  • Fashion: Fashion Week Ready With Midori

It's not often you receive a surprise parcel but this parcel really cheered me up on a not so great day. With fashion week coming up the lovely people over at Midori surprised me with this gorgeous parcel to make sure that I am fashion week ready!

    Biscuiteers Biscuits
I've never tried any biscuits by Biscuiteers but these biscuits were amazing! I think it's a great personal touch and how cute is the midori bottle in biscuit form?

I'm loving my new make-up bag from Rock On Ruby which is so nice, perfect for popping into my bag when I want to touch up my make-up through-out the day. I'm so glad I've got the essential mini versions of Batiste dry shampoo, Nivea deodorant and the handbag essentials including wet wipes, nail polish remover and Barry M Nail polish in Sprint Finish which is a gorgeous shade and perfect for making your nails look fashion week ready.

What would fashion week be with out some cocktails? I was introduced to Midori a long time ago at a fashion event with New Look (as they were sponsoring it) and they made the yummiest cocktails! When I was over in New Zealand in Summer 2014 (you can check out some of my posts here and here) I did some interning at a social/digital company and they managed Midori's social channels which was such a great account to work on while I was interning as it's such a nice drink!
I'm going out at the weekend with some friends and I can't wait to try out some Midori themed cocktails before hand. I really want to try out the Midori Melonball cocktail and the Midori Japanese Gin and Tonic.

I also received some Funkin cocktail bits and if you haven't heard of Funkin before you are definitely missing out. I remember a couple of years ago I tried out some of these for my birthday and loved the mojito one so I'm excited to try these out when I'm next making some alcoholic drinks!

    Fujifilm Instax Mini 8
I was so overwhelmed when I saw this in the parcel. I've wanted a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 for so long and I'm BEYOND excited that I finally own one! I've been stalking the hashtag #polaroid for so long on Instagram and my housemate has one of these and photos look amazing on it. I can't wait to try using this for events, day trips and what I really want to do is take this on a sunny holiday (not just for fashion week!)
Thankyou so much Midori I feel totally spoilt! I can't wait to try these goodies out and thank you for making me fashion week ready!
(even though I planned to attend I can't due to final year at university problems) but hopefully I'll make it in September!
Have you tried out any of these products? Have you tried out Midori?
  • Beauty: theBalm Voyage Vol.2 Palette Review

    theBalm Voyage Vol.2 Palette - £37.50
As you'll know from some of my posts over the past few months I've become a little bit obsessed with theBalm. You can check out my posts here and here. A few days ago, when I was wandering around my local TK Maxx store and found this palette I was over the moon. I was even more excited when I remembered I had a £20 voucher and so this was a real treat after what wasn't (at the time) a great day as it was only £16.99. (It retails for £37.50)

This palette includes 9 eyeshadows, a highlighter, bronzer, 2 blushes and 2 lip and cheek creams. What I love about this palette is that it doesn't fall under your typical nude eyeshadow palette. There's a green shade (Bienvenido) and a blue shade (Welkom) and a dark black shimmery shade (Failte) included in the palette as well as some more wearable shades.

(Swatches of Bienvenue, Willkommen, Bienvenido, Failte)
This palette differs from the original as it has 3 less eyeshadows but the second version has gained a highlighter, bronzer and two blush shades. My favourite eyeshadow shades are Willkommen, Bienvenido, Bienvenue and Failte.

(Swatches of Kuwakaribisha, Croeso, Huan Ying, Dobrodosli)

The highlighter in the palette is (in my opinion) exactly the same as the Mary Lou Manizer so this palette is a great option for getting ready on the go. What I really love about this palette is that there's a matte bronzer and the shade is gorgeous against my skin tone.

Overall I really like this palette. I think it's great for when you're on the go and don't have much time to do your make-up. It's also a really slim palette too so it won't take up too much space in your bag!
You can pick this palette up on ASOS here.

What do you think of this palette? Have you tried any products from theBalm?

  • Beauty: Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Full Collection Review #UDXGWEN

If you've been a reader of fashion-train for a long time now you'll know that Urban Decay is one of my all-time favourite make-up brands (if not) my all-time favourite make-up brand. I've never tried an Urban Decay product I haven't loved. Gwen Stefani collaborating with Urban Decay was one of the biggest beauty launches toward the end of last year. The first item from the range which was released was the eyeshadow palette (you can check out the review in this post) which you can pick up for £40 here.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette
Since adding this palette to my collection in November I have used this pretty much everyday. When I first used this palette I was slightly sceptical as there's a bright pink and blue in this palette but 90% of the eyeshadows are perfect for creating day-time and night-time looks. You can check out my full review of this palette here.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush and Cheek Palette
When I first tried out this palette a couple of weeks ago (you can check out the post here) I wasn't very keen on using it. After giving this palette a couple more tries I now absolutely love using the shades Angel and Hush. I find Angel works well for a highlight shade and that Hush is great for a slight hint of blush. I still think that this palette is better suited to lighter skin tones but I've still made some good use of it!

    (L-R 714, Wonderland, Ex-Girlfriend, Firebird, Rock Steady)
What I really like about this range is that there's lip liners to match every lipstick. I tend to wear lip liners more then lipsticks (when it comes to nude colours) but I think with such bright colours in the range matching lip liners are a great idea. So far I'd say my favourite shades are Rock Steady (when I'm going for an evening look) and Ex-Girlfriend for during the day time. Also how adorable is this packaging? I'm a little bit in love...

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Brow Box
I think the idea of this brow box is so good. I am always loosing tweezer and trying to find a brush to handle my brows so it's great that in this box they're all in the same place. This box includes a wax and two brow shades which is versatile for both brown and blonde hair colours. I've used the shade on the left for my brows and it's worked well. This is a great product for being on the go and also for getting rid of those last minute hairs underneath your brows.

(L-R Swatches Spiderweb, Wonderland, Firebird, 714, Ex-Girlfriend and Rock Steady)

Lastly in the Gwen Stefani collection are 6 lipsticks. As you'd probably expect pretty much all of them are different shades of red as Gwen is never seen without a red lipstick on. What I really like about these lipsticks is that with the lip liners they are extremely long wearing. My favourite shades to use are Ex-Girlfriend and Rock Steady but I am really liking Wonderland too!

What do you think of the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani collaboration? What products are you dying to try out right now? Which product from the range is your favourite?

  • Beauty: Cohorted February Beauty Box Review

    Cohorted February Box*
Cohorted never disappoint when it comes to offering luxury products in their beauty boxes. I'm always really impressed by the variety of the products inside and I always find some new favourite products through these boxes. This month's box was definitely a treat and I was beyond excited to see some Chanel inside!

This month's box includes products from Marc Jacobs, Elemis, Dove, Chanel, Bare Minerals and Cargo Cosmetics. If you missed my review of last months Cohorted box you can check the post out here.

Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment - RRP £45

I've never tried a Bare Minerals product I haven't loved. What I like about Bare Minerals is that you know you're buying quality. You know that the products are actually going to work. This night treatment is proven to reduce the appearance of pores, improve luminosity and to leave your skin feeling replenished. I've used this a couple of times now after I've toned my skin at night and it's working for me well so far!

    Lola Perfume by Marc Jacobs
I'm a big Marc Jacobs perfume fan and Lola is a gorgeous scent. What I love about small samples like this is you can put this in your clutch bag for a night out and smell amazing all evening!

    Elemis Pro Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks x 2 - RRP £15

I've never really tried any Elemis products before and so I was excited to see these in this month's box. I've been having real problems with my under eyes lately and because I've been so stressed and tired my dark circles are showing! I am looking forward to trying this mask and giving my eyes some much needed TLC.

Dove True Tone Underarm Dark Mark Eraser

This deodorant was a last addition to this months box as the Pixi eye crayons didn't arrive on time to be put in the box. I'm a big fan of Dove products and I think this is a great addition to the box. I think as well it's a great size to pop into your bag on the go.

Cargo Longwear Lipgloss - RRP £10

I really like Cargo cosmetics but I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this gloss. I love the pigmentation but it left my lips feeling sticky and it didn't give me the look I wanted to achieve.

Chanel Long-wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Apparition - RRP £25

This is the product I was probably most excited about in this month's box. Cohorted have had Lancome products in the boxes before but never anything like Chanel. I think this eyeshadow is perfect for a dark smokey eye look and when you want to wear a bit of colour.

What do you think of this month's Cohorted box? Which is your favourite product?
Do you have any product recommendations for things I need to try?
  • Beauty: Champneys Health Spa Detox Range Review

Sometimes it's all about pampering yourself and the new detox range from Champneys Health Spa is a definite treat. I've heard a lot about Champneys but I've never actually tried anything from the brand. I've always wanted to visit one of the spa's though as who wouldn't love a pamper day/weekend? What I love about this collection is that you can bring the spa to your house for only £30 (you can buy the range here).

Champneys Detox Skin Firming Shower Scrub
First of all how gorgeous is the packaging of this range? I've been a big fan of using Soap and Glory products but I've never really experimented when it's come to trying out other products and so I am so glad I've tried this. One thing I love doing at the moment is pampering myself (especially as i'm in my third year at university as it's super stressful!) and so this is where this range comes in. I love trying out new products but out of all the products this shower scrub stood out the most for me.
The shower scrub is perfect for exfoliating in the shower and leaving your skin smelling gorgeous and feeling smooth. This is a perfect product for when you think your skin needs a little extra TLC.

Champneys Detox Skin Firming Body Butter
Body butters are an absolute dream and a little goes a very long way. This will probably last me about 6 months! After shaving my legs in the shower one thing I love doing is using a body butter once I've got out to leave my legs feeling moisturised and smooth. I really like using this on my dry skin patches (on my elbows and knees) to leave them feeling more firm and moisturised and not forgetting this body butter smells absolutely amazing.

Champneys Detox Hip and Thigh Firming Mud
Lastly, it's the hip and thigh firming mud. First of all I'm a little bit obsessed with this packaging. How great will this be after it's finished for storing cotton pads or small beauty products? I've always been intrigued by mud looking products and normally they come in the form of face masks so I was really intrigued about this. This hip and thigh firming mud definitely makes me feel like I'm at a spa. I've used this a couple of times now and I've loved the results. I apply this before I go into the shower for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water or I'll use it as a mid-week treatment when I want to give myself a little pamper!
Have you tried out any Champney's products? What products are you loving using on your skin at the moment?
You can buy the range as a set for £30 here.

  • Fashion: The Nightwear Wish List

Joules Mini Jersey Vest Top - John Lewis
Joules Freya Floral Bottoms - John Lewis
Calvin Klein Floral Pyjama Pants - John Lewis
Cyberjammies Waterlily Print Set - John Lewis
Joules Striped Jersey Top - John Lewis
John Lewis Checked Pyjama Bottoms - John Lewis
Cyberjammies Bird Print Robe - John Lewis

Anyone that knows me will know I absolutely love pyjamas. I tend to ask for pyjamas for my birthday and christmas and as soon as I get in from a day at uni my skinny jeans are off and my pyjama bottoms are on, they're just the comfiest things ever! So I thought I'd share with you all some of the pyjamas I'm lusting after on John Lewis at the moment.

I am a big fan of Joules and I think the brand is really unique. I actually have a Joules duvet which I absolutely love (it's double sided so you can use it both ways) and the prints Joules have I think are gorgeous. I really like this pair of pyjama bottoms and I love how you can get tops to match too.

I think pyjama bottoms are better to invest in rather then pyjama tops as I find you can just have a few plain tops and alternate and it's much better to invest in pyjama bottoms as they'll last you a lot longer.

    Which pyjamas are your favourite?
Are you a massive fan of pyjamas? As soon as you get in do you put on your pyjama bottoms too?

*This post is in collaboration with John Lewis*
  • Beauty: My Everyday Skincare Routine

I've never been much of a skincare fan until recently (well about the past 6 weeks) my skin had become really dry and dehydrated and needed a quick fix. I've never tried any products from Liz Earle before and boy was I missing out. My skincare routine has completely changed and my skin has never looked better. So I thought I'd let you all know my current skincare routine, especially if you're suffering from dry/dehydrated skin like me!

Embryolisse Micellar Lotion* (available at Feel Unique)

I've been a massive fan of micellar waters and I've never really found one I've really liked. I find this one from Embryolisse is gentle on my skin and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and really helps take my make-up off.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - Feel Unique

I am absolutely obsessed with all things Liz Earle right now. I never thought I'd find a brand which suits my skin so much as I've always felt so unsatisfied with cleansers i've tried in the past. I use this after I've taken my make-up off with micellar water and apply a 10p sized amount and moisturise it into the face and use the cloth to remove it.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic - Feel Unique
To finish my skincare routine I grab a cotton pad and dab a small amount of this tonic onto it to give my first one last cleanse before I go to sleep. My current routine leaves my skin feeling hydrated and moisturised and it's helped improve my confidence so much.
Do you use any of these products? Have you got any skincare recommendations?

  • Travel: How to pack like a pro

Travel: How to pack like a pro

For a lot of people, packing can be a stressful and often unpleasant time. On one hand, it should be exciting as for most, it is the beginning of your ‘holiday mode’ where you can switch off your brain to all the realities, and simply relax, but on the other, it can be horrendous. If you have experienced the latter on more than one packing occasion, and feel like you are trying to squeeze 2 weeks’ worth of clothes into a shoe box, read on for our best packing tips, which have been favoured by the professionals, so you can pack like a pro…

Let’s start with your clothes as this is normally the biggest problem…lay out all of the items that you are considering taking on your trip, and that you truly think you will need. Once you have done that, put half of them back. Brutal maybe, but if you are packing for a holiday, and are taking a reasonable sized suitcase, you should not have any trouble fitting all the clothes you will need for your trip in there and if you do, you’ve packed too many.

If you can, try and pack fabrics that will not crease – knits, wools and cottons are best for this, and roll your softer garments and fold the stiffer ones. You will be surprised at how much space will be created when rolling your clothes. Line the bottom of your case with the rolled clothes, and place the folded ones on top. Simple.

Shoes are bulky, so avoid taking too many. Pick versatile pairs that can be worn with more than one outfit, and utilise the space in them when you are packing. Stuff your shoes with awkward items such as chargers, socks, and sunglasses, and make the most of the space.

Jewellery can often be a tricky thing to pack, as you do not want to lose it, or break it, so; before you go, decide what jewellery you would like to wear each day, and get yourself a 7-day pill box. These are not only fantastic at keeping your earrings and necklaces safe, but also means that you can keep track of them, reducing the chances of losing anything whilst you are away, as you can clearly see if you are missing any items. Try and avid taking expensive items away with you, unless you have a secure place to store them at your accommodation, and in that case, wear them whilst you travel.

Finally, when it comes to packing your beauty products, do not take full sized bottles. Decanter your favourite creams into travel bottles, and opt for dual purpose products. Consider where you are going, whether you will be wearing foundation, or if a tinted moisturiser is more appropriate. Avoid spillages and accidents from happening by placing Clingfilm over the top, before placing the lid. Group all of your toiletries into a bag and slide them into the side of your case.

  • Beauty: Glossybox February Beauty Box Review

    Glossybox February Beauty Box*
If there's one thing that I look forward to each month it's my Glossybox delivery. I have always found some really amazing beauty products through Glossybox. This month's box is very valentines themed (sorry this post is up a little late!) and it reflects all the must have essentials you'll need to make yourself feel super glam for an evening out with a loved one.

Another thing I love about Glossybox is that it feels like a present to yourself each month (and who doesn't love that) Glossybox always includes full size products which makes subscribing to this box even better value.

Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner - Full size £10.64
I've already tried this and it's well worth trying out. I love using hair masks and this one made my hair feel nourished and silky smooth. Last months Glossybox included an orange juice hand cream from Naobay and that's become an everyday staple for me so I can confirm Naobay products are well worth trying out!

MUA Power Pout Glaze Low Voltage Gloss - RRP £3.50

I think this is a great product for lip gloss fans and girls who like to stay glamorous on the go. This gloss has a hint of colour in and it's perfect for if you're going for a more natural but still put together look.

Browtician Love Skull Limited Edition Tweezer - RRP £7.99

I've never heard of the brand Browtician before but this is a great set of tweezers. I find whenever i'm busy and on the go (there's always a loose eyebrow hair that needs plucking once I'm out the house) and so this set is living in my handbag!

Wilkinson Sword Intuition Razor RRP £6.99

I've never seen a razor like this before. My current favourite razor is the venus snap as it's so handy and easy to use but this razor from Wilkinson Sword acts as a soap and a shaver so if you're looking for a two in one product, this razor is for you.

Nicka K New York 24hr Waterproof Eyeliner - RRP £3.99

Once you've given your hair some TLC with the Naobay hair mask and shaved your legs with the Wilkinson Sword it's onto the make-up. This product from Nicka K is great if you want to go for a more daring night time look and I'll tell you one thing this liner does not budge so it's best to use an eye make up remover when taking this off.

You can subscribe to Glossybox here. You can also get a special edition Mother's Day box here for only £30 (trust me it's worth a purchase!)

What do you think of this months Glossybox?
  • Beauty: The New Brand To Watch - Glo and Ray

Glo and Ray is a brand I haven't heard before but since finding out about it I've really loved using the products. I've never actually shopped on Beauty Mart online before but I'll definitely be shopping there again. Beauty Mart stocks brands including Elizabeth Arden, Embryolisse, Tangle Teezer and Starskin. Glo and Ray is a brand that is designed to complement every woman's unique look, uniting the radiant elegance of light with both grace and femininity.

First of all the packaging of the Glo and Ray products is very sleek and professional. It reminds me a lot of the Nars product packaging. One thing I do like about Glo and Ray is that the products are very affordable. I wouldn't put them at the high end as the lipsticks are only £12 each, the eyeshadow quad is £12.50, the eyeliner is £9 and the blusher is £11. The prices of these products are quite similar to drugstore brand Soap and Glory.

Glo and Ray Eyeshadow Quad in Mariposa

I'm very much a neutral sort of girl when it comes to what sort of eyeshadows I reach for. This eyeshadow quad from Glo and Ray has really changed my mind. I still reach for the neutral colours but for evenings out I've loved reaching for the purple shades. The darker shade in the corner of my eyes and the lighter purple shade for a pop of colour.

Glo and Ray Blush in Nuage

This blush looks a lot more colourful then it is when it's in the palette. I love using this for an accent of colour to my cheeks and I think this would work really well on darker skin tones.

Glo and Ray Creamy Shimmer Lipstick in Tender

This lipstick is probably the product I've used the most as I tend to reach for neutral lipstick colours more on a daily basis. I find I use this more to reapply lipstick during the day as it's light with a hint of colour.

Glo and Ray Eyeliner in Eternity

This eyeliner seriously doesn't budge. What I love using this for is for when I'm going for a smokey eye look. I use the blue shade from the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette for a hint of colour and then use this eyeliner to intensify the colour and it looks amazing (You may need an eye make-up remover to be able to remove this though!)

Glo and Ray Creamy Shimmer Lipstick in Marigold

This lipstick colour I absolutely love. I think this is the sort of red/orange shade which looks best on my skin tone. As much as I love my MAC lipstick in Lady Danger that lipstick is incredibly drying. I love this shade from Glo and Ray as it's moisturising and looks really good with a neutral make-up look.

(eyeliner, lipstick in Marigold and lipstick in Tender swatches)

I think Glo and Ray is definitely a brand to watch, especially for those of you who love using colour when it comes to your make-up looks!

What do you think about Glo and Ray? Which product would you most like to try out?

  • Lifestyle: Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day is coming up this weekend which means it's the perfect time to be searching for that perfect gift for your mum. I've already given my mum her presents but I thought I'd put together a gift guide for this of you whole are shopping or who will be last minute shopping for a gift for the weekend.

Champneys A Little Something Special Gift Set* (currently £19 here) normally £47.50

Champneys products are a complete winner when it comes to looking for a gift for your mum. What mum doesn't love a bit of pampering? This set also includes a candle but I've already burnt it as it smells so so good! I think this is also a pretty good set as (if by chance) your mum doesn't like everything it means you can have it!

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray - Feel Unique

This product is an absolute dream. I've always struggled getting to sleep and this has sorted me out, especially when I'm really stressed. I think this is a great product for Mother's day as mum's are always so busy and stressed out.

Cath Kidston Rose Hand Cream Trio - Boots

If you're looking for a great present but not wanting to break the bank, hand cream is a great gift. This trio are all rose scented hand creams and they are the perfect size for travelling. I'd pop one in my handbag, one in my car and then one by my bedside to make sure my hands are smooth all the time. This is great present for mums who are on the go.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Starter Kit - Boots

This product has changed my life (yes literally) I've been searching for the perfect cleanser for so long and I've finally found it. You may have seen this product feature in this blog post. I think this is great for normal/dry skin and if your mum is suffering from dry skin it's well worth trying this.

Spring Infusion Timeless and Elegant Candle - Boots

If you're looking for another product your mum will love that won't break the bank picking up a candle is the perfect present. This candle has a sweet violet smell which makes it a light and airy candle which is perfect for filling any room with a fragrance (and it's only £5!)

Deliciously Ella: Awesome Food, Incredibly Ingredients - Amazon

Deliciously Ella is really having a moment right now. I think if you're looking to change your diet, or just your lifestyle this cookbook is the way to go. She's recently released a new book which you can pick up here. Her blog is amazing and her recipes are just as great. If you've got a mum obsessed with cooking then a cookbook is a great gift.

Nourish: Mind, Body and Soul by Amber Rosie, Sadie Frost and Holly Davidson - Amazon

This book is one of the best healthy eating cookbooks I've seen in a while. I think this book is great as it goes through breakfast options, lunch, dinner and snacks. This book also mentions yoga, meditation and smoothie recipes.

Another option for a gift for mothers day is a spa treatment/spa day and this Moroccan Hammam treatment by Urban Retreat looks like a perfect gift.

What are you treating your mum to this mother's day? Which gift was your favourite?
  • Beauty: Look Fantastic #LFEXPLORER Beauty Box Review

If there's one beauty box which is surprising me every month it's the Look Fantastic beauty box. I've been a subscriber for about a year (or just over) and this box has really stepped up it's game in the past few months. Last months box (you can read the review here) was my ultimate favourite and this months box is just as amazing.

First up it comes with this months Elle magazine which is every fashion and beauty lovers dream in magazine form. I'm always put off buying Elle though as it's about £4.10/£4.20 when I can just pick up this month's Cosmo for only £1. But when it came with this months Look Fantastic beauty box I was excited to give it a read as my favourite model Jourdan Dunn is this months cover girl.

In this months box there was an added extra (yes on top of Elle magazine too) which is two Emergen C vitamin drinks. All you need to do is have one per day and dilute it with a glass of water. I used to take the tablet versions of these all the time so it's great to see it in powder form, perfectly for when you're on the go and need an energy boost.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream - (Full size is £9 here)

I've never heard of First Aid Beauty before but I'm sure this will soon become a firm favourite of mine. You can use this on your hands/anywhere on your body to rehydrate dry areas and I can confirm this is already making a difference to a dry patch I have on my arm. I'll be carrying this around in my bag for when I have dry skin and need a quick fix.

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti Fatigue Moisturising Cream - (Full size £21 here)

Nuxe products have never disappointed me. I've only ever tried the brand thanks to beauty boxes but these are great products (especially in mini versions like this) to take when you're going away for the weekend or on holiday and you need a little more hydration.

Lottie London Shade and Shadow Brush

I'm a big fan of Lottie London products and I loved using this brush (but I've lost it) so I'm really glad I've got another one! You can take a look at my post about Lottie London here. This is a great brush for when you're wanting to add liner to your eyes or when you want to be precise with your make-up looks.

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water (Full size £9 here)

I'm the biggest fan of using micellar waters to remove my make-up, but when it comes to travelling with micellar water the bottles are always too big to travel with. I'll be taking this on my next break when I've only got hand luggage as this size is absolutely perfect. This micellar water gently removes make-up from the eyes and face in one simple step.

Codage Masque Hydratant Moisturising Mask - (Full size £42)

This deeply hydrating mask will leave your skin feeling nourished and looking healthy. This mask works to banish signs of dryness and damage and leave the skin feeling revitalised, radiant and glowing.

    Revlon Colourburst Lip Balm

This is a newly launched product from Revlon and I've never tried any of the colourburst lip balms before. This balm is infused with a triple butter complex of shea, mango and coconut butter. This is a light pink shade which means it works perfect not just as a lip balm but as a cream blush product (it's best to apply this on the apples of your cheeks)

What do you think of this months Look Fantastic beauty box? Have you tried out any of these products?

So here's a few bits on the high-street that I'm really lusting after at the moment.
I have been really love the website Love The Sales as it's one site which you can go to where you can explore and check out ALL THE SALES (yes all the sales) what sort of girl doesn't love the sales and finding a bargain? My favourite sales to look at are the Ted Baker Sale and Jack Wills Sale. I've found that lately I've been loving loungewear more and more as all I seem to be doing with my life (thanks to being a third year at university) is doing my work in the library! I am however absolutely loving shoes... the nicer the better right?
I have these Daniel Footwear pumps (I actually have them in leopard print) and they are literally the comfiest shoes I have ever owned and I'm lusting after them in beige at the moment! I've noticed that in Topshop they are stocking so many colours of this gorgeous double strap v-neck cami and I think this is the perfect staple to wear during the day (with a denim shirt and jeans) and for a night out with black ripped jeans and heels.
I have been living in my black jamie jeans and I'm looking at expanding my collection as I'm fed up of wearing black jeans most days each week! I have my eye on this grey pair of jamie jeans as I think they are just as versatile as black jeans and how great would these look with an oversized jumper and converse for a casual look?
When it comes to online shopping the first place I go to for my high-street fix is Pretty Little Thing. I've fallen a little bit in love with this high-neck floral jumpsuit and it's only £30! I also have my eye on this grey faux shearling jacket as I think it's so versatile and a great everyday piece.
What do you think of this weeks high-street picks? Which piece is your favourite?
  • Beauty: My Top 5 Holy Grail Make-up Products

I've really come to love all things make-up and beauty over the past couple of years. So much so that I have now come to a point where there's certain beauty items I just cannot be without and these are the items I've hit pan on or use everyday. I thought it's time I shared with you all my top 5 holy grail make-up products and no surprise here the most popular brand is Urban Decay!

Stila Eyes Are The Window Palette in Soul Get 20% off Look Fantastic with the code (LFSAVE)
If there's one eyeshadow palette I absolutely adore/can't live without/use everyday it's this one from Stila. As you can see I've hit pan on their cult shade 'Kitten' and I use Kitten everyday on my inner corners of my eyes and I can genuinely say I've used every shade in this palette numerous times. I think Stila is an incredibly underrated brand and I can't wait to try some more products from them. Some of the products I've got my eyes on are the Eyes Are The Window Palette in Mind and the Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer (currently £8 in Boots)

I think this is my third solar powder I've gone through now and I absolutely love this product. I use it everyday as a bronzer and it gives me a good amount of coverage but it is a very buildable product. I think for the drugstore this is an amazing bronzer and works so much better then some of higher-end bronzing products I've tried. If you're looking for a new bronzer I'd definitely pick this up on your next trip to Boots!

    TheBalm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter

I never thought you could love a make-up product this much but the Mary Lou is a real all-round product. It's a great brow highlight/cupids bow highlight and works as a general all-round highlighter. Sometimes (If you've wanting to look extra glowy) I dust this over my boobs/arms when I'm going on a night out. This product is 100% worth the hype and it would suit any skin tone.

    Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer

Now this product is an absolute dream. If you're like me and you're looking for fuller, thicker eyelashes this is the product for you and I'd highly recommend using the Perversion Mascara to achieve the fuller, thicker lashes effect as this leaves my lashes looking very curled too. My boyfriend said to me once did I have fake eyelashes on (when I just used these two products)!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Warm
If there's one concealer I'll continue buying for years and years to come it's this one from Urban Decay. It works like a complete dream and it suits my skin so well. I always found that concealers creased on me when the day went on, that they didn't hide my blemishes and dark circles like I wanted to and then this concealer entered my life. Best £17.50 I've ever spent and it's really improved my make-up routine and the overall application of the concealer means a little goes a long way!
Are any of these products holy grail products for you? What are your top 5 holy grail make-up products?
  • Beauty: The £1.50 MAC Soar Lipliner Dupe

I always get so excited when I discover a new dupe for a product I love using. It makes sure I can take the less expensive version out with my during the day and to use the more expensive version when I'm applying my make-up at the start of the day (less chance of it going missing then!) I love Essence make-up (If you didn't know Essence make-up is stocked in Wilkinsons) and it's a very budget friendly brand.

Essence Long Lasting Lipliners (£1.50 each)
I've found another dupe from essence make-up before which is their tinted brow gel which (in my opinion) is exactly the same as Benefit's gimme brow gel (you can check out the post here) and it's only £2.50. I picked up the long lasting lip liners in my local Wilkinson's in the shades 05 Lovely Frappuccino and 08 Girl Next Door.

(Swatches Essence Lovely Frappuccino, MAC Soar)
I think this lip liner from Essence is a really close dupe to MAC Soar and is a teeny bit darker then the shade. I think this works better for when you're lining your lips and you'll be saving £11 of your money in the process. I've used both the shades I picked up a few times now and they're super long lasting and I'll definitely be picking up more these lip liners for when my current ones run out.

What do you think of this £1.50 lip liner? Will you be picking this lip liner up?
  • Beauty: My Urban Decay Face

I never thought I'd get to a point where my daily make-up routine was purely just one brand. With all the brands out there on the high-street and higher end make-up brands there's definitely far too much choice but Urban Decay is a brand I've loved for a long time and I genuinely love ever product I've tried from them. So I thought I'd share with you all the products I'm using at the moment to create my daily make-up routine (and they're all from Urban Decay!)
Urban Decay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation In Shade 4
This product is actually the newest edition to my Urban Decay collection and it's definitely growing on me. I love the naked weightless concealer and so this foundation was definitely the next step up. I love how this foundation is really buildable and light weight.
Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer In Light Warm
I don't know what else I can say about this concealer aside from the fact that you NEED it in your life. If you've not found that perfect concealer that doesn't crease, is full coverage and leaves your skin feeling dewy and looking bright this concealer is for you. I love this concealer so much I genuinely don't think I'll be buying a different one again. I wrote a whole post about how much I love it and you can check out the post here.

    Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion
For the past few months I've used this eyeshadow primer and I don't know what I'd do without it. I loved the idea of wearing eyeshadow everyday but my eyeshadow always creased as the day went on. Since I've discovered this primer my eyeshadow stays in the same place all day long and I love using it.
Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Brow Box*
This brow box is a product I've only really just started getting into. I really like this as it includes a wax, powder, brush and mini tweezers (they are literally adorable) and the powder applies a lot darker then it first looks inside the box. It's part of the Gwen Stefani collection for Urban Decay and you can check out the full review of the collection here.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette *
If you've been reading my blog a while you'll know I absolutely adore this palette. I didn't expect to love this palette as much as I do as Gwen Stefani is famous for her bold make-up looks and this palette is very neutral. I have posted a full review about this eyeshadow palette here.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Cheek and Blush Palette*
The more I use this palette the more I love it. I love using the colours Hush and Angel. Hush as a blush shade and Angel as a light highlight shade. The other 4 colours I don't think I will get much use out of though!
    Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer*
I've mentioned my love for this lash primer so much as it really makes a difference to way my lashes look. I didn't think a mascara primer would work but this one really does. You can check out my blog posts featuring this primer here and here.
    Urban Decay Pervision Mascara
This mascara is a recent edition for me but I absolutely adore it. I've read a lot online that it works really well with the subversion lash primer and I thought I would give it a go and it really does work. My lashes look like I'm wearing fake lashes and they look extremely volumised and curled.

Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Stark Naked*
This lipstick is a recent favourite of mine and I absolutely love this nude. It's a little bit lighter then the typical matte lipsticks I use but it's so moisturising and pigmented which is a change as normally when a lipstick is highly pigmented it's quite drying.
Urban Decay All Nighter Make-up Setting Spray
When I first picked up this make-up setting spray I was a bit hesitant and now I can't imagine my make-up routine without it (I even dedicated a whole post to it here) and I still use it everyday without fail and I have a smaller version in my bag too for when I'm on the go and need a last minute fix.
Urban Decay B6 Vitamin Complexion Setting Spray*
To finish this make-up look off I use the B6 Vitamin Complexion Setting Spray to leave my skin feeling glowy and have a dewy effect. I find this spray really finishes my make-up off!
Have you tried any products from Urban Decay? What make-up product are you loving at the moment?

  • Beauty: Birchbox Word Up March Beauty Box Review

I think Birchbox beauty boxes are just getting better and better each month. I love how each month there is a theme (every box looks different) and the variety of products in each box is great (you can check out last month's Birchbox here). After a very stressful few months the delivery of this months Birchbox has perked me right up!

Arrow Boost Color Enhancing Lip Balm (RRP £11)
I've never been much of a fan of lip balms but I've been really liking using this one. Arrow is a paraben-free, cruelty-free and vegan brand from Birchbox. This lip balm is designed to protect your lips and it adjusts to your pH to create one that's totally unique to you. I'm going to be putting this into my make-up bag in my handbag to keep my lips moisturised and hydrated.

Modelco More Brows in Medium/Dark (RRP £13)
Who doesn't love a brow product? I've gone through one of these brow mascaras before and it's amazing! I was so impressed with it. This product is really similar to Benefit's Gimme Brow and it makes sure it grabs every brow hair to make your brows look fuller. I have gone back to using a brow gel when I don't have time to use my brow powder/wax palette in the morning.

    Amika Nourishing Mask (RRP £19.99)

My hair is struggling at the moment and I think it's due to the horrible weather we are having at the moment and so seeing this in this months box has made my day! This nourishing mask from Amika will help fight dryness and seal split ends. Its best to use this product after you have shampooed your hair and leave this on for 5-10 minutes.

Philip B Drop Dead Straightening Baume (RRP £20)
I'm always looking for products that help me achieve a better and sleeker looking blow dry once I've washed my hair. This product is silicone free (which means it's better for your hair) and it will leave your hair looking smooth. You use a coin-sized amount into damp hair, from roots to ends then comb through and blow dry your hair.

Polaar Ice Source Moisturising Gel (RRP £27.35)
This product from Polaar seems like a good all-rounder skincare product. Whether your skin is dehydrated, oily, or just in need of a pick me up this moisturiser is packed with water and uses the natural benefits of glacier water to hydrate, cool and mattify your face. You can use this after cleansing your face morning and night.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (RRP £16)
This product is one of my favourite products at the moment. I absolutely adore this! I've never been the easiest of sleepers and this has really improved how quickly I can get to sleep. I love this pillow spray so much I wrote a whole post about it here. If you have any problems trying to get to sleep this is the perfect product for you to try out.
You can sign up to Birchbox here for £10 a month plus (£2.95 P&P)
What do you think of this months Birchbox? Have you tried any of these products before?
  • Lifestyle: Living A Healthier Lifestyle

Breville Blend Active Smoothie Maker -*

I was meant to post this ages ago but this post got lost in my drafts (my bad) but since the new year began I've been trying to get onto a little bit more of a health kick. I'm not the perfect size, perfect weight or super skinny but I'm going to try (bit by bit) to make my lifestyle a little bit healthier.

Breville Blend Active Smoothie Maker -*

This set from Breville costs only £30 and it's such good value for money. This comes with two 600ml size bottles (when you want to make larger smoothies) and two 300ml size bottle for smoothies on the go. What I love about this smoothie maker is that it's so easy to use. There's measuring in (ml) bits along the side and what I do is measure 150ml (in the 300ml bottle) and 300ml (in the large 600ml bottle) of almond milk, chop up some fruit and add in frozen berries and you're good to go.

Breville Blend Active Smoothie Maker -*

What I love about smoothies is you can add in whichever fruit you want (even the ones you wouldn't normally go for) and make it into a smoothie and it will taste delicious. I love using the smoothie recipes in the Deliciously Ella books. Here I'm using a banana (I ended up using half), a handful of mango chunks, almond milk and frozen raspberries.

Breville Blend Active Smoothie Maker -*

This is so yummy! I love how quick and easy this smoothie maker is to use (it literally takes 30 seconds) but one thing I'd say is blend for slightly longer to make sure your smoothie is smooth as sometimes I forget and it ends up being full of bits of fruits.

What are you doing to live a healthier lifestyle? Have you got a smoothie maker? Do you have any recipes you would recommend?

  • Beauty: Look Incredible Deluxe March Beauty Box Review

Is there really anything more exciting then a beauty box delivery at the start of the month? I don't think so! I absolutely love trying out new beauty products and a new(ish) beauty box brand on the market is the Look Incredible deluxe beauty box. I think it's getting a lot of hype in the blogosphere at the moment too. The box is only £35 and you get more then your moneys worth back in beauty products from some incredible brands including Lancome, Tarte, Nars to name a few brands.

Nars Lipstick in Pago Pago (RRP £21)
Pago Pago is a gorgeous nude lipstick. It's got a sheer finish and is made to condition the lips and leave them feeling hydrated. I really like the colour of this lipstick and I think it looks amazing over a brown lip liner. (I love using Rimmel Cappuccino or MAC Spice)

(Tarte Blush, Nars Pago Pago, Tarte Bronzer Swatches)
Tarte Parkave Princess Matte Bronzer and Glow (RRP £13)
Who doesn't love a 2 in 1 product? I've never really found a blusher that I love and so this cheek tint has sorted me out just right. The shade is a dark peach shade and as it's a cream product is moisturising on the skin and perfect for blending after using foundation. I actually really love this matte bronzer but you only need a little (literally the smallest amount) as a little does go a long way. The best way to blend this into your make-up is to use a blending sponge.

Lancome Mascara Doll Lashes (RRP £21)
If you're looking for a mascara that adds a lot of volume to your lashes, this is the one for you. I think with already having quite long lashes this doesn't make the biggest amount of difference, but it still makes my lashes have so much more volume and this mascara doesn't leave my lashes looking clumpy.

Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial L'eau 100ml (RRP £71.50)
This fragrance has a really strong scent with notes such as Jasmine, Iris and Rose. I think this is a fragrance for people who love bold scents! The packaging for this perfume is gorgeous and it would look so gorgeous on a vanity table.
Overall I was so excited to see in this months box there's more Tarte! In my first Look Incredible Box there was a Tarte Gifted Mascara and it's absolutely amazing. I think the Nars lipstick will be my most used product followed by the Tarte Parkave Princess Matte Bronzer.
The total value of this box is £126.50 and so for £35 you're getting more than a bargain here (especially if you love all things beauty like me!) This box has now sold out on Look Incredible but you can sign up for the April box here.
What do you think of this months Look Incredible box?
  • Fashion: Ladies Day Wishlist

Powder Blue Long Sleeved Skater Dress - Forever Unique
Pink Overlay Trim Dress - Miss Selfridge
    Nude Halter Jumpsuit - Topshop
Premium Lace Bodycon Dress - Topshop
Geometric Print Skater Dress - Forever Unique
Over the past few years I've been to Ladies Day at Aintree a few times and it's such a fun day out. It's a great excuse to dress up, get your hair, make-up and nails done, earn a few pennies and have fun with the girls. You can check out my previous ladies day posts here and here (I had the best time while I was there!)
It's ladies day at Aintree in just over a month (and then various other ladies days until July) I know some of you will be attending them I thought I'd do an outfit wish list post to give you some inspiration. It's so hard to pick out and outfit for such a prestigious event and so hopefully these picks will give you some ideas.
For ladies day it's all about looking glamorous and stylish. You'll want an outfit that will keep you looking stylish but also comfortable. I think if you're wanting to go more down the glamorous route the best place to look is Forever Unique. They have so many gorgeous dresses suitable for all shapes and styles and how gorgeous is this one?!
I think if you're wanting a more toned down look but still stylish it's great to go for a neutral look. I really love this jumpsuit from Topshop. I think this would look amazing with silver accessories and neutral heels for a stylish look.
Are you off to Ladies Day this year? Which outfit is your favourite?
(I think some of these ideas would work well for weddings too!)
  • Beauty: Ebay Beauty Bargains #3 (Under £5)

La Girl Pro Concealer - £3.99
    10 Kabuki Style Make-up Brushes - £4.90
    Cosmetic Make-up Brush Cleaning Glove - £0.99
    Beauty Blender Style Make-up Sponge - £1.58
    4 Piece Eyeshadow Brush Set - £2.95
Technic Mega Nudes 3 Eyeshadow Palette - £2.46
    W7 Camouflage Concealer Palette - £2.95
    Imagic Matte Lipsticks - £1.52
Who doesn't love a beauty bargain? I've done a few of these posts now and you all seem to love them. If you missed my other Ebay beauty bargains posts you can check them out here and here. I think when it comes to finding a beauty bargain eBay is the place to look. I think there's a lot of missed bargains and you can get even branded make-up a lot cheaper (such as the real beauty blender here) as well as so many other bargains.
I've heard so much about the La Pro Girl Concealer and at only £4 it's a beauty bargain. I've picked up the La Pro Girl Concealer in medium beige but sadly I think it's a little to orange for me I think I should have picked up the cool beige instead. I really want to try out this concealer in a darker shade as a contour as I think blended in with a beauty blender it would look amazing.
One thing I don't enjoy buying is make-up brushes. I find that they're always so expensive (unless they are from Real Techniques) and so recently I've headed to eBay to grab a beauty bargain. I think they're great brushes if you want brushes that 'will do' rather then expecting the highest quality and this 10 piece brush set and 4 piece brush set are under £5! What do you have to loose?
One product that every woman needs in their make-up collection is a cleansing glove. You can pick this up for only 99p here. I use this to wash my make-up brushes and all I use to clean them is some anti bacterial hand wash and it works great for cleansing brushes under some hand held hot water.
What do you think of these beauty bargains? Will you be picking any of these bargains up?
  • Beauty: Glamour Spring Edit Beauty Box Review

Every beauty box that Glamour Magazine has launched has been really popular and a quick sell out. The latest beauty box the 'Glamour Spring Edit' was released only a few days ago and I've been seeing it everywhere online. I think this box is a real stand out from the other beauty boxes around at the moment as the boxes come out only a couple of times a year and they are handpicked by Glamour magazines beauty director, Alessandra Steinherr. It's only £17.99 and it's available via Latest In Beauty.

This beauty box is worth a massive £79.65 and there sure are some amazing treats inside this box including goodies from MoroccanOil, Rosie for Autograph, Bare Minerals and Illamasqua. Firstly, how amazing is this packaging?! It's so bright and colourful and looks so good in photos (haha!)

    MoroccanOil Treatment
I absolutely love this oil. I've gone through about 3 of these and I'm so glad I've got another one in my life as I've run out. I love using this on the ends of my hair when it needs some more TLC (especially when I've just come out the shower) and it works so well with my hair.

    Rosie for Autograph Nuit Parfum
Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley's range for Marks and Spencer is all over the blogosphere right now. I absolutely love the bits from the collection which I own (you can check out the blog post here) and I think this range is amazing. I can't wait to pick up some more pieces from this range. Who doesn't want a perfume which leaves you smelling like a supermodel?! This perfume has notes of Jasmine and Rose and it's currently living in my handbag as I love it so much.

Bare Minerals BareSkin Brightening Foundation SPF20
I've come to love Bare Minerals over the past few months. My favourite product from them which I've tried is the complexion rescue and it's such a hydrating tinted moisturiser. I really wanted to try out this foundation when I first saw it on a blog (I can't remember who's!) but it looked amazing.
The sample shade in this box is quite neutral so I've tried it a few times but it's a little too light for me so I've kind of used it as a highlighter on top of my normal foundation to make my under eye areas look brighter. I'm definitely going to head to my local Bare minerals counter to pick up a sample in my shade.

Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturiser
I've tried a few Malin + Goetz products before and absolutely loved them but I've never tried out this moisturiser before. I've used this moisturiser a few times so far instead of my normal moisturiser in my evening routine and I've been really impressed with it. I use this after cleansing and toning and this moisturiser is very cooling on my face. This leaves my skin feeling really moisturised and hydrated.

    Illamasqua Precision Ink Eyeliner
This product I'm a little disappointed about but I will carry on using it non the less. When I use eyeliners I prefer using them in pen form as I find it a lot less messy to use. This product is super good as it's waterproof so if you're a girl who is looking for an eyeliner that lasts all day this product is for you.

    Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

Murad is an extremely well known brand for it's amazing skincare products. I've used this before (from a different beauty box) and I really like it. This is best used 2 to 3 times a week and this cleanser keeps your skin hydrated and cleansed and leaves your skin feeling smooth after just one use.

MUA Luxe 10 Shade Nude and Bare Palette
This was probably the most exciting product in this beauty box. I've never heard of the MUA Luxe range (I've even checked in my local Superdrug and they don't stock it) but I can imagine this is a very budget friendly brand (based on the MUA range) and it sure doesn't disappoint. This palette includes 10 shades, all nudes which as perfect for creating a nude eye look on the go.
Overall I'm so impressed with this beauty box from Glamour from Latest In Beauty. My favourite products are the Moroccan Oil, Rosie for Autograph Perfume and the MUA Luxe Nude and Bare Palette. You can pick up the Glamour Spring Edit Box for £17.99 here.
What do you think of this Glamour Spring Edit Beauty Box? Which product would you most likely to try out? Have you tried any of these products?
  • Beauty: New MAC Lipstick Haul

    MAC Myth Lipstick

What girl doesn't love a MAC Lipstick? I think they're a guilty pleasure of mine and I never go anywhere without wearing a MAC Lipstick. I'm trying to be a lot more daring with my lipstick choices and this lipstick is a lot lighter then the colours I'd usually go for but I absolutely love it.

    MAC Fluid Lipstick

Fluid is a real different MAC lipstick I'd normally go for and it's quite sheer. I think this works will on top of a darker lipstick for more of a glossy finish.

    MAC Rebel Lipstick

Rebel is a really popular shade at the moment which I've seen on the blogosphere. This shade is a lot lighter then it comes across in the bullet when swatched. I think this is the perfect shade if you're going for more of a vampy look.

    (L-R Swatches Rebel, Fluid, Myth)

What colour is your favourite? Do you have any MAC lipstick recommendations?

  • Beauty: Lancome Juicy Shakers Review #BanTheBoring

It seems that the 90's are having a real revival at the moment. Lancome's new launch is possibly one of their most exciting in a long time and it comes in the form of Lancome Juicy Shakers. Firstly these new launches from Lancome are so different in comparison to anything on the make-up market at the moment. The size of them (they're tiny) and the colours are all really bright.

The two colours I have got here are Freedom of Peach (which is the lighter shade) and Cherry Symphony. They are both such bright side which is unusual to see on the high-street.

First of all the applicator for these juicy shakers is really different as the sponge is really soft. The smell of these juicy shakers is so so nice. I'm never normally a fan of lip gloss products but I really like these as they smell so good and are really moisturising.

my package which the juicy shakers came in included these yummy jellybeans (I'm eating a few while I write this post!)

Overall I'm really impressed with this launch from Lancome. I think my favourite of the two shades is 'Freedom of Peach' as I think it works better with my skin tone. They're available at Selfridges here for £18.
What do you think of this release from Lancome? Are you feeling the 90's lip gloss rival?

  • Beauty: Neal and Wolf Haircare Range Review

I recently (about a week ago now) got the chance to try out the newest range from Neal and Wolf. I've tried the brand before (briefly) in a beauty box not so long ago and it was a heat protection spray which I loved using and the products smell so good. I'm always a little skeptical to try out a hair brand I haven't tried out before as I am sure if you've read my blog for a long time you'll know about how I suffer with hair loss (you can read the post here).

But having loved the first Neal and Wolf product I've tried I was really excited to give these products a go. Over the past 2 years since my surgery (which has led to my hair loss) I've really struggled with finding the right products for my hair, I've tried numerous expense brands which claim to do magical things to your hair and yet don't do anything but right now I'm really happy with my haircare routine. I've never really branched out of my product comfort zone but there's a couple of products from this collection from Neal and Wolf which I'll be repurchasing.

Neal and Wolf Sculpting Lotion - £12.50
If you're looking for a product which will give your hair that much needed TLC this lotion is for you. This product from Neal and Wolf is best used to help shape and hold your hair and leave it feeling textured and shiny. The best way to use this is to use about a 10p sized amount and run through your hair to leave it feeling texturised.

Neal and Wolf Intensive Care Treatment - £13.50
Is there anything better in life then a gorgeous smelling haircare product? One thing I really love about these products from Neal and Wolf is that they not only work but they smell SO good. I've used this twice so far and I've already seen some results. Once I've showered and used this my hair feels more hydrated and has so much more life to it. It says to leave it in for 3-5 minutes but I leave it on my hair about 5-10!

Neal and Wolf Intensive Care Shampoo - £14.50
If there's one thing I've learnt through my haircare journey it's worth investing in a good shampoo. I think this can make all the difference to your hair. If you're wanting for your hair to grow, a hair stylist once told me that the best way to apply your shampoo is from the root and really massage the shampoo in and this helps stimulate growth. She also told me that it's worth investing in a good quality shampoo as it makes all the difference.

Neal and Wolf Flexible Styling Hairspray - £9.50
This is a product I've only used once and that when I was off out for an event. I don't use hairspray often but when I do it has to not completely dry out your hair and it has to leave it smelling good but also holding my hairstyle. I really like this (as it smells so good) but I wouldn't recommend spending all your pennies on it unless you're a serious hairspray lover!

Neal and Wolf Heat Protection Spray - £11.50
This heat protection spray is about £5 more expensive than the usual brand I buy but I absolutely love this spray. My hair feels less dry when I use this and it feels smooth and moisturised which I absolutely love. This heat protect leaves my hair feeling glossy too (which I am definitely not used to!)

Neal and Wolf Nourishing Hair Oil - £12.95
Out of all the products I've tried from this collection I would 100% buy this nourishing hair oil once it's run out and the heat protection spray again. I absolutely love this hair oil. I've tried using so many hair oils and I've never found one I really love using. I've used this every time I've showered since I've had this and the ends of my hair feel less dry, my hair is moisturised and plus this nourishing oil has made my hair a lot more manageable to blow dry.
Overall, If you're a haircare lover like me and you are willing to spend more than average on your haircare products I'd recommend trying out Neal and Wolf. If you're looking for products which really make a difference to your hair I'd recommend the hair oil.
Have you tried out any haircare products from Neal and Wolf? Do you have any haircare recommendations?
You can purchase Neal and Wolf products here.

  • Beauty: Cohorted March Beauty Box Review

Cohorted beauty boxes are always full of such amazing products and each month there's at least 2 full-size products. However, this months box I wasn't as impressed with as usual (but that's only because I've been a subscriber for a while) but it's still an amazing box non the less for make-up lovers!

Although this box is more expensive then the other beauty boxes on the market, if you're looking to try high-end beauty products are a much cheaper price this box is ideal for you.

TheBalm Nude Tude Palette - £30
I think as this product was so popular in a previous box, this palette has been included again. I think if you're a new subscriber this is amazing as I've loved and used this palette for over 6 months and I think it's such a great palette (especially if you love your nude tones) I'll be handing this one onto a friend as I already have one, but for the newbies who are signed up to Cohorted this is a real treat in this months box.

    TheBalm Eye Primer - £5
This eyeshadow primer is tiny which means it's perfect for travelling with! I've run out of the sample I had from a previous Cohorted box so I was excited to have a new eyeshadow primer. It's such a soft, easy to apply primer and holds your eyeshadow in place all day.

Nails Inc Nail Polish in Cadogan Square - £9

One thing I'm loving at the moment is nail polish and constantly changing my nail colour! I haven't got a shade like this in my stash and so I was so excited to have another Nails Inc nail polish in my life. This is a gorgeous colour and it works so well against my skin tone.

Pixi Crayon Combo in Supernatural - £14.50

This was a product which was supposed to be in last months box but I'm excited to finally own a Pixi product (I'm sure this will be one of many) This is a nifty duo-ended crayon that can be used to line, define and tint the eye area. The deep brown side is perfect for lining your eyes and the lighter shade I use on the bottom of my eyes to line to make them look a bit bigger.

Bare Minerals Heavenly Face Brush - £25

I've loved every Bare Minerals product I've tried and so I was beyond excited to see this brush in this months box. This brush has come at the right time for me as I've fallen a bit out of love with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. This brush is large and dense and leaves my foundation looking super well blended in. Looks like this brush is my new favourite!

Overall, I really like this box I was just disappointed to see another TheBalm Nude Tude Palette in this months box but If you haven't been subscribed to Cohorted for long, this box is an absolute treat!

What do you think of this months box? Have you tried out any of these products?

  • Beauty: The Ultimate Liz Earle Gift Set

Liz Earle Skincare Essentials Normal/Combination Gift Set - John Lewis*

This skincare set may as well be called the skincare set of dreams (yes I love it that much) and it's absolutely amazing. I picked this up with a John Lewis voucher as I wanted to try out the Liz Earle Moisturiser and Liz Earle Eye Lotion. I already use the skin tonic and cleanse and polish so it's good to have some back ups for when mine run out!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - John Lewis*

This cleanse and polish is literally the dream product. I just can't stop using it, It's the product that has really made me love doing a skincare routine and looking after my skin. A lot of people use the cleanse and polish to remove make up but I like using this after using a micellar water. You squeeze about a 10p sized pump of this all over your face and soak the cloth in warm water and just wipe it off. It leaves me skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and clean.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic - John Lewis*

After using my cleanse and polish I add a few drops of this skin and tonic onto a cotton pad and swipe it all over my face to leave it feeling refreshed and toned. I love using this as it really refreshes my skin and leave it feeling hydrated.

Liz Earle Soothing Eye Lotion - John Lewis*

This is a new product in my Liz Earle stash and I'm already loving it. I have been looking for an eye product which will leave my eyes feeling more awake and reduces the look of my eyes feeling dry and puffy. I think this is going to be a regular in my skincare routine and I feel like it would work well to remove the last remaining bits of mascara.

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser in Normal/Combination - John Lewis*

This is a moisturiser I've wanted to try out for a long time. So far I'm really impressed with this. I think it's essential in your skincare routine to have a moisturiser and this one works really well on my normal/dry skin. What's great about this moisturiser is a little goes a long way.

This set costs £45 in total and in my opinion is a real bargain! The moisturiser is £20 on it's own and the average price of a Liz Earle product is £15.

Have you tried any Liz Earle products? What products do you like using in your skincare routine?

Also thanks for baring with me lately! I've come down with a bad throat infection and cold the past couple of weeks and university third year deadlines, hopefully I'll be back to normal blogging soon!
  • Beauty: The Ultimate Cream Eyeshadows

I don't know how I haven't discovered these pots of dreams sooner. They're my current obsession and they're perfect when you want to do your make up quickly and on the go. Maybelline Colour 24hrs Tattoos are a dream for busy girls on the go (who still want their make-up to look on point!)

Leather Effect Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Vintage Plum 97

This shade is perfect for when you're wanting to create a smokey eye. I love using this as a crease shade when I'm creating an evening look. It's extremely pigmented and a little of this cream eyeshadow goes a long way.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe 40

This is my second favourite shade from my colour tattoo collection as it's a great everyday shade. I love using this for when I'm wanting to go for a more casual/toned down look but still wanting to keep it natural.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze 35

If you're going to buy one of the Maybelline colour tattoos it HAS to be this one. This shade is an absolute dream. It's shimmery and bronze and it just looks so great as a shade all over your eyes. When I'm on the go/in a rush I use this shade all over my eyes with a bit of mascara and I'm good to go and I still feel super glam.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Cream Beige 98

This is probably my least favourite shade but it's still wearable. I think this shade is a lot darker than it comes across and this is a shade which would look great I think on lighter shades as it makes more of a difference.

(L-R Swatches Vintage Plum, Permanent Taupe, On and On Bronze, Creamy Beige)
Have you tried any of the Maybelline Colour Tattoos? What are your favourite cream eyeshadows?
  • Beauty: Glossybox March Beauty Box Review

If you've read my blog for the past year or so, you'll know I'm a huge fan of beauty boxes. Glossybox is another beauty box I adore. Glossybox each month is mainly high-street products and a range of full-size products and samples. This months box is called 'get glowing' and it's about pampering yourself and the products definitely don't disappoint.

Overall, I'm not as impressed with this Glossybox as I was last month but there's a few products in this months box that I really like. I've been trialling out these products a little longer then normal and I've found myself reaching for the highlighter and the luxie brush.

Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush (£10.42)

I've never heard of the brand Luxie before but I'm feeling that it's definitely a brand to watch. Who doesn't love a rose gold make-up brush?! It's dreamy! I've been using this to contour my cheekbones and it works really well when I'm going for a light make-up look as it doesn't pick up too much product.

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Serum (Full size £28.81)

This was a product from this months box I wasn't so keen on. I think it's due to being really happy with my current skincare routine. This product is infused with honey and propolis and the serum protects your skin and claims to leave you with a glowing complexion but after a few uses I noticed it made no difference to my skin.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream - (Full size £29.99)

This cream promises to regenerate the skin's appearance and to help get that healthy-looking skin you've always dreamed of. This cream exfoliates your skin and smoothes and leaves you with a healthy glowing complexion. I've tried this a few times and I love the effect it gives on my skin.

417 Catharis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo and Conditioner (Full size £16.89 each)

After receiving a variety of beauty boxes I've noticed they tend to include either a shampoo and conditioner and not both so I was delighted to see both in this months box. I've never heard of this brand before it claims to be a combination of dead sea moisture balancing minerals which leave your hair super hydrated and shiny. I haven't tried these out yet but they'll be in my hand baggage when I head off on my weekend away this weekend.

Collection Speedy Highlighter (Full size £3.99)

If you're always in a rush (or doing your make-up on the go) this product is for you. This speedy highlighter is quick and easy to apply. As you can see from the swatch this shade is a gorgeous rose gold shade and has a subtle shimmer. I think this is great for a day-time look and I apply this when I've just applied my foundation so a subtle but highlighted look. I think this is a great shade for all skin tones and it's a complete bargain at only £3.99.

What do you think of this months Glossybox? Have you tried any of these products before?

You can sign up to Glossybox here for £10 a month + £3.25 P&P.

  • Beauty: Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Eye Palette

Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Eye Palette - Fragrance Direct
I think Cargo Cosmetics are a brand which isn't talked about enough. I discovered Cargo Cosmetics towards the end of last year and I have to say their eyeshadows are incredible. I love how each of the Cargo Cosmetics palettes have such gorgeous packaging too.

Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Eye Palette - Fragrance Direct

One thing that really caught my eye about this palette is that it's quite a neutral one. I love my neutral colours and I think these are the sort of colours I use everyday for my eye make-up. I loved the variety of the shades in this palette and that there is a blue/grey shade and a green in this palette if you want to be a bit more experimental with your eye looks.

Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Eye Palette - Fragrance Direct
I've noticed lately that I'm really enjoying more autumnal colours to make my make-up looks a little bit different. I've used the shades autumn, cinnamon and rustic a lot since taking these photos! (I wanted to take some photos of this palette while it still looked super pretty!)

Cargo Cosmetics Vintage Eye Palette - Fragrance Direct

Here's a few of the shades swatched (L-R Crisp, Frolic, Rustic) which are stunning. I love the pigmentation of these shadows and they are super long wearing too.

If you haven't checked out Cargo Cosmetics you are seriously missing out on some super underrated eyeshadows!

Have you tried Cargo Cosmetics before? What do you think of this eye shadow palette?

  • Beauty: The Dream Stila Palette

If you've read my blog for a while you'll know I'm a huge fan of Stila products. Everything I've tried from Stila I've loved and their eyeshadow palettes are a total dream so I just had to add another to my collection. This new edition is the Stila Eyes In The Window Palette in Mind. I already own the Eyes in the window palette in Spirit and Soul (you can see the posts here and here).

This palette is an absolute dream, what makes a change is that this palette is made up of 12 matte colours. I like how most of these colours are quite neutral and that they would work during the day and at night.

My favourite colours in the palette watched from (L-R are observation, wit and perception) I've used this palette a few times since adding it into my collection and I've loved using this palette. This palette works really well in the crease of my eyes for eyeshadow looks.

What do you think of this palette? Have you tried any Stila eyeshadows?

  • Beauty: My First Charlotte Tilbury Purchase

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette - John Lewis*

I never thought this day would come, the day I finally owned something by Charlotte Tilbury. For the past year every time I've been near a Charlotte Tilbury stand I've had to serious refrain myself as I just felt like I couldn't justify spending £38 on 4 eyeshadows (yes £38!!) I did look at the lipsticks which I'm desperate to try but even those were £20+ which is a lot when you're a student (even if you're obsessed with beauty products!)

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette - John Lewis*

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this palette is? It is so dreamy! I was lucky enough to receive a John Lewis voucher and so I went ahead and purchased this palette. I didn't think I'd love the colours as much as I do and since having this palette in my life I've worn it everyday. After priming my eyes with my Urban Decay Primer Potion I use the lightest shade over my eyes and then the burgundy shade in my crease/outer corners and then I darken that with the khaki shade and then add in the bronze shade for some sparkle.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette - John Lewis*

When swatched, these eyeshadows aren't as pigmented as my Urban Decay eyeshadows but once used over an eyeshadow primer these eyeshadows work so well. If I'm going for a more natural eye look I use the lightest shade over my lids and then the khaki shade for a hint of colour in my outer corners and crease. I didn't think I'd love four eyeshadows as much as I do and if you're an eyeshadow lover (like myself) I'd recommend picking this palette up! The next product on my Charlotte Tilbury wish list is definitely the Golden Goddess palette.

Have you tried any Charlotte Tilbury products? Have you got any high-end beauty recommendations?
  • Beauty: The Brand To Watch - Morphe

Morphe 12NB Palette - Beauty Bay
Morphe 35N Eyeshadow Palette - Beauty Bay
Morphe Brush Set - Beauty Bay
Morphe is a brand you've probably read a lot about recently on beauty and lifestyle blogs and it really is a brand to watch. I've only seen the brand available on Beauty Bay and so after months of wanting to try out this brand I bit the bullet and went for it. One thing immediately I noticed about Morphe is that this brand is really affordable. None of the products exceed a crazy amount at all and most products are under £20 and the brushes are £4-£8 (around about) each.

Morphe 12NB Palette - Beauty Bay
Morphe 35N Eyeshadow Palette - Beauty Bay
Morphe Brush Set - Beauty Bay
What I've heard about the most from other beauty blogs is the Morphe eyeshadow palettes. My favourite out of these two is the 12NB palette so far. It's very small and compact and the shades are so wearable. The colours in this palette are a mixture of shimmer and matte which makes this a perfect palette to take your eye make-up from day to night.

Morphe 12NB Palette - Beauty Bay
Every shade in this palette is incredibly wearable. I think this is such a bargain at only £11.95. I've used the matte shades as a base on top of my eyeshadow primer and then the middle shades as an all over shade and then the darker shades I'll use in my crease.

Morphe 35N Eyeshadow Palette - Beauty Bay

If you're a massive eyeshadow lover you'll absolutely adore this palette. It has a mixture of neutral colours, slate colours and a few bright colours in here. All which I think go well with my brown eyes. This palette is going to be used more of a crease colour palette but I'll also use these eyeshadows wet to intensify my eyeshadow looks.

Last of all it's this Morphe brush set (currently sold out but you can find a similar set here) and it was only £14. These brushes are perfect for travelling and you get a real variety in this set. You get a powder brush, blush brush, foundation, lip and eyeshadow brushes which is all you need to create perfect make-up looks on the go!
What do you think of Morphe? Which of these products do you want to try out the most? Have you tried any Morphe products?
  • Beauty: Look Incredible April Beauty Box Review

Just when you think that the Look Incredible beauty boxes couldn't get any better they pull it out of the bag another month in a row. Each brand in this months April edition is well established they include nothing but full size products too what's not to love? It's great to see a more make-up based beauty box and you can read reviews from previous boxes here and here.

At only £18.99 for a month to receive a box full of full sized products this box is an absolute steal. This months box is worth £81.99 and includes Laura Geller, Smashbox, L'Oreal, Urban Decay and Velvet 59. What I really like about Look Incredible beauty boxes is that they allow me to try out brands I wouldn't have necessarily tried before including Smashbox and Laura Geller.

Laura Geller Spackle Undereye Eye Primer - £20
I've heard so much about Laura Geller products but I've never actually tried any of the collection. I've heard so much about the baked blushes and mascara. My Urban Decay primer is on it's last legs (cause I use it everyday) so I was delighted to see this in this months box. What's really interesting about this primer is the tip at the front which allows you to add the product directly onto your eyes. I love how this is a cream based primer as a lot of eye primers out there are silicone based.

Smashbox Blush Soft Light Duo - £15
This product has actually recently been discontinued from the Smashbox range and I have no idea why as it's gorgeous. You can use this duo as a highlighter but also as a blusher and who doesn't love a 2 in 1 product? I think the highlighter is my favourite out of this product as it's really pigmented and very buildable.

(Urban Decay lip swatch, Laura Geller eye primer, Smashbox highlighter and blusher)
Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Colour - £14
As you all know from reading my blog (especially if you're a regular reader) that I'm a huge fan of Urban Decay. I recently did a post about my full Urban Decay make-up routine (which you can check out here). For once though, I'm not as in love with an Urban Decay product as it's glittery but this is a great product for those of you who love a bit of glitter!

Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes Mascara - £19.99
I've never heard of this brand before but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect mascara. The packaging for this mascara reminds me a lot of the Benefit mascaras. After doing a bit of research, Velvet 59 is a US brand and is vegan and cruelty free. The wand on this mascara is really unique and it's perfect for adding volume to your lashes.

L'Oreal Nutri Gold Silky Day Cream - £13
This product will probably go to my mum as I'm a die hard Liz Earle fan but looking at this cream I might be changing my mind! This cream smells amazing, I've never tried any skincare products from L'Oreal but I'm definitely willing to give this a go. This cream leaves your skin feeling silky soft without appearing greasy. I've just used this on some of the dry patches on my face and my skin is feeling really moisturised.

Overall I'm really impressed with the contents of this months beauty box from Look Incredible. I think if you're a beauty lover and you're looking for something different, this box is for you and it's not breaking the bank as it's only £18.99 each month. My favourite product from this months box is definitely the eye primer but I'm really impressed with the Smashbox blush soft light duo as well.
You can sign up to Look Incredible beauty boxes here for £18.99 a month.

What do you think of this months Look Incredible box? Have you tried out any of these products?

  • Lifestyle: What's happened to fashion blogging?

(An old blog header from around 2010)
I first began this blog (It wasn't called fashion-train at this point) when I was 15 years old. I was a fashion obsessed teenager, obsessed with buying clothes and wearing different outfits and my fashion bible was reading Elle magazine. I began writing this blog to my Uncle moving away to the other side of the world and he updated my family with what he was doing through a travel blog. Soon after I thought why not begin one of these blog things about fashion? Little did I know for the next 6 years blogging would evolve into an industry in it's own right, where popular bloggers wrote books, had beauty lines and product ranges.
After all this time calling myself a 'fashion' blogger I've become stuck in a rut. It's not because I'm not interested in fashion as I am in the final few weeks of my fashion promotion degree, it's simply because the fashion blogging industry has changed.

(blog photo taken with my mobile phone in 2010)
I no longer find myself posing for photos by my garden wall as now I feel that my attempt at getting a good photo isn't good enough. I'm a typical 21 year old girl, loves having a few cocktails, works hard and hanging out with friends and my boyfriend. I'm a student, I lead a busy life and I blog when I can. Blogging has become a place where people can now call their hobby a full-time job. They have photographer on call, stick thin figures and live in London so they can take over exposed photos of strangers doorsteps as it's a 'pretty backdrop'.
When I first began blogging I spent everything I earned from my part time job at a local football stadium, on clothes (usually in Primark as that's all I could afford) I was obsessed with trying new outfits, experimenting with new styles and documenting it on my blog was an ideal form of expression for me. Over the next couple of years it became a community, readers were loyal (and some still are) and everyone was kind and supportive to each other and spent time reading each others blogs and getting to know each other. For the first time in my life I felt like I belonged. I finally found 'friends' interested in fashion just as much as I was.

(I was around 16 here and I'd just discovered what a tripod was haha!)
Around a year later (maybe not even that) brands began to email me. I never knew why they were contacting me and why they'd have any interest in a 16 year old girl. I went to my first blogging event and I felt like I'd discovered a new world, we were treated like VIP's today, I travelled down to Leicester (I had to bring my mum as a chaperone) and that's when I knew maybe my little hobby was getting me noticed in the industry I'd worked so hard to get into.
Fast forward around a few years and it's become an industry where blogs are exactly like magazines. To be a 'successful' blogger you have to have a youtube channel. The genuine side of blogging is lost, as is the authenticity (I even based my dissertation for university on this) The content you think is genuine is probably paid for and when it comes to working with brands and companies all they look for is numbers. I know I'm never going to be a 'big blogger' and I'll continue to blog for as long as it makes me happy and I feel inspired.

I'm not saying I'm not a 'fashion blogger' as that's where this blog began. I just don't feel comfortable posting photos of my outfits when so many blogs are like magazine spreads and I do not have the means for that. I am not a size 8, hair down to my knees and a model looking face and a photographer on call. I made this blog to focus on what I'm interested in and at the moment I'm really loving beauty blogging. I'll still probably post the odd fashion post though as that's where this blog began.
I'm hoping one day I'll wake up and I'll fall in love with fashion blogging again but for the time being, it's not something I'm enjoying and I'd rather focus my blog on content I'm truly interested in to be as real and genuine with you guys, my readers.
I hope you liked this more honest, personal post. I'd love to know your thoughts.
  • Travel: 3 Days in Cologne, Germany

If there's one thing I really enjoy it's travelling. Since summer 2014 I've been to New Zealand (you can check out posts here and here), I've spent some time in Australia and visited the gorgeous Kim (you can check out her blog here) and my posts from my trip here and here. I've been away with my boyfriend to Dublin, Crete, Amsterdam and now my boyfriend (being the good egg he is) surprised me with a trip to Germany.

I've been so stressed lately with the final few weeks of my final year of university (and still am) and this trip genuinely couldn't have come at a better time as sometimes to really relax you just need to take some time out for a bit and go somewhere completely new.
On Easter Sunday we made the trip over to Cologne and it couldn't have been a sunnier day. Once we arrived in Cologne we went to the Cathedral and it was beautiful. I have genuinely never seen a Cathedral so tall and inside the stained glass windows were amazing.

    Striped Jumper - New Look
After heading back to the hotel (and napping) we headed out for the evening and we ended up in a quirky pub but there was a lot of puppet around (which were a bit odd!) the restaurant had such lovely wine but the food was slightly questionable. I've been living in this striped jumper at the moment and it goes so well with black skinny jeans for a comfortable but stylish look.
We finished the evening with more drinks (well cocktails) for a place nearby called Kitty Chai. I'd highly recommend their cocktails as they were really yummy.

The next day we woke up and went straight to the chocolate museum as it wasn't set to be a great day weather wise. It was so much fun and we tried some melted Lindt and it was so nice. I'd highly recommend doing this if you're ever in Cologne or passing through it.

While we were walking through the city (once the weather had cleared up) we came across a love lock bridge and I really wanted to add a lock to the bridge but there was nowhere we came across to pick up a lock! There was so many love locks on the bridge and it looked so nice walking along it.

Scarf - Topshop, Coat - ASOS (sold out but similar here), Bag - Shoeaholics, Jeans - New Look
After the chocolate museum we went up to Koln triangle and the views were amazing over Cologne (as you can see) and loved it. It was only about 3 euros to get up to the top so it's well worth checking out.

Here we just some of the amazing views we saw and at this point the weather had cleared up a lot as it had been raining all day. We went out for dinner and had drinks again which was so nice and our third day in Cologne was spent wandering around the shops (as the first two days we were there they were both bank holidays!) and it rained all day. We found the most amazing restaurant for dinner called Burgerlich which I would recommend going to. Who doesn't love cocktails and burgers?

We finished our trip with a walk around the Rhine and it was so nice to see Cologne lit up at night.
If you're looking for a city break which doesn't break the bank I'd highly recommend heading over to Cologne. I think our flights were about £60 return (total win) and accommodation and food were super reasonable too. I loved my 3 days there and can't wait to head back to Germany and see more of it's famous cities!
Have you ever been to Cologne? Have you been to Germany? Have you got any city break destinations to recommend?
  • Beauty: My Pamper Evening Routine

If there's one thing I make time for each week it's a pamper session. It's normally on a day where I've not felt so good and need a pick me up. My pamper routine has changed so much in the past few months and I'm so happy with it right now. I use a mixture of products and they leave me feeling refreshed, my skin feeling moisturised and leaves me feeling relaxed.

With being in my final few weeks of my third year of university taking that time out to have a break and some TLC is so important (and it stops me from having a crazy stressed breakdown!) So normally about once a week (or around every 10 days) my pamper evening begins with cooking my favourite food. I won't show you this cause it's already been demolished but I had a chicken BBQ pizza and one of those chocolate puddings with the gooey chocolate inside (which are a total dream!) and a glass of wine of course!

After cooking some yummy food, my pamper routine begins with taking my make-up off and I use a mixture of Garnier Micellar Water and then I finish taking my make-up off by using the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I leave my skin for around 10 minutes at this point and then use a cotton pad and dab a few drops of my Liz Earle Skin Tonic followed by my Liz Earle Moisturiser to finish off my skincare routine.
Some of my favourite products to use at the moment are from Champneys. I've been so impressed with their products and they are a firm staple in my shower (and pamper) routine and such good value for money too. One of my goals for the coming years is to book into a Champneys Spa and have a proper spa weekend!

After using my moisturiser I moisturise my hands using the Champneys Harmonious Hands Restoring Hand and Nail Cream. This is a total bargain of a product as it's only £3! I have one which lives in my handbag too and it smells amazing. Depending on how busy I've been I sometimes use the Champneys Harmonious Hands Restoring Hand Scrub which is perfect for when my hands are feeling a little dry.

At this point I normally turn on Netflix and watch either how to get away with murder or turn on the good wife (depending how I'm feeling) pour a glass of wine, sometimes have a bit of chocolate and just chill. I like painting my nails so much at the moment and my current favourite combination is Nails Inc Marylebone Mews and to let my nails set super quickly (and don't smudge) I use Elegant Touch Nail Apothecary Top Coat.

After a couple of hours of Netflix, wine and painting my nails it's time for bed and before I head to sleep my favourite thing to use at the moment is the Champneys Heavenly Days Sleep Pillow Mist and this stuff is a total dream. I use a few sprays on my pillow and around my bed to ensure I am feeling totally relaxed. This may seem like a total OTT skincare routine but trust me it works!
Have you tried any of these products? What do you like doing to pamper when you're feeling super stressed?

  • Beauty: Birchbox April Beauty Box Review ft Rifle Paper Co

This months Birchbox is definitely a treat. I don't want to throw the box away I want to keep it forever and just stare at it (cause it's so pretty). This months theme is very fitting as it's the start of spring and Birchbox have teamed up with US stationery brand Rifle Paper Co. As usual Birchbox just carries on impressing me each month! This month includes Benefit, Balance Me and Parlor.

I've been a Birchbox subscriber for about a year now and their boxes each month just get better and better. Being the beauty junkie that I am, I'm really surprised with Birchbox as I have never (or very very rarely) seen the same product by the same brand inside. I could be getting this wrong though because I do love a beauty box!

    Kueshi Footcare Cream - £12

When don't your feet need a little bit of TLC? When I'm at university I walk everywhere and comfy shoes are a must for me, but sometimes even when wearing comfy shoes your feet will need some looking after. I've never heard of Kueshi before but I popped this cream on before I went to bed last night on my feet, put some socks on while I slept and this morning woke up with super soft feet.

Balance Me Tinted Wonder Eye Cream - RRP £20

For the past couple of years I've been a massive fan of Balance Me products. If there's one skincare product I haven't really invested in, it's an eye cream. I know your eyes are very important to look after but mine seem to be quite sensitive. This eye cream not only brightens and conceals those dark circles (for when 8 hours sleep aren't good enough) this eye cream also leaves your under eye area feeling hydrated and it helps battle those signs of ageing.

Benefit Cosmetics Dew The Hoola - RRP £22.50

One thing I really love about Birchbox is the fact that it's allowed me to try out so many Benefit products over the year. I'm always a little reluctant to splash out on Benefit products and so this helps me try them at a fraction of the price. Benefit's best selling bronzer now comes in liquid form (yay!) I've tried this a couple of times and I use this once I've applied my foundation to give my skin a more sun-kissed glow.

    Parlor Detangling Leave-in Conditioner - RRP £17

I've tried this product before from another beauty box (I'm pretty sure it wasn't Birchbox) and I actually really liked it. I use this on the days when I have a shower and don't use a hair mask as I only use that about once a week. I love how soft and hydrated it leaves my hair.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in Black - RRP £11

I'm quite impressed with this addition to this months Birchbox as fashion designer Cynthia Rowley has turned her skills to make-up for this Birchbox-exclusive make-up line. This works really well as a liner but if you smudge it out (especially in the outer corners!)

What do you think of this months Birchbox? Have you tried any of these products before?

You can sign up to Birchbox for £10 plus £2.95 P&P here.
  • Beauty: My Current Top 5 Beauty Products

It feels like a lifetime ago since I last posted about my current top 5 make-up products. My favourites have changed over the past few months as I've tried new make-up products but I'm really happy with the products I am using at the moment. I've definitely turned (even more) into a make-up lover!

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette - John Lewis

This palette from Charlotte Tilbury is a new edition to my make-up bag and I've worn it everyday since I've had it. I love using a mixture of the top left and right hand shades for a daytime look and then I use the bottom left and right hand shades (as well as the top) for a nighttime look. It's the perfect palette for when you're on the go. You can check my full post (and swatches) about the palette here.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - John Lewis

I've not touched any of my other mascaras since I picked this one up from Urban Decay. It is a total dream and genuinely the best mascara I've ever used. I did my make-up with this mascara for a blog post here and it really does make a difference to my lashes.

NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette - Boots

The most recent edition to my make-up collection is this highlight and contour palette from NYX. I absolutely love it. I think the contour shades work well for my skin tone and the top left and top right highlight shades work really well. I wouldn't recommend this palette if you have really pale skin as the contour shades might be too dark. I actually picked this up in a drugstore in Germany (you can read about my trip here) which stocked NYX and I was buzzing as it worked out about £4 cheaper!

Barry M Nude Lip Liner - Boots

This lip liner from Barry M is my current go to for a nude lip teamed up with MAC honey love lipstick. I love how this lip liner is really moisturising and pigmented and it goes with honey love lipstick perfectly. This lip liner doesn't break the bank either as it's only £2.99! (winner!)

Pixi Glow Tonic - HQ Hair

Lastly, it's the Pixi Glow Tonic. I didn't think this product would be worth the hype but after reading what feels like 100 reviews before picking this up, I've been really impressed with it. If you're into your skincare and making sure your make-up is well and truly off your face and you want to leave your face feeling clean and exfoliated, this product is for you.

What do you think of my current top 5 beauty products? have you got any beauty recommendations?
  • Beauty: Look Incredible Deluxe April Beauty Box Review

    Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box*
The Look Incredible beauty box is a box I'm always SO Impressed with. I remember being contacted from them about 6 months ago and the company has grown from strength to strength ever since. I feel so grateful to work with such a great brand and being able to see it grow. You may have already seen my post this month on my blog here about their April beauty box (which is £18.99 and available here) and I really loved it! I am using the Smashbox compact pretty much everyday at the moment.

TheBalm Bon Voyage Palette No.2 - RRP £37.50

This palette I was excited to see in this months box but being the beauty junkie I am, I already had it in my stash and you can check out my full review on the palette here. I will be passing this on to my best friend as she was eyeing this up when I used it before around her! One thing I love about this palette is it's an all in one palette. I love the highlighter (it's very similar if not the same as the Mary Lou Manizer) and the bronzer is a matte bronzer.

TheBalm Bon Voyage Palette No.2 - RRP £37.50

I much prefer matte bronzers as they are so much easier to use then shimmery ones. This product alone is worth more then the RRP of the deluxe box! I was so excited to see TheBalm in this box and hopefully it won't be the last time TheBalm features in Look Incredible beauty boxes.

    Bare Minerals Multi-Wrinkle Repair - RRP £39

As much as I love the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, I think my skin is not quite at the point where I need to start using 'anti-wrinkle' products as I'm 21 as it's recommended you use anti-wrinkle products from your late twenties to help prevent the signs of ageing.

    Benefit Gimme Brow - Medium/Deep Brown - RRP £18.50

I was beyond excited to see this brow product from Benefit in this months box. I remember being sent this to review about 2 years ago now (I was so excited to be working with Benefit at the time) and I used this until it dried up. I loved using this and it really helped me do my eyebrows so quickly but being a student I couldn't justify the £18.50 price tag so I've used dupes ever since. If you've got dark brown hair/brown hair this product from Benefit is a total DREAM on your eyebrows.

Estee Lauder Lip Conditioner - RRP £16

I've never actually tried any products from Estee Lauder before but I'm really impressed with using this so far. It's taken over from my old lip balm as it leaves my lips feeling conditioned and ready for a layer of lipstick. My lips also feel so much smoother after using this.

Overall I am really impressed with this months deluxe beauty box and my favourite product is the Benefit Gimme Brow followed by TheBalm Bon Voyage palette. I think this box is incredible value for the money and if you fancy treating yourself in the next few weeks I'd definitely sign up!

Have you tried any of these products? Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes?

  • Beauty: Glossybox April Beauty Box Review

    Glossybox April Edition*

Every beauty box on the market seems to be upping their game at the moment and no matter what box has come through the post this month I seem to be impressed. This months Glossybox covers everything from teeth, nails, lips, brows and skincare.

Swiss Smile Whitening Toothpaste - £28.95 (full size)

The first product in this months box is a full size whitening toothpaste from Swiss Smile. This toothpaste will remove any stains and gently restore your teeth to their natural whiteness. The whitening formula in the toothpaste will brighten your teeth without damaging your teeth. I've used this a few times and I am really liking using this so far.

Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner - Full size (£22)

I'm so impressed with this brow liner in this months box. One side of the pencil is a defining shade to flatten all hair colours and the other side has a brightening highlighter to enhance the arch on your eyebrow. I really like using this as it's very natural and you can add as many layers as you want to your eyebrows.

Next Make Me Beautiful Lip Chubby - £8

I've only tried the bronzer from Next before but I've been impressed with it. I was excited to see Next beauty in this months box and I can't wait to try out more products from the brand. I haven't tested this lipstick out for a night out yet but it appears to be soft and moisturising when I watched this lip pencil on my hand. I think the colour is really striking and it reminds me of a MAC colour I have similar (but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head!)

The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil - (full size £28)

This sample is very small but sometimes that's all you need as a little goes a long way. This oil is one of The Body Shops best selling products. I've used this oil once so far and I've used it at night instead of using moisturiser and it's left my skin feeling nourished and soft.

Leighton Denny Expert Nails Miracle Mist - (Full size £12)

This is another full size product in this months Glossybox and it's no doubt my favourite. I'm someone who absolutely loves painting their nails but I hate spending so much time waiting for my nails to dry. Today when I was painting my nails I tried this out (a small spray on each nail) and this works like a dream. My nails were dry in seconds and smudge free. I am so impressed with this!
This is a must have for girls (like me) who love painting their nails but they don't always have a lot of time.

What do you think of this months Glossybox? Have you tried any of these products?
  • Fashion: My SS/16 Hero Piece #Intufashion

Black Polo Neck Top - Topshop
    Striped Jumpsuit - New Look
Grey Oversized Coat - Pretty Little Thing
    Bag - Shoeaholics
    Sunglasses - Raybans at ASOS
    Nike Trainers - ASOS

Spring/Summer is finally here and I couldn't be more excited. I am so over wearing over-sized jumpers and wrapping up in about 10 layers and overheating on my walk to university. When it comes to a new season it's all about finding those hero pieces. When I mean hero pieces I mean the clothes which will get you through the whole season which you can wear in more than just one way.

Black Polo Neck Top - Topshop
    Striped Jumpsuit - New Look
Grey Oversized Coat - Pretty Little Thing
    Bag - Shoeaholics
    Sunglasses - Raybans at ASOS
    Nike Trainers - ASOS

When I live at home, my first point of call to shop is Intu Potteries. If I want to go on a day trip though Intu Trafford Centre is only about a 45 minute drive away. I felt so lucky to be part of their latest campaign which is 'The Intu Style Garden'. If you live in Stoke the event is on from April 7th-April 18th and you will be able to see all the latest trends to help you keep your style on point for the upcoming months (you can read all the details about the event here) The event at the Potteries is part of a touring event of all Intu centres which is going on till the end of April.

Black Polo Neck Top - Topshop
    Striped Jumpsuit - New Look
Grey Oversized Coat - Pretty Little Thing
    Bag - Shoeaholics
    Sunglasses - Raybans at ASOS
    Nike Trainers - ASOS

Some of the latest trends include Imperial Red, Soda Pink, Monochrome, Nauticaluxe and Boho Bandit. When it comes to my personal style I just had to go for the Nauticaluxe trend. Being a fan of all things stripes how could I not? My first stop to find that SS16 Hero Piece was a trip to New Look and I picked up this blue striped jumpsuit and I'm a little bit in love. I've teamed it with a black polo neck and my favourite nike trainers for a casual, teamed down look for a day at University. I'm wearing one of my favourite coats which is from Pretty Little Thing.

Black Polo Neck Top - Topshop
    Striped Jumpsuit - New Look
Grey Oversized Coat - Pretty Little Thing
    Bag - Shoeaholics
    Sunglasses - Raybans at ASOS
    Nike Trainers - ASOS

This is the sort of outfit I wear when I want to feel stylish but still comfortable and this jumpsuit is perfect for that. If you've been reading my blog a long time you know I love all things which are striped so this is the perfect new addition to my wardrobe.

    Striped Jumpsuit - New Look
    Shoes - Topshop

I didn't have everything I wanted in my university house to complete the whole look to how I wanted to style this jumpsuit but I'll tell you anyway! I'm wearing this jumpsuit with some low heel peep-toe shoes (which I live in as they're so comfortable) and I'd team this outfit with a nude clutch bag and a statement necklace to finish off the look.

    Striped Jumpsuit - New Look
    Shoes - Topshop

What I really love about this jumpsuit is that you can bend over in it (so many jumpsuits these days are so tight!!) and it's so so comfortable. I'm also amazing at how cheap this was as it was only £20. What's great about still being a student is that New Look currently have 20% off for students so I saved a few pennies on this jumpsuit too!

What do you think of this jumpsuit? What is your hero piece this season to wear?

  • Lifestyle: 7 Things I Don't Enjoy About Being A Blogger

(photos from my RosiexAutograph post which you can check out here)

Impromptu blog posts are the best sort of blog posts right? I recently posted about my thoughts about fashion blogging and how it's changed compared to when I first started blogging. If you missed that post you can check it out here. I had so many tweets about this post and a few of you left comments too and it was so nice for you all to give me feedback and for you to agree with some of the comments I made.

I've been a 'blogger' for 6 years now (yes I'm ancient in blogging land) and I'm proud of what my little space on the internet has done. I was lucky enough to be invited on a press trip to Copenhagen a couple of years ago and I never thought my little blog could do something like that as I love travelling. Blogging does have it's downsides and the expectations about being a blogger these days have just got higher and higher since I first began this blog. So I thought I'd share with you all today 7 things I don't enjoy about being a blogger.

(photos from my RosiexAutograph post which you can check out here)

    1. The pressure to lead the 'perfect life' - With this blog I be as honest as possible and you'll only read about the experiences I had, beauty products I love and fashion items i've been wearing. Blogging right now has become quite unrealistic in the sense all people think bloggers lead 'perfect' lives as that's all you see on an Instagram feed or photos posted on a blog. I'm a final year student, I have 5 weeks left of my degree, I spend my life in the library and I don't cook myself fresh meals all the time sometimes a microwave meal is all I have time for. I'm not leading the life of riley and avocado on toast every morning.

    2. To try all the new beauty products going - There are new release of beauty products every week. I think because your readers think you're a blogger you get sent all these things for free, but you really don't. 90% of the products you see on my blog are products I've picked up myself (unless it's a beauty box as I'm an ambassador for them) and I only feature products I like. I don't have endless amounts of money to spend £15 on that latest foundation release.

    3. That you have to have all the latest gadgets - Bloggers nowadays all seem to have the latest cameras, iPhone 6S, go pros the lot. But what if you don't earn that sort of money? You just have to make do. I have an iPhone 5S and the front camera doesn't work properly, you just have to work with the products you have. What I don't like is the pressure to have all the latest gadgets just to keep up with the latest trends.

    4. That you don't feel pressure to create content - As much as I love writing content for my blog, featuring products and brands I love I do feel pressurised sometimes. To write about the beauty box as it's come out two days ago, to write about the latest product release I have just because nobody else has yet. What I've learnt is that you should just go with what you want to do. Blog because you love it, write content you enjoy because if you don't enjoy writing it your readers won't enjoy reading it.

(photos from my RosiexAutograph post which you can check out here)

    5. That you don't have down days - Since beginning this blog I've had major surgery twice, been diagnosed with depression and anxiety along with having many other illnesses along the way. I'm not ashamed of it, that's life. I try and show the best bits of my life on this blog but sometimes you will have a down day, nobody is perfect. What you read online is a small percentage of what's happened in someones day.

    6. To have a photographer at hand to take outfit photos - I have and always used a tripod when it's come to taking outfit photos on my blog in the past couple of years. I don't have the time (or money) to have a photographer, find pretty locations to take those instagrammable outfit shots.

    7. That you don't disclose your sponsored content - Firstly, I feel so lucky every I receive an email to work with a brand/company on a sponsored content basis. You don't receive the same amount of money for each post you do and it varies for up to 90 working days to whether you'll receive that money. I spend a lot more money working on my blog, buying products to try out and feature so anything I earn from this hobby I love is a bonus. I disclose all content which is a sponsored opportunity.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and that some of you can relate to these points!
