Central!) and it's my favourite tv show. You all seem to love my friends themed posts and so when I jotted down this post idea in my notebook I couldn't wait to make a post about it. You can see my previous Friends posts here and here. So here's 10 life lessons we learnt from Friends.

    1. It's okay to binge eat every once in a while

    2. Joey taught us to love our bodies no matter what size of shape we are. Your body is amazing no matter what your size or shape is.

    3. Dating your assistant at work is never a good idea.

    4. That if you like someone, you should tell them before they meet someone else.

    5. The real world sucks but you love it really.

    6. It's never a good idea to carry a sofa up flights of stairs.

    7. Waxing hurts.

    8. Sometimes all you need is a hug from your BFF.

    9. You shouldn't let other people make your decisions.

    10. You shouldn't care what other people think.

Hope you all enjoyed this post!

    Resting Bitch Face

    SHOP THE POST:

On a weekend jaunt to Brixton before a party I picked this ruched off the shoulder striped top from H&M. Sorry I cant link it in my shop the post but it's current stock so go check it out! If you've been keeping track of any of my recent hauls then you'll be well aware Im all about the off the shoulder cut at the moment. It's super flatting and just gives me a nice shape, especially as I have a pretty wide chest, it just seems to flatter it quite nicely. I even picked it up in blue and white stripe because Im that type of person to buy something in every colour if they see something they like!

I have no idea why I look so moody in all of these photos! Im sure Jon can confirm that I wasnt actually all that sulky when we did this shoot! Clearly just not having a brilliant time though! Oops, must work on my resting bitch face for sure. I just cant help it!

Fashion: The Pale Pink Duster Coat

    Top - Miss Selfridge
Duster Coat - Pretty Little Thing (sold out but similar here)
    Black Jeans - Topshop
Sandals - Primark (Similar here and here)
As the weather is constantly changing at the moment my outfits are very versatile. I love duster coats at the moment and they're great for layering over simple outfits. You can see some other outfit posts of how I wear duster coats here, here and here.

    Top - Miss Selfridge
Duster Coat - Pretty Little Thing (sold out but similar here)
    Black Jeans - Topshop
Sandals - Primark (Similar here and here)
I've teamed this pale pink duster coat with a simple striped tee from Miss Selfridge and my trusty black joni jeans from Topshop. The sandals go really well with this outfit (they were about £10 in Primark too) and they give the outfit a real summery feel.

    Top - Miss Selfridge
Duster Coat - Pretty Little Thing (sold out but similar here)
    Black Jeans - Topshop
Sandals - Primark (Similar here and here)
I absolutely love this outfit and how it goes together. I think the striped top goes so well with the duster coat. It's a great stylish (but casual) look which would go well for so many occasions whether it's a shopping day, date night or just a casual day!
What do you think of this outfit? How would you wear this duster coat?

Vagisil #EndEmbarrassment Campaign - Sponsored Video

I think this is an issue, which isn’t spoken about enough. Intimate health is something that affects all of us and there’s so many issues that people would rather not talk about.

Vagisil recently spoke to 2,000 British women about intimate health and the results were really surprising. It’s shocking how high the embarrassment levels we have about this issue but how important talking about intimate health is.

Nearly half of women (47%) are embarrassed to say the word ‘vagina’ if it came up in day-to-day conversation and nearly two in five women feel embarrassed if the word vagina was mentioned to them.

Nearly a third of women are too embarrassed to talk about intimate health to a GP. Whenever I’ve had any sort of issue over the years I always see a GP about it. I always go in thinking that they’re seen this a million times before, it’s their job to know what’s wrong and there’s nothing to feel embarrassed about.

Vagisil is on a mission to end the embarrassment that exists around intimate health. Apparently the older we get the more open we are to talk about intimate health, but for those of you who are still embarrassed at the thought of talking about intimate health here are some tips to overcome your embarrassment.

    - Take a deep breath and handle the problem straight on

    - Act confident and be brave

    - Be aware that you are not alone

    - Be open and honest

    - Remember that doctors have seen it all before

As an expert of intimate health, Vagisil’s range of daily care products are made to look at the health of your intimate area. Dr Adelaide Nardone, Gynaecologist and Womens health expert recommends using a ‘gentle wash, wearing cotton underwear helps to wick away moisture and showering promptly after exercise or activities that cause you to perspire and if you have a problem to go see a GP.’

You can check out the video for the campaign here:

What do you think when it comes to discussing intimate health?
