Look Fantastic February Beauty Box*
Following on the success of last months April favourites post, I’ve decided to put together a post about my beauty favourites from the month of May. There have been so many products I’ve loved using lately. This months favourites include products from Estee Lauder, Hourglass, Maybelline and Topshop beauty.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - Boots
This foundation is voted time and time again the UK number 1 foundation and I knew I had to give this a go when my current foundation ran out. All my life I’ve never been able to find a foundation, which has been perfect for my skin tone. With being mixed raced, I find it hard to find the ideal foundation on the high-street for my skin tone so from about 2 years ago I’ve tried using Bare Minerals, MAC, Urban Decay but nothing has really worked well for me.
It’s only in the past four weeks I’ve been using Estee Lauder double wear and I’ve never had so many compliments on my skin. I’ve even had people come up to me in public asking what foundation I use and that must mean it’s good right? This foundation has improved my confidence when wearing make-up too.
Estee Lauder Daywear Anti-Oxidant Creme - Boots
It’s hard to explain my love for this cream. I never thought I would find something, which helps my skin look flawless. Ever since using the Estee Lauder doublewear foundation, I’ve used this before hand as a moisturiser and a primer and it ensures that my skin looks flawless. I use this now every morning before my foundation and it works so well on my skin. This is only a sample size from when I bought my foundation and a liquid lipstick but you can buy the full size version here.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze - Boots
I am completely addicted to using cream eyeshadows at the moment. I am a really big fan of the traditional eyeshadow palette but there’s just something about cream eyeshadows that really appeals to me. If I was stuck on a deserted island and could only bring one eyeshadow with me I would chose this shade without a doubt. It’s so easy to use (and blend) and looks gorgeous on the eyes.
Topshop highlighter in Horizon - Topshop
Topshop beauty I feel is really underrated in the beauty blogging industry. I’ve never found a product from Topshop beauty I haven’t loved. Topshop have three highlighters and this one is in Horizon. They also have a lighter highlighter shade in Sunbeam. I love using this highlighter to add a hint of colour to my cheeks, but also to create a summery, dewy glow.
Everything Stick in Defiant - Topshop
Who doesn’t love an all in one product? Ever since the Topshop everything stick launched I was eager to try it out. I picked up the shade defiant and it’s a gorgeous dark toned nude shade and this works so well as a lipstick and a blusher. What I like about this product is it works really well as a lipstick; it’s really pigmented and easy to wear. I would say this works better as a blusher then an eyeshadow though but on the whole it is a great all-in-one product.
Estee Lauder liquid lipstick in 120 Extreme Nude - Boots
I’m having a bit of a moment for Estee Lauder right now. After trying out their foundation and being so impressed and the daywear cream, I decided to pick up a liquid lipstick. I am beyond impressed with this shade ‘extreme nude’ and it’s an essential in my travel make-up bag. I love the shade and it’s a great nude shade against my skin tone.
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas - John Lewis
I’ve never tried any hourglass products before but I’ve heard so much about the brand. This month’s Cohorted beauty box included an hourglass liquid lipstick and I got the shade Canvas and it suits my skin tone perfectly. What’s so great about this product is it really does stay on your lips all day. I apply this in the morning and it dries so quickly on your lips.
What do you think of this months beauty favourites? Have you tried of these products before?
This month’s Cohorted beauty box is my favourite box I’ve seen in a long time. What I like about the Cohorted beauty box is that the products inside are always on the higher end of the spectrum, there are products from brands I’ve never heard of before or products from brands I couldn’t wait to try.
I’ve been a long-time fan of the Cohorted beauty box and they are a beauty box that just keeps getting better and better. The brands in this months box include Hourglass, TheBalm, HJ Manicure and Jimmy Choo. I like the summer theme this box has going on and this palette from TheBalm is worth £37.50 just on it’s own.
theBalm Voyage Vol 2 Palette (Full size RRP £37.50)
I think when you look at this palette you’ll agree that this is a great all in one palette. This palette includes highlighter, blusher, bronzer, lip balm and eyeshadow. I’ve done a full review on this palette in the past (you can check it out here) and so due to having a duplicate I’ve created a giveaway for this palette over on Twitter so one of you lucky readers can win.
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas - RRP £23
This product in this months box completely stole the show for me. From reading so many beauty blogs about hourglass reviews and I was so excited to see this liquid lipstick in this months box. The shade canvas is a perfect pink colour (with a hint of brown) and it works so well against my skin tone. This dries so matte on your lips and literally lasts all day. I am really impressed with this liquid lipstick and will definitely be adding some of the other colours to my beauty wish list. I really love the packaging of this lipstick and it looks so sleek and high quality.
HJ Manicure Nail Polish - Full size RRP £9.50
If there’s anything I love doing when I need some TLC, it’s a good manicure. This is a very summery colour and it looks great against my skin tone. I’ve never heard of HJ Manicure is a cruelty free brand and vegan too.
Jimmy Choo EDP - Travel size 4.5ml worth £10
Who doesn’t love travel-sized perfumes? I love how easy they are to travel with, chuck in your make-up bag and just how nice they look. I really like the smell of this Jimmy Choo fragrance too. This perfume has notes of crisp green, ginger, tea, rose, tiger orchid and cedarwood. What’s great about this perfume is it’s great for both day and evening wear.
Overall I am really impressed with this box. I was disappointed as there were only 4 products, but they are a great selection of products. I love how this months box is summer themed with the palette from theBalm, and the bright nail polish. I love how this box has allowed me to try out Hourglass too as it’s normally a brand which is out of reach for me and I’ve discovered a product I love.
If you’re looking for a beauty box on the higher-end of the spectrum, this is the box for you.
You can subscribe to the Cohorted beauty box here.
(This post contains press samples but as usual all opinions are my own)*
Real Techniques Cheek and Lip Set 2.0 - Superdrug
Real Techniques are known for being the budget friendly, high street make-up brushes made by YouTube make-up artists, Pixiwoo. Real Techniques bring out new brush sets every few months (or maybe a little longer) and I have never been left disappointed with any Real Techniques purchases I’ve made. I spied these brushes in Superdrug for about £11/£12 on offer and I knew I had to pick them up. This cheek and lip set is in the new Real Technique colours (hot pink) and its also limited edition, which makes it even more worth picking up.
The cheek brush is exclusive to this set and it’s definitely a reason to snap this set up ASAP. What Real Techniques do well is larger brushes. I couldn’t cope without my buffing brush or multi-task brush in my daily make-up routine now.
The bristles are quite dense to this brush so if you’re a big blusher/bronzer fan this brush is for you. This brush can also be used with creams, gels and powders so it’s not limited to just using this brush as a blusher brush.
The duo fibre contour brush is my favourite of the three brushes as compared the original contour brush, this one has less dense bristles. This brush works well with both cream and powder products. I like using this brush with bronzer to add a bit of colour to my face without a heavy application.
The lip brush is probably the brush I’ll use the least. It’s quite dainty and a delicate, which allows for extreme precision.
Have you tried this set from Real Techniques? What are you favourite Real Techniques brushes?
Vitamin E Overnight Serum - £15
Vitamin E Night Cream - £13
Camomile Sumptuous Cleanser - £13
Pinita Colada Body Butter - £14 (mine is a sample size version)
A couple of weeks ago, my local body shop store held an event for local bloggers and it was a really good event and a chance to try out the products. I have heard so many good things about skincare products from the body shop but never really given many of the products a go. After a couple of hours at the event I came out with a little haul of products, which I picked up and I’m definitely a body shop convert! (Especially because of the skincare)
Vitamin E Overnight Serum - £15
When I feel really stressed my skin gets so dry and lacks moisture. I think this past year (especially with being in my third year at university) has really tired my skin out. I’ve felt like I need to really look after my skin, give it some TLC and make sure I’m really looking after myself. This serum I’ve been using for a couple of weeks and I use it on the days when I really need it, which is about twice a week. I use this after cleansing at night and just before I use my moisturiser.
Vitamin E Night Cream - £13
Never underestimate the power of a night cream. This night cream protects, replenishes and helps to prevent the loss of moisture overnight (this is when your skin is most receptive) this is a really good cream when I’ve used it and in the morning me skin feels so much more hydrated. This night cream is suitable for all skin types and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy.
Camomile Sumptuous Cleanser - £13
This cleanser when you use it is like putting butter on your face. It’s so soft and gentle and really does remove all traces of makeup. It really helps get rid of all traces of mascara (even waterproof). I tend to use my Liz Earle cleanser 90% of the time and when I have heavier makeup on, this is my go to cleanser.
Pinita Colada Body Butter - £14 (mine is a sample size version)
While I was at the event, I was given a goody bag with a couple of samples of products inside and it included this sample of the new pina colada body butter. I smelt this at the event and it smelled amazing. It smells like a holiday packaged up! It leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated. I’m saving the rest of this sample for when I’m on holiday in a couple of weeks as my skin gets super dry when I’m away and it’s sunny.
Have you tried any of these products before? What are your favourite products from the body shop?
I’m a big fan of a beauty bargain. Sometimes I don’t think there is anything nicer then finding a hero beauty product and it doesn’t break the bank. I haven’t done a post like this before so I thought I would put together my top 10 make-up products I own which are under £10.
Essie Nail Polish in Fiji - £7.99
Essie nail polishes are some of my favourite nail polishes and they apply so nicely on your nails. I really like pale colours for summer (for when I get a tan) and this shade from Essie is gorgeous. It’s called Fiji and it’s a stunning pale pink shade. It doesn’t break the bank either as its only £7.99. Boots also have an offer on at the moment where if you pick up one Essie nail polish you get a free mini nail polish, which is perfect for travelling.
L'Oreal Perfection Brow Artist Plumper - £5.99
I’ve been searching for the perfect brow product for a long time now. I am a really big fan of the Benefit gimme brow but it’s expensive at £17.50 a time. I am really surprised I haven’t tried the brow artist plumper sooner as it’s amazing. It’s only £5.99 and it’s going to be a product I’ll repurchase over and over.
NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm - £6.50
Who isn’t a fan of NYX lip products? Since arriving to the UK late last year NYX have slowly taken over. I picked this up about six months ago when I went to Manchester and visited the NYX counter there. I absolutely love this shade it’s really easy to wear, dries well on the lips and it is really pigmented. I have my eye on the shade soft spoken too, which is a gorgeous nude/pink shade.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and One Bronze - £4.99
If I was stuck on a dessert island and I could only pick one eye shadow to wear, I would choose this shade without a doubt. What’s great about the colour tattoo in on an on bronze is that it suits all skin tones; it is really pigmented and so easy to apply. I absolutely love wearing this and its great for when you’re in a rush and don’t have much time to do your make-up.
So Eco Bronzer Brush - Makeupbrushes*
This brush ranges in price depending on where you pick it up. I’ve seen this in TK maxx for £9.99 but its RRP is £12. If you haven’t heard of So Eco before you’re missing out. I have a few of these brushes and they are so soft, easy to use (and clean) and this is my favourite brush by So Eco. It is so good for applying bronzer but it’s also good for applying powder.
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Cappuccino - £2.99
I’ve been through about 2 or 3 of these lip liners alone in 2016. This is my go to lip liner if I want to create a nude lip. It’s quite a dark brown shade and it works really well with my skin tone. It’s an absolute steal at £2.99 but it’s regularly sold out in Boots/Superdrug when I’ve been in to pick up a new one.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Frambroise - £8.99
I’ve never really tried out any Bourjois products before this but now I am a big fan of the rouge edition velvets. I have only this colour, but I can’t wait to expand my collection. I really like this shade and it’s very pigmented when applied onto the lips. What I really like about this lip product is it has so serious staying power. It stays on your lips for so long (no matter if you’re eating dinner!)
Technic Lashitude Mascara - £1.65
Technic is a very affordable make-up brand and this mascara is an absolute steal at £1.65. I have been using this mascara a couple of weeks now and it gives my lashes so much volume.
Technic Colour FX cream foundation/contour palette - £2.99
Another product from Technic is this foundation/contour palette. I am really enjoying using cream products at the moment. I find them so easy to use, so easy to blend and this palette has such a great variety of shades.
Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder - £1.50
A highlighter for £1.50? You heard it right. I am really impressed with this highlighter from Technic and its very pigmented. It’s really easy to use and works so well in my daily make-up routine.
What are your top 10 products under £10? Have you tried out any of these products?
Glossybox 'Glossy Getaway' Box*
If there's one time of the month where I get really excited it's when a beauty box arrives on my doorstep. This month Glossybox has really upped it's game to be a real contender on the beauty box market. I love how Glossybox only features affordable brands which makes this box even more exciting when you discover something new. This months box is dedicated to city breaks and their are four collectable boxes, London, Paris, New York and Berlin.
I'm really impressed with the variety of the selection of products this month and may I mention the yummy popcorn?! I ate the popcorn right after taking these photos and I can report it was delicious!
This months box incudes two full-sized make-up products as well as a moisturiser, cleanser and dry oil.
Propercorn Lightly Salted Popcorn (available at all supermarkets)
This is the first time I've ever seen a snack inside a Glossybox and I hope it's not the last. I love popcorn as it's reasonably healthy, yummy and a great pick me up snack for between lunch and dinner.
Bee Good Youth Enhancing Plump and Firm Moisturiser - 15ml full size RRP £23.50
I have never heard of the brand Bee Good and this probably won't be the last time I'll own a product from them as I have used this moisturiser a couple of times on dry patches of skin and it's worked really well. This moisturiser is suitable for all skin types including mature and ageing skin. This moisturiser works to plump, smooth and soften your complexion leaving it dewy and glowing. What's great about this is that all you need is a pea-sized amount to your face after cleansing.
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser - Travel size (full size £8)
Can you ever own too many travel sized cleansers? This Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is soap free and is loved by celebrities including Alexa Chung and Olivia Wilde. This product, similarly to the Bee Good Moisturiser is suitable for all skin types. Cetaphil soothes and nourishes the skin as it removes all your make-up. It's best using this morning and evening and rinsing with water.
Hawaiian Tropic Protective Dry Oil - RRP £5.99
Now it's may (well coming up to June now) I hope I'll be seeing a few more tanning products inside my beauty box subscriptions. Hawaiian Tropic is a really popular brand for sunscreen and this dry oil has a unique fragrance of exotic flora, fruit and natural ingredients including papaya and mango.
This dry oil helps pro-long that sun kissed glow and this dry oil is also water resistant so it's perfect for protecting your skin for those pool days.
Absolute New York Velvet Lippie - RRP £4.93
Liquid lipsticks are so popular right now and so I was excited when I heard there was a liquid lipstick in this months box. However, I am a little disappointed with this colour of the lipstick. I would have definitely preferred a nude/brown/red or even a dark pink.
Revlon Mascara - Full size £9.99
This mascara is no doubt my favourite product in this months box. I am someone who is normally quite fussy with mascaras as when I find one which I like I never really change from it. Revlon recently came out with five different types of mascaras and so I was so excited to try one! This mascara is the ultra volume mascara and it helps maximise and plump each lash.
Overall I think this is a really good box and well worth the subscription fee. I've found that Glossybox have really been upping their game and I absolutely love the themed boxes they keep coming out with. My favourite product in this months box is definitely the mascara and I'm really impressed with it. I love how there is a liquid lipstick in this months box but I am a little disappointed in the colour I received. I think this is a really good box for those of you who want a pick me up or if you have any holidays coming up!
You can sign up to Glossybox here for £10 a month + (P&P)
What do you think of Glossybox? Have you tried out any of these products?
I'll have to admit, I have only really tried Caudalie products in the past 6 months thanks to my beauty box subscriptions. I have become fixated on skincare this past year and I really believe it's worth investing a few extra pennies for when you discover that perfect skincare product. I am so grateful that with running my blog I get to try out some great products and for the past week I have been only using these four Caudalie products and I'm seriously impressed.
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet - £23
This I featured in a recent review of this months Birchbox and I am so happy that I have a mini and a full size version as the mini will be perfect for my summer holiday to Greece in a couple of weeks time. I have been using this constantly since I received my Birchbox and I am so impressed with this product. I use this morning and evening instead of moisturiser. Firstly what attracts me to this moisturising sorbet is the smell, it's so much nicer using a product when it smells absolutely divine.
This leaves my skin feeling so soothed and hydrated and what's great about this product is it's great for every skin type. Sometimes in the morning I use this as a primer too and it's worked as a really good base for my make-up.
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum - £29
This product is only a mini version but sometimes that's the size you need. I have been using this for when my skin feels a little dry and dehydrated and it needs that extra moisturising boost. You can use this morning and evening and I use this before I use the moisturising sorbet. This is quite a thick serum which I like as it sinks right into your skin. This has become an ideal addition to my everyday skincare routine and an essential for when my skin needs some extra TLC.
Caudalie Organic Grape Water - £6
This grape water is limited edition and an absolute steal at only £6. If you're looking for a product that leaves your skin feeling refreshed, revitalised and smelling lovely at the same time this is the product for you. I love using this as an extra boost before I go to sleep at night and I wake up with soothed, hydrated and moisturised skin. What's great about this is it can be used any time of the day for when you feel your skin needs a refresh. I'll be taking this on holiday for when I'm wearing minimal make-up and want my skin to remain moisturised and fresh.
Caudalie Glycolic Peel Facial Mask - £22
I only have a travel sized version of this (my version is 15ml) but the full version isn't too expensive at £22 for 75ml. If you're a fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic you'll need to add this glycolic peel face mask to your wish list. I've used this twice and I'm really impressed with the results. The only way to describe the way this mask works on my skin is like using the pixi glow tonic as a mask.
What's so good about this mask is it's great for all skin types. I like using this when my skin feels a little bit more dry or when I have a break out. I've read so many reviews about this before using this and it lives up to the hype that surrounds the product. I'll definitely be purchasing the full size version when this one runs out.
Caudalie have an offer online where you'll receive a free vinosource gift including the make-up bag (as pictured in this post) and the same size vinosource serum I have and a travel sized version of the sorbet with every £35 spend. It's an absolute steal if you ask me!
Have you tried out any of these products? Have you tried out any other products from Caudalie?
(This post contains press samples but all thoughts views & opinions are my own*)
Liz Earle skincare products have completely changed my skincare routine for me. You may have noticed my love of Liz Earle skincare on my blog over the past 9/10 months. I use Liz Earle products everyday and you can read about my everyday skincare routine here. What I like about Liz Earle is that the products are really gentle on your skin. I couldn't imagine not using the cleanse and polish in my everyday routine.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - Boots
The cleanse and polish is where the love affair with Liz Earle began. It's the product that helps me remove all make-up from my face and leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. You squeeze about a 10p sized pump of this all over your face and soak the cloth in warm water and just wipe it off.
I follow up using the cleanse and polish by using the skin tonic.
Liz Earle Skin Tonic - Boots
I use the skin tonic after I've used the cleanse and polish. I dab a small amount of this onto a cotton pad and wipe my face. After using the skin tonic my skin feels refreshed and hydrated. I think this is a great product to use before you moisturise your skin before you go to sleep at night.
Liz Earle Normal/Combination Moisturiser - Boots
What's so great about this moisturiser is a little goes a long way. You really don't need a large amount of this to cover your face and this moisturiser sinks right into my skin and leaves it feeling moisturised and hydrated.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish in Pink Pepper & Mint
This was an offer I picked up on the Liz Earle site as I am running low on my cleanse and polish. I picked up the pink pepper and mint cleanse and polish and it smells INSANE. I am a little bit obsessed with the packaging too. This bottle is 150ml (the normal size is 100ml) so this bottle will last me a little longer too.
Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator
I've only discovered in the past few months how important exfoliating is for your skin. I tend to use this between 2 and 3 times a week (depending on how my skin is) and I use this after my cleanse and polish but before I moisturise my skin. This exfoliator is so gentle on your skin but the beads inside really sink in and leave your skin feeling fresh.
Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask
This is the newest edition to my Liz Earle collection and I've used this a couple of times already (even though it's a travel sized version) and it works so well on my skin when it's feeling dull, tired and a little bit dry. I am really impressed with this and will be picking up the full size version.
Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask
This mask works like a dream on my skin. When I feel like my skin needs some TLC or I'm having a bit of a pamper evening, I reach for this mask. I use this after my cleanse and polish and apply the mask to my skin for about 2-3 minutes. I wash off this mask using a cloth and then finish my skincare routine with my skin tonic and moisturiser.
What do you think of Liz Earle? Have you tried any of these products?
For product variety this is one of my favourite beauty boxes I've ever received and Birchbox have really hit the nail on the head when it comes to making (in my opinion) the dream beauty box. Birchbox is always a box I'm impressed with as they come in those cute tie bags (which are great for travelling or just to live at your boyfriends house to keep your products safe) and the boxes are always absolutely gorgeous and no pattern each month is the same.
Spectrum Collections Sponge - £4.99
Spectrum Collections is one favourite brands and I'm always so excited when I discover a new release from them. I'm a really big fan of the beauty blender and when I saw that in this months Birchbox was a Spectrum Collections sponge I couldn't wait to try it out. So far I am impressed with this and it helps blend in my concealer and foundation so well.
Rituals Tao Wai Wang Mild Exfoliating Body Scrub - 70ml travel size (full size £19.50)
Rituals is a brand I'm loving right now. I had a body lotion from them, I am not sure of the name but it made my skin feel so soft for days afterwards. I think Rituals products always smell amazing and the more Rituals products in my life the better right?
theBalm Stainiac in Beauty Queen - Sample size 1.2ml full size RRP £10
Whenever there is a product from theBalm in a Birchbox it's an exciting time. Stainiac is a gel-based cheek and lip stain which has that subtle hint of colour. This feels really soft on the skin and dries really quickly too. I think for me this is better as a cheek product as I am not the biggest fan of lip stains, but if you're a big fan of lip stains this is the perfect product for you.
Vita Coco Coconut Oil - Sample size
You can use coconut oil for literally ANYTHING (like literally). I mainly use this for cooking but I have another tub of coconut oil for when I use this as a hair mask or eye make up remover. I used to hate the smell of coconut but from cooking with coconut oil all the time I've begun to love it. If you're a fan of multi-use products you need to give coconut oil a try.
Philip Kingsley PK Polishing Balm - Sample size 20ml
First of all I've just spotted this mini set of Philip Kingsley products for £6! Which is a total bargain. I'm yet to try any products from Philip Kingsley but I have never read a bad review on a Philip Kingsley product. I am really looking forward to using this as frizz-fighting balm works to condition, style and protect your hair.
Caudalie Moisturising Sorbet - Sample size 10ml (RRP £23)
This was the product that really caught my eye this month. I've tried a few Caudalie products before thanks to beauty boxes and when I heard about this launch I new I had to try it. This sorbet is great for all skin types and helps to leave your skin feeling super soft. The 'white grape' scent isn't very overpowering either which I really like. I'll be carrying on using this to keep my skin looking moisturised, hydrated and feeling glowy.
You can sign up to Birchbox here for £10 & £2.95 p&p.

I've noticed that a lot of bloggers are posting about their monthly 'favourites' just like youtubers and I noticed it wasn't something I do myself on my blog, despite having loads of favourites each month. This is now going to be a regular feature as who doesn't love writing about the products they've been loving ALL month?
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in Natural - Look Fantastic
This product has sadly come to an end now! I have been using this for about 3/4 months and it's a tinted moisturiser. I never thought I would find a product which is so hydrating and that it glides so well on the skin. I love using this with either my beauty blender (you can pick one up on eBay super cheap here) which is how I got my beauty blender or I apply the complexion rescue with a buffing brush. I've moved onto the Estee Lauder double wear now and so I'll be reporting back on that next month.
Pink Beauty Blender - Ebay
I was a huge fan of the Real Techniques sponge and I used that for probably about a year before moving on to the beauty blender. I picked mine up through Ebay and I only paid about £5-6 which is saving £10 compared the price of them in Boots, online at BeautyBay/Cultbeauty etc. I use this damp to blend in my concealer and this works a total treat.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Neutral - Feel Unique
This concealer is basically my perfect concealer and it makes me sad how I'm on the last few uses of this. If you're looking for a high coverage concealer with actual staying power, this is the one for you. I suffer from dark circles underneath my eyes and this covers them right up and it's a product I will always repurchase. I would definitely recommend heading to your nearest Urban Decay make-up counter and getting matched up though as this is £17.50 a time!
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden - Feel Unique
This eyeshadow primer is like heaven in a small sized bottle. I have tried out numerous eyeshadow primers and they have not come close to this. I use the shade Eden which works well on my eyelids. This could also work as an eyeshadow by itself too. If you're looking for the perfect eyeshadow primer which isn't too expensive it's worth splashing out on this. What I love about the primer potion is a little goes a LONG way when you're using this.
NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray - Boots
If you're looking for a setting spray on a budget (that leaves you looking glowy) this is your go-to. It's only about £7 too which makes it a total bargain. I find this so easy to use and I use this just before I put my mascara on. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and set my make-up really well. I will always love using the Urban Decay setting spray but this one is my back-up.
NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft Spoken - Boots
This product has been my 'go-to' lip product this month and it's such a nice colour. I really like using this over a nude lip liner or I blot this with a little bit of tissue paper. I think this is a bargain at about £6 a lipstick and who doesn't love a cream/liquid lipstick? The next on my NYX wish list is the shade soft spoken and you can check out all the other colours available here.
Benefit Gimme Brow in Dark Brown - Look Fantastic
This is probably the best Benefit product I've ever used. If you have thick dark eyebrows and you just want a product to sort them out in about 10 seconds this is your dream product. I think I'll be using this not too often (as it's on the pricier side) but when I go away this summer this will 100% be in my travel make-up bag as it's the perfect size.
Nail Apothecary Gel Effect Top Coat by Elegant Touch - Boots
I'm a massive fan of this top coat as it actually works on my nails. I've tried so many top coats and these haven't work too well on my nails as they normally chip within a couple of days but this top coat helps them last about a week and it's only about £7 in Boots.
What have been your favourites this month? Have you tried out any of these products?
Paisley Print Bomber Jacket - Pretty Little Thing
Green Jungle Print Jumpsuit - Pretty Little Thing
Denim Cami Top - New Look
Charli XCX Scallop Hem Kimono - Boohoo
Charli XCX Snake Print Maxi Dress - Boohoo
Pale Blue Culottes - Pretty Little Thing
The sun is out and fashion has definitely got a lot more interesting again. I just find the first few months of the year pretty glum as all I want to do is wear jumpers and jeans. I've been looking at my favourite online and high-street stores a lot in the past few days so I thought I'd put together a wish list! First up it's this gorgeous bomber jacket from Pretty Little Thing and it's a total steal at only £30. I think the print is so nice and it would look great with ripped black jeans, trainers and a white tee for a casual look.
If there's one thing I love about summer it's jumpsuits. You may have seen my striped jumpsuit (which I love) in this blog post. I think a jumpsuit like this would look so nice with a black bomber jacket, a statement necklace and sunnies for a casual summers day.
The new collection from Charli XCX for Boohoo launched this week and their are so many gorgeous pieces. What I love about this collection is that it's so affordable. My favourite picks are this lace kimono and this snake print dress.
What do you think of this weeks wish list? What are you loving on the high-street at the moment?
Rayban Sunglasses - ASOS
Black Velvet Choker - ASOS
Faux Suede Jacket - New Look
Striped Off The Shoulder Top - Mango
Black Maxi Skirt - Primark (similar here)
Sandals - Primark (similar here)
I think this post may be the start of loving fashion and fashion blogging again. In the midst of completing my third year of university (2 weeks to go!) I lost my fashion blogging love, my passion to really make an effort with every outfit I wore and I lived in striped tops, jumpers, jeans and Nike trainers. This week in the UK it's been SO sunny and I've found myself loving fashion again. I recently picked up this choker from ASOS and it was only about £5. Chokers are so 'in' at the moment and they look great with absolutely any outfit.
Rayban Sunglasses - ASOS
Black Velvet Choker - ASOS
Faux Suede Jacket - New Look
Striped Off The Shoulder Top - Mango
Black Maxi Skirt - Primark (similar here)
Sandals - Primark (similar here)
I teamed the choker up with this bargain top I picked up in Mango (It's only £6.99!) and it is the perfect top to get you through all spring and summer. I think this top looks great with a pair of high-waisted jeans, tailored trousers and with a maxi skirt. This maxi skirt was a bargain at about £5 (but that's Primark for you) but I've found a similar one here.
Rayban Sunglasses - ASOS
Black Velvet Choker - ASOS
Faux Suede Jacket - New Look
Striped Off The Shoulder Top - Mango
Black Maxi Skirt - Primark (similar here)
Sandals - Primark (similar here)
This is the sort of outfit I'd wear on a casual day, or when I'm away on holiday trying to be more 'casual cool' (obviously I wouldn't wear the jacket if I was on holiday!) I think this outfit looks quite effortless but still stylish. My favourite item in my wardrobe right now is this jacket and it was a steal at only about £30 and with 20% student discount too. I find it goes so well with a cami top and jeans for a casual look, striped tops for a casual look and you can team it over any outfit for a night out.
I really like this outfit and I am sure I'll be getting a lot more use of this outfit over the coming months. It's summery but with not loads of flesh on show. I wore this today (well yesterday when you're reading this) and just had to take photos of my outfit as I really liked it.
What's great about this outfit is it's so affordable the sandals were about £5, as was the skirt. The top was £7 and my jacket was under £30! doesn't get much better then that does it?!
What do you think about this outfit? What have you been wearing lately?
If there's anything I've been become obsessed with in the past few months it's skincare. I LOVE trying out new products and it definitely doesn't help that i'm a beauty box junkie so I am always trying out new products. I haven't quite found my perfect skincare routine but I am getting pretty close. I thought I'd put this post together to show you all 10 ways I try and get better skin.
1. Cleanse - Removing make-up and dirt from your face is essential. I used to swear by make-up wipes and then by micellar wipes but now I have a full cleansing routine. I still use micellar water (I'd recommend either the Simple micellar water or Garnier micellar water) and then I finish off my cleansing routine with the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I find that the Liz Earle cleanse and polish really helps remove all traces of make-up on my skin and leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and hydrated.
2. Tone - I don't do this often but if I've worn a lot of make-up I'll make sure I use a toner on my face and I'd 100% recommend Pixi glow tonic. If you love your skincare this is a great product for you as it really leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh. The glow tonic helps even out skintone for a brighter, clearer, complexion and gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells.
3. Exfoliate - I only started exfoliating just before christmas (bad I know) but I just thought with your skincare routine you needed to remove your make-up and moisturise. I discovered the Liz Earle gentle face exfoliator which I use about twice a week now on my skin. If you're someone who is spot prone i'd recommend doing this everyday to keep your skin fresh. This really helps rejuvenate my skin and keep it looking lively.
4. Moisturise - I can't stress how important moisturising is for your skin. Moisturising leaves your skin feeling more comfortable and supple and look brighter. I think if you've got oily skin I would stay away from moisturising too often though! I personally have normal/dry skin and I find moisturising everyday helps my skin feel more alive and my make-up will apply a lot better once I've moisturised my face. Also, when you wake up in the morning your skin will feel plump and smooth too. I use either the Medik8 Skin Balancing Mattifying Moisturiser (this stuff smells like starbursts) or the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser and both these moisturisers leave my skin feeling rejuvenated, more plump and smooth.
5. Face Masks - I think I'm having a little bit of an unhealthy addiction to using face masks at the moment! I love using about two (sometimes three!) a week. I think it's due to being in my final year at university all I want to do is pamper myself when I'm feeling stressed. I really love using the Liz Earle brightening treatment mask for a quick fix (as this only takes 2 minutes) to give my skin that extra little boost. If I want to do a 10 minute face mask though, one of my favourite mask to use is the Medik8 pore refining mask which helps refine my pores and leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and soft.
What I like about this Medik8 pore refining mask is you can use it as often as you like as it's so gentle on your skin. I also love using the Sanctuary Spa 5 minute thermal detox mask (which is a total steal at £10) from Boots. This mask is great for all skin types and I really like using this when I've had a super long day and my skin needs some TLC. You have to wet your face first then apply the face mask and it heats up your face (weird but seriously good!) it leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed and looking really bright.
6. Serum - I learnt from one of my best friends Annoush how important using serums on your face are and there's only one serum I use at the moment and it's the Medik8 Advanced Night Serum. It feels so strange adding oil to your face but it really works. I use this twice a week at the moment and then after a couple of weeks it suggests using it every other day, then everyday. I am still in the using it twice a week phase and I'm impressed with this so far. It leaves my skin feeling oily but when I wake up in the morning after using it, my skin feels great. This serum helps improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots, creating more youthful appearing skin.

Marbleous Brush Set - Spectrum Collections
Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liners in 305 and 315 - Kiko
Smart Lipstick in 925 Hazelnut - Kiko
What's not to love about Kiko? It's affordable, great quality and they have their own stand-alone stores in so many cities in the UK. I recently was in Kiko in Leeds and it's hard to walk past such a pretty store full of affordable make-up and not purchase anything. After months of reading about the creamy long lasting lip liners I picked them up in shades 305 and 315.
Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liners in 305 and 315 - Kiko
Smart Lipstick in 925 Hazelnut - Kiko
(Top - Bottom Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liner in 315, Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liner in 303 and Smart Lipstick in 925 Hazelnut)
As you can see each lip product is incredibly pigmented and nothing shown in this mini haul is over £6 (bargain right?!) I think 315 is a great lip liner and an alternative to Soar by MAC but can be worn all over the lips for a toned down nude look.
303 is a great red toned lip liner (with a hint of brown) I think this lip liner works so well with Ruby Woo or Lady Danger by MAC. I think it's great to wear this all over the lips to easily take your look from day to night.
Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liners in 305 and 315 - Kiko
Smart Lipstick in 925 Hazelnut - Kiko
Lastly, the biggest bargain from the haul is the smart lipstick in 925 Hazelnut which is a total steal at £3.90. The smart lipsticks come in 36 colours. I think these lipsticks are AMAZING for the price and incredibly moisturising. I think if you live near a Kiko store you'll need to pick these all up as all three are great products.
You can also get free shipping currently online with the code 'OHYESFREE'
Have you shopped online at Kiko before? Have you tried any Kiko products?
Who doesn't love a make-up haul? I seemed to have added up some Boots & Superdrug points and with the 3 for 2 offers on when better to buy a few new products to add into my make-up routine.
Rimmel Kate Moss Contour Kit #003 - Boots
When I first heard about this palette is was so excited as who doesn't love a three in one product? Rimmel have always done make-up so well and this palette doesn't disappoint. It comes in two shades #002 and #003 the palette I picked up was #003 which I felt was more suited to my skin tone. This palette is great for contouring, highlighting and adding blusher and all the shades work well together. I love using a Real Techniques contour brush for contour, Real Techniques Setting Brush for highlight and the Real Techniques fan brush for blusher. You can buy the brushes I use here, here and here.
Sleek 'All Night Long' Palette - Boots
This is one of the best beauty purchases I've made in a long time. I've used this palette everyday since picking this up a couple of weeks ago. The photo above is just some of my favourite swatches from the palette, as you can see it's really pigmented and the colours are stunning.
L'oreal Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette in Medium/Dark - Boots
I'm still only on my first couple of uses with the palette and I have to say I enjoy the contour side more that the highlight side to contour my face. I think cream products are a massive must-have on the high street right now so you'll be seeing a lot more products like this on the high street.
L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper - Boots
I've heard so much about this product from L'oreal and I'm so glad I bit the bullet and picked this up. My favourite brow product to use is the Benefit Gimme Brow (which I absolutely love) but at £18.50 a time it's very expensive. This product from L'oreal does pretty much the same job and it costs a fraction of the price at only £5.99.
L'oreal True Match Concealer - Boots
I have never tried any concealers from L'oreal and I have to say I'm not that impressed with this one. It's great for covering spots, just not for the under eye area.
Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting Palette - Superdrug
Sleek does it again, it's not just eyeshadow palettes they get SO right it's highlighting palettes too. This palette is a perfect highlighting palette for those of you with olive/tanned skin tones. I love the champagne shades and they work so well as a brow bone highlight.
Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Setting Spray - Boots
Setting sprays have only really just launched onto the high-street drugstore scene. There's setting sprays by Make-up Revolution, L'oreal and NYX and now one from Maybelline. I am a massive fan of the Urban Decay setting spray and that stuff works like a dream, but at £21 a time to replace it it's time to look for a drugstore alternative. So far this works reasonably well for about 8 hours but once I've got in from my busy day my eyeshadow is creased which has never happened with the Urban Decay setting spray. I really like this product though and I think it's great for if you don't want to use an expensive product (such as the Urban Decay version) everyday.
Have you tried any of these products? Do you have any drugstore recommendations?
Look Fantastic Beauty Box*
It's that time of the month again when Look Fantastic releases another beauty box and over the past few months these boxes have been so colourful and have always arrived with a copy of Elle magazine too (win) all for just £15. This months box includes products from Ren, The Wet Brush, Ioma, Uniq One, Vichy and Decleor.
Marbleous 12 Piece Set - Spectrum Collections
I've been a subscriber to this box for over a year now and the products and the appearance of the box each month just gets better and better and they really challenge the other beauty boxes in the beauty box market by bringing something new and also by giving you a copy of Elle magazine with your monthly box!
Eve Lom Cleanser - Sample size
I've tried this cleanser from beauty boxes numerous times now and I really like it. I've never bought the full size though (as I am still obsessed with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish) and the full size is VERY costly at £55. I think this is a great way to try the product before hand and if you're someone who invests a lot in skincare this product is for you.
Classic Wet Brush in Orange
This brush is raved about by pretty much every beauty blog I read and every beauty youtuber I like to watch. I received one of these about a year ago and it's the only hairbrush I use once I've come out the shower. It's soft, doesn't damage your hair and is gentle what else do you need? I will be passing this one on to my mum though as I already have 2 of these myself!
Ren Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial
This is a product I've never tried (or remember trying before) but I've heard all good things about Ren. Me and one of my best friends were recently in Space NK (having a browse) and came across this and it smelt amazing. It's recently been mentioned in a Vivianna Does Make-up video too. I'll be trying this out with my skincare routine tonight and I'll report back.
Decleor Intense Nutrition Cream
I've never tried any products from Decleor before but after having a look on the Look Fantastic site it's quite an up-market brand. If there's any skin product I'm looking for at the moment it's one which restores radiance and hydrates and nourishes your skin. I will report back on this one after trying it a few times!
Ioma Optimum Moisture Cream
I think this product is great as you get a 7 day supply of individually packaged samples for you to put to the test (and this is great for if you do a lot of travelling too). This day & night cream is enriched with PA Reviviscience which strenghtens the skins natural barrier against environmental aggressors and Osmhydran which helps lock in the skins moisture. This is ideal for dull/dry/dehydrated skin.
Uniq One All In One Hair Treatment
I've never seen this product before and I was delighted to see this in this months box. This hair treatment has 10 benefits that give you gorgeously healthy, shiny and protected hair. I think hair treatments are so important, especially if you use hair straighteners so regularly like myself as it helps restore that damage you've done to your hair.
Vichy Liftactiv Supreme
This was the product in this months box I was most excited about. I've never tried Vichy before and so seeing this in this months box (for my skin type too) I am really looking forward to trying this. This cream claims to tone the skin, even out your skin tone and targets signs of fine lines and wrinkles.
Overall, as usual I'm impressed with this months box. I really love the wet brush and I was so excited to see a Vichy product in the box. I think what's great about this box is you get a real variety of products but as usual I'd love to see a couple (or maybe just one) make-up item in this box!
I think it's well worth subscribing too if you're a beauty addict (like myself) and it's a bonus to get a copy of Elle magazine too so you can chill out in the evening (after trying the Ren facial product) and have a read.
You can sign up to the Look Fantastic beauty box here from just £11.25 a month including P&P!
So you want a new highlighter? Highlighter are EVERYWHERE right now in Boots and Superdrug (and online) and I've managed to build up a bit of a stash. I thought I'd gather all my highlighters together and write a nice long highlighter guide for you all, especially if you're struggling to figure out what highlighter to buy.
TheBalm Mary Lou Manizer - Feel Unique
This highlighter is just THE BOMB.COM likely seriously amazing. I didn't think It was possible to love a make-up product so much (you can see because I've hit pan) and if you're looking for a creamy highlighter this is the one for you. I apply this using a setting brush by Real Techniques or a fan brush by Spectrum. I wear this highlighter most days and it's perfect for when you're going on a night out. If I was to give this a rating out of 5, It would get 5.
Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Streak - Feel Unique
This is probably my least favourite highlighter of the bunch and that's because I don't think it works best to my skin tone. It's not as pigmented and easy to apply as theBalm Mary Lou Manizer which doesn't make me reach for this palette. I think this palette would work best on pale skin tones so this highlighter only gets a 2/5 from me!
Rimmel London Sculpting Palette by Kate in #003 - Boots
This is the most affordable highlighter of the bunch as it's only £6.99. It comes with a contour and a blusher shade which means you're getting even more value for money (yay!) and I'm obsessed with it. This highlighter is quite powdery but it's still pigmented which I like and it's perfect to wear during the day as an alternative to Mary Lou Manizer by TheBalm. Surprisingly (even though it's the cheapest option) this gets a 4/5 from me as I constantly reach for this.
Topshop Highlighter in Crescent Moon
This is possibly the prettiest looking highlighter in my collection and the most recent edition. This highlighter is great for a day look as you have to apply this quite a few times and layer it. I like using a fan brush to apply this for a subtle look. I really like this and this highlighter gets a 3/5 from me!
Sleek Precious Metals Palette - Boots
Sleek are known for there amazing highlighters and this palette is part of 3 highlight palettes they have (you can check out the rest here). I really like this palette it's great for if you want to create a day-time or a night-time look. I really like the range of colours in this palette. My most used colour is the bottom left colour as it works so well with my skin tone. The only thing I don't like about this palette is that it doesn't last too long (well it doesn't last all day) on your face so you'd have to reapply it. This palette gets a 3/5 from me!
Are you obsessed with highlighters? Have you tried any of these highlighters?
New beauty products are just the best right? There's been so many new products on the high-street and online lately. Some of my favourite brands have released some gorgeous products and what better way to show them then in a haul?!
Spectrum Collections Marbleous Brush Set*
Is there anything prettier then a set of make-up brushes? I absolutely adore brushes from Spectrum and I use them daily in my make-up routine. This set was released a few weeks ago and I've seen this set all over Instagram. I love how pretty they are, how they're rose gold and white and the quality of them is amazing. These brushes look so pretty I don't want to use them! (but I will!)
Topshop Lip Contour in Frame
This lip contour from Topshop is quite possibly my new favourite thing. I think this is so good for lining your lips and I really like this shade on me.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Beau Brun - Superdrug
I've never tried many products from Bourjois before and this colour from the rouge edition lipsticks from Bourjois caught my eye. The colour appeared more brown when I tried this on my hand but on the lips its a lot more red. The Topshop lip contour is the other swatch on my hand and as you can see it's an absolutely gorgeous nude colour.
Blank Canvas Cosmetics F22 Brush*
This is a new edition to my make-up stash and I am a little bit obsessed with this brush from Blank Canvas Cosmetics. This F22 brush is multi-purpose and these are the sort of brushes I adore. It's great for using with cream, powder and liquid products. This brush is quite dense and reminds me to my buffing brush from Real Techniques but after 3 of them in my life (all breaking) I'm excited to finally have a new face brush to use.
Topshop Highlighter in Crescent Moon
Topshop do highlighters? I was surprised when I discovered this beauty. They come in three shades and I picked up Crescent Moon. I think this is a gorgeous highlighter and it works so well for a natural subtle look.
Max Factor Limited Edition Luxe Collection Face Finity Primer
Longest name for a primer ever? I think so. I have never really dabbled into Max Factor when It comes to picking up make-up and I am not really sure why. My trusty Rimmel primer has run out again and I thought why not try something new. This primer blends in so well to my skin and leaves my pores looking a lot smaller. I am really impressed with this primer and it's nice to see another affordable primer on the high-street.
Sleek 'A New Day' Palette - Boots
I'm obsessed with Sleek palettes at the moment and if you're looking for an affordable drugstore make-up palette, this is your go-to. Out of their latest releases I do prefer their all night long palette as it's a lot more pigmented but I really like the colour range of this palette.
Have you tried any of these products? What products are you loving on the high street right now?
Pink Parcel Subscription Box*
If you're not already familiar with Pink Parcel, you're missing out. Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box which sorts you out at that time of the month. When it comes to my time of the month, all I want is a little pamper and eat some junk food. This box has been a life saver for me this month. I think if you're looking for a good (and practical) box to treat yourself to at that time of the month this box is for you. You can make sure your box comes right when you monthly cycle normally begins too as they have three dispatch dates you can choose from each month. You can sign up and receive your first box for £9.95 including P&P.
This months Pink Parcel has a lovely array of treats from lifestyle to beauty to the monthly essentials you need for your period. No matter the length of your cycle, you can ensure this box will sort you out as there are more then enough samples in this box. You can choose between receiving pads or tampons from a wide selection of brands.
What I really like about this box is the drawstring bag which comes with your period essentials inside which means you can keep your tampons/pads safe in your bag on the go (no pulling out your towels by accident as they're lose in your bag!)
Alongside your sanitary towels/tampons each month there's a product which will help you take care of your down below area. This month it's a purifying cleanser from SASS. The SASS purifying cleanser has been created to help you feel fresh throughout the day.
The month box also includes a Tampon disposal bag from Fab Little Bag (RRP £1.99) but if you don't use tampons these can also be used for liners.
Each month includes a box for you which includes 4 beauty treats. This months box includes mask from NPW Pomegranate & Paw Paw (RRP £1.85) which is an essential for when you're having that time of the month. I love using face masks at least once or twice every week. This face mask left my skin feeling fresh and it smells amazing which was the perfect treat I needed.
Another product in this months box comes from New CID cosmetics which is a Ismoulder eyeshadow pencil (RRP £18) in the shade 10 sapphire. This eyeshadow pencil is really pigmented and it's great for blending for a bold eye look.
This months box also included Boozi Body care hand cream (RRP £3.95) which is perfect for when your hands need some TLC. Some of the scents in the range include Pina Colada, Cheeky Woo Woo and Virgin Mojito.
The last beauty product in this months box comes from True Brit London and it's a gorgeous baby pink nail polish (RRP £12.50). This nail polish has been created especially for Pink Parcel subscribers which make it a great unique addition this month.
This box also includes a range of sweet treats and healthy treats including Mallow and Marsh Bar, Tea Pigs tea and Nairn's rough oatcakes.
Each Pink Parcel box also includes voucher codes so if you like anything and want more in each box you can save a few pennies! My overall verdict of this box is it's great to have a box which takes care of you when your having your monthly period and to be able to treat yourself, pamper yourself and take care of the monthly essentials you need.
I definitely think it's worth signing up, even if it's a one off box as it's always good to treat yourself right?
You can get your first Pink Parcel box for only £9.95 here.
What do you think of this months box? Are you tempted to try Pink Parcel?
Over the past around 9 months or so every make-up lover in the UK has become fixated on NYX Cosmetics since it's launch in the UK. What's the big deal about NYX? In case you have been living under a bush for the past few months it's an affordable make-up brand from the US which is slowly making it's way into our local Boots stores. NYX products are also available on ASOS and Feel Unique.
(Top to bottom swatches Intense Butter Gloss in Chocolate Crepe, Butter Gloss in Praline and Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Sandstorm)
Can you tell I love a nude lipstick? I am obsessed with these three colours from NYX at the moment My most used product out of the three is the liquid suede lipstick in sandstorm. I think it's a gorgeous brown shade and it works so well with my skin tone. It dries pretty matte which I love and it was a bargain at about £6. I really like the intense butter glosses as they are incredibly moisturising and pigmented. I think chocolate crepe is the perfect pink toned nude colour. If you're a fan of lip glosses the next thing on your wish list needs to be the butter gloss in praline. It's a gorgeous shade of brown, moisturising without looking too 'out there'.
NYX Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray
I've been the biggest fan of the Urban Decay setting spray but it is pricey at about £21 per bottle. I have been looking on the high-street for the perfect alternative and I finally think I've found it. It's only £7 and if you're not looking for a dewy finish you can pick up the matte finish setting spray. It leaves my skin with a dewy finish which I love as sometimes (even though I love it) the Urban Decay setting spray can leave my make-up looking really matte.
NYX Wonder Pencil in Medium
Who doesn't love a 3 in one product? This wonder pencil from NYX is only £4 and so it doesn't break the bank either. This wonder pencil can be used as a concealer, eye brightener and reverse lip liner all in one. If you're always on the go and looking for a cheap affordable and multi-use product to add to your make-up bag, this is your go-to.
NYX Highlight and Contour Palette
This is definitely my favourite product from NYX (aside from the lip products) and this is a great investment no matter your skin tone. I picked this up on my trip to Germany (you can check out my post about my trip here) where NYX was actually a little bit cheaper then it is in the UK so it cost me about £13 instead of £18. Nevertheless this palette is great as it has 4 contour shades and 4 highlight and illuminating shades. I love using this to create evening and day-time looks.
Do you have any NYX recommendations? Have you tried any of these NYX products?

Red Mulberry Bag - Hardlyeverwornit
My favourite shop at the moment is New Look without a doubt I'm absolutely hooked and where have you been if you haven't checked out their current sale?! (It's amazing!) I recently picked up a few bits in the sale which you'll probably see in an outfit post soon. I am obsessed with this white laser cut-out bag and these heels are only £9 in the sale!
I have recently discovered the website Hardly Ever Worn It and I'm obsessed. There's so many hardly ever worn designer items which are sold and you can save a few or a lot of pennies on. I am dreaming of owning this Mulberry bag. A more budget friendly option is this clutch bag, how gorgeous is this detailing? I love it!
I am also loving Pretty Little Thing *note to self make a purchase soon* and these jeans with stars on are AMAZING and they're under £30 what's not to love?
What's your favourite item in this weeks wish list? What are you loving on the high-street at the moment?

I've never been completely blown away from the Love Me Beauty boxes until now. I am beyond impressed with this months box and this months box shows that they're really catching up to the big players within the industry of beauty boxes.
This months edition you get a bag instead of a box and I definitely can do with another make-up bag or two in my life. This months box includes 6 full sized or travel samples and the latest Tangle Teezer brush which retails at £18.
LMB Blending Sponge
What I've really loved about Love Me Beauty boxes in the past is that they come with little gifts each month from the brand. In the past there's been tweezers, nail files and now a blending sponge. You can never have too many blending sponges right? I love that when you use this damp you get such good coverage with liquid products. This sponge isn't as good as the beauty blender but it definitely comes close to it. I think this is a great edition to this months box.
Tangle Teezer Blow Styling Hair Brush - £18
I've read a lot of reviews about this brush and I was so excited when I saw it in this months box. Do you remember the buzz about the other Tangle Teezer a few years ago? I was a fan of the Tangle Teezer (but only once I'd straightened my hair) as I found it wasn't really made for girls with curly hair. I have got my eye on the new one made for curly hair (available here) though. So far I'm impressed with this brush as it eliminates the frizz when I'm blow drying my hair (win!)
Caudalie Micellar Water
Can you ever have too many micellar waters? I seem to have one of these in my handbag constantly for when I'm on the go. I keep one at my boyfriends house and in my car for those last minute emergencies! I've used this before from another beauty box and I've really loved it. The only thing I'd say I don't like about this is there's no stopper bit at the top so watch that too much product doesn't come off at once.
Make-up Forever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner
Can you ever have too many eyeliners? They're a beauty must-have for taking your make-up looks from day to night. This is a waterproof eyeliner which is really pigmented. It's a total bonus as it's long lasting and waterproof.
Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara
I've heard so much about make up for ever mascaras and the fact this is a travel sized version makes it even more handbag friendly. I've used this mascara a handful of times now and I'm really liking it. It adds a lot of volume to my lashes without making them look clumpy which is a winner for me!
Make Up Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer
This is my favourite product in this months box and I've used it everyday for about a week now. I've never been a fan of silicone based primers (including the Benefit one) but I'm really liking this one. This primer is very silky and easily blendable. This primer helps blur your imperfections which leaves it as a perfect primer to use before your foundation.
This months box is such incredible value for only £10 +(p&p). This box is my favourite so far and I've used and loved every product. To find out more about Love Me Beauty (and subscribe) visit the website here.

Cohorted April Beauty Box*
As much as I love beauty boxes with the amount of repeats I've been seeing it's not made me as excited when my monthly box comes through the post. This months Cohorted beauty box was a real surprise for me and I love it. It was such an eye opener to see some new brand I've never tried before such as MDM flow.
MAC Patent Polish Lip Pencil in Clever - £17.50 (RRP)
One thing I've always loved about Cohorted boxes is that they (occasionally) include MAC products and they are always products I've never tried before. I remember a few boxes back they had a MAC lipstick in there and it was like christmas had come early! I actually really like this shade, it's sheer so it's perfect for those days when you're running out of time to get ready or want to wear minimal make-up. It's such an easy wearable colour too as it's a pink/nude shade.
MDM Flow Lipstick in Panther - RRP £18
MDM Flow is a brand I've seen a lot of on Instagram and if you've never heard of the brand before, MDM flow was set up by Florence Adepoju. Florence has a BSC in cosmetic science and she set up MDM flow as she was frustrated with lip colours not being show on women of colour.
The shades in the range are so bright and flamboyant (perfect for you daring girls out there!) I was happy with the shade panther as it's wearable for those nights out where you feel like you need a pop of colour. On the left side of the photo you can see the MAC lip pencil swatch and I was so surprised as it appears sheer but it's actually quite pigmented.
Miss Patisserie Bath Melt - RRP £3.99
Who doesn't love a bath product? When I'm feeling stressed and need a bit of chill time I head straight for a bath. I'm really excited to use this but then again I don't want too as it looks too pretty to use! This bath melt is made from shea and cocoa butter so it's guaranteed to leave your skin feeling super smooth.
Gold Elements Nail Care Kit - RRP £29.49
Who doesn't enjoy giving their nails a bit of TLC? I try and make time each week to take care of my nails and make sure they're painted and looking great. I love hand and nail creams as they protect your skin and leave it feeling really smooth. I was really happy they included a cuticle oil in this months box as I can never find one in the drugstores on the high street. A girl can never have too many nail files right? I was so glad to see a buffing block and nail file in this box and they went straight in my handbag.
Body Shop White Musk Libertine EDT Perfume - RRP £24
I've never really been into the body shop or the hype that surrounds the brand. It's just never really appealed to me before until this fragrance came into my life. I think this perfume is a perfect day scent as it has sweet notes of turkish delight, baby orchid and chantilly cream. This perfume is also the dream size to put in your handbag.
Overall, I am a big fan of this months box as every product was a new brand to me or a product from a brand I haven't tried before. My favourite product in this months box without a doubt is perfume from The Body Shop I'm in love with this scent!
Have you tried any of these products before? What do you think of Cohorted beauty boxes?
Look Fantastic April Beauty Box*
Look Fantastic was the first beauty box I ever became subscribed too and since then I've been a bit of a beauty box addict. I love receiving a parcel each month and being able to try out so many new beauty brands and beauty brands which I haven't been able to afford/try out before. Over the past few months I've been really impressed with the beauty boxes and the design of each box gets better each month.
Each month the box comes with a copy of Elle magazine which comes in the travel size which is perfect for fitting in your handbag on the go. The theme of this months box is natural beauty and so this months box is full of natural, organic and eco products. This months box features brands including Rituals, Bloom and Blossom, Briogeo, Elemis, Tanworx, Balance Me and My Vitamins.
Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish
If there's a brand I've really loved using over the past year or so (thanks to beauty boxes) it's Balance Me. I've never been left disappointed when I've used any of their products. This super toning body polish helps smooth and tone the skin. I've used this once already after the shower and I'm impressed with it (and it smells amazing) and it's best using this on damp skin on the areas you feel need to be a little firmer.
My Vitamins Performance Effervescent x 20 Tablets
It's nice to see that in this months box they've included a product for your 'inner beauty'. I am a bit fan of the orange vitamin c tablets and I love lemon products and so this has been a great alternative to my traditional vitamin c tablets. It's a great boost for when you're feeling run down during the day.
Tanworx Tan Maintainer by Monu Skincare
I'm a massive fan of Monu Skincare products but this is a product I've not got on board with. It's been in the Look Fantastic beauty boxes at least once (if not twice) before and so I've tested and trialled this a few times. I'm not the biggest fan of tanning products but when it comes to the summer months I do like using tanning products and this product has disappointed me before.
Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
If there's one thing I love in a beauty box is a hair treatment. I've never heard of Briogeo before and so I am looking forward to giving this conditioning mask a go. This mask is infused with Argan, Avocado, Rosehip and Sweet Almond oil. This mask claims to leave your hair feeling super soft and replenished. This mask helps leave your hair look healthy looking and add shine.
Bloom and Blossom Bath and Shower Gel
This bath and shower gel is foaming and it's enriched with vitamin E and organic cucumber extracts. This shower gel is free from parabens, sulfates and synthetic fragrance. This gel is safe to use throughout pregnancy and motherhood. It's fragrance free and gently cleanses and hydrates the skin.
Rituals Ginseng and Ginkgo Biloba Miracle Hand Scrub
I'm a massive fan of hand cream but I've never got into using hand scrubs. I am a big fan of Rituals (there body creams are out of this world!) and so this is now a firm favourite of mine as I use it once or twice a week before I go to bed for some extra pampering on my hands. This scrub is enriched with nourishing oils and gets rid of dead skin on your hands. This leaves them silky smooth and this scrub smells amazing too.
Elemis British Botanical Hand and Nail Butter
I love hand creams and I have one in every bag I own so I can keep my hands feeling smooth on the go. This hand cream from Elemis is infused with a blend of lavender, geranium and chamomile. This blend of fragrance will help calm your mood so it's great for me at the moment as I've been really stressed. I love how this is only 20ml as it's the perfect size to fit in your handbag.
Overall I have liked this months box but it isn't my favourite box that Look Fantastic have done. I love how the boxes are becoming themed each month and that this one celebrates organic and natural beauty, but as a long-time subscriber to this box there has been a few repeat products. I love how Look Fantastic ensure there's a great variety of products in each box but I think this box is missing a make-up product. The edition of Elle magazine each month is a massive win for me though which makes this box even better value for money. I have to say I'm really excited to see what Look Fantastic have in store for the rest of this year.
