    Dinosuar Dress

    SHOP THE POST

Who remembers my The Whitepepper Addiction from a couple of years ago? Yeah it shows no signs of slowing down. I picked up this super cute Dinosaur dress from the brand just before I headed off to Japan from the Topshop website! I love both dinosaurs, smocks and The Whitepper so obviously I had to get it! I adore their smock style dresses as they flatter my figure and look super duper cute at the same time.

I don’t think it’s in stock anymore on the Topshop site but you can pick it up directly from their online shop still. For reference mine is a small, but I wish I picked medium as hopefully it’d be a bit longer. I feel like the hemlines on The Whitepepper stuff is a bit hit and miss, sometimes its longer sometimes it’s shorter!

Also, talk about throwing it back old school with these self shot outfit post? Throwback Thursday n’all!

Beauty: Topshop Beauty at Feel Unique

    Topshop Beauty The Foundation
    Topshop Beauty Cheek Jelly
    Topshop Nails
A few weeks ago I opened up this amazing parcel from Feel Unique. As time goes on I'm becoming more of a fan of Feel Unique. Whenever i'm wanting some beauty related for someones birthday present it's the first place I stop and look. I love how whenever you type for a discount code for Feel Unique online there's normally a 10% off code or offer of some sort as well.

    Topshop Nails
I've never been the biggest fan of Topshop nail polishes but this dark purple didn't disappoint. It's been a great colour for when I want to be a little bit more bold with my nails. It lasts a few days without chipping too!

    Topshop Beauty The Foundation
Topshop foundation is something I'd never thought I would try. I'm used to MAC foundations which don't come out the bottle this thin but it was so good to try a new foundation. Once blended in this foundation was quite sheer coverage so on days when I don't feel like wearing as much make up!

    Beauty: March Make-up Favourites

The Glam Guide by Fleur De Force - Amazon
Naked 1 Palette - Feel Unique*
Mac Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Soap and Glory Solar Powder - Boots
These past 6 months or so I've been loving all things beauty. I picked up Fleur De Force's book for a bargain price on Amazon and it's such a great book. If you're a student with an NUS extra card use your discount for an extra 5% off if you want to purchase the book. It's a light hearted read with beauty tips and fashion tips and I love flicking through it with a cup of peppermint tea.
I have been in love with the Naked 1 Palette ever since I've got it. It's such a gorgeous eyeshadow palette and with an eyeshadow primer the colour lasts all day. I love mixing the shadows together to create a smokey eye and I love the effect the Naked 1 Palette gives.

Naked 1 Palette - Feel Unique*
Mac Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Soap and Glory Solar Powder - Boots
Since purchasing Velvet Teddy at the airport on the way to Dublin I've worn it most days. It's the most gorgeous colour and I find that it really suits my skin tone.
The last favourite of mine for this month is the Soap and Glory Solar Powder. It's a gorgeous shade for a bronzer and I use it not only as a bronzer but also a contour. I really like this bronzer, I picked it up on the Boots 3 for 2 a few weeks ago. You can't beat a good offer!

Fashion: Monochrome With A Hint Of Grey

    Poloneck Top - Jane Norman*
Waterfall Coat - Pretty Little Thing*
    Scarf - Zara
Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing*
    Skinny Jeans - ASOS*
    Boots - Chockers Shoes*
In this outfit post are pretty much all of my favourite items of clothing to wear at the moment. I recently received a gorgeous package from Jane Norman. I was a massive fan of Jane Norman when I was younger, did anyone else use to carry the Jane Norman bags to high school?! I think Jane Norman have a great new feel to the brand and this top is a perfect summer staple. It's a great fit and looks amazing with my new skinny black jeans from ASOS!

Waterfall Coat - Pretty Little Thing*
    Scarf - Zara
Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing*
    Skinny Jeans - ASOS*
    Boots - Chockers Shoes*
These jeans have a slight leather look feel to them which is so different from a simple normal pair of black skinny jeans. I think the rips on the jeans give the outfit a more edgy look and makes my legs stand out a bit! I've teamed this top and skinny jeans with my favourite scarf I picked up in Dublin while I was away with my boyfriend. If you haven't read the blog post of what we got up to you can read it here.

I've been a little bit in love with this coat too. You can see other ways I've styled this post in here and here. It's great to just throw on with absolutely any outfit and I've had so many compliments on this coat. I love how on Pretty Little Thing they have this coat in so many other gorgeous colours here and the coat is a complete style steal as it's only £30!
This is definitely my favourite outfit I've posted this year and since taking these outfit photos i've worn this outfit a few times and had some lovely compliments.

Fashion: This Weeks High-Street Picks #34 - Pale Blues and Stripes

Asymmetric Jersey Midi Skirt - Missguided
    Oversized Striped Shirt - Topshop
Square Neck Stripe Top - Topshop
Pinstripe Knot Front Crop Top - Pretty Little Thing
Pinstripe Palazzo Trousers - Pretty Little Thing
Powder Blue Shift Dress - Missguided
    Vintage Hayden Jeans - Topshop
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop

This summer I think that midi skirts will be a huge trend again. I would definitely pick up a black midi skirt like this one to make such simple outfits you'll wear this summer look extra trendy. I'd team this skirt with a pair of flat shoes, sandals or even a low pair of heels! Oversized shirts are a trend I think is here to stay. I love wearing them with jeans, leggings for a laid back casual look.

One site I'm loving way too much at the moment is Pretty Little Thing. Their clothes are such good quality. (unlike some other online retailers) and the clothes they stock are so on trend! I fell a little bit in love with this striped crop top and palazzo trousers and I think they'll be absolutely perfect for summer! Baggy jeans like these ones are everywhere right now. I'd team them up with a plain white shirt and these Topshop shoes for a show stopping, laid back trendy look.

    Pink Ombré

So a couple of months back I collaborated with LIVE to switch up my hair from it’s usual messy blonde brown roots look for something a little fresher (and colourful!) for spring. LIVE Color makes the whole process so easy to do so I thought why not just go for it. Colour is a fun way of freshening up your look at home!

For my hairdo' I decided to refresh my blonde roots with LIVE Absolute Platinum and add some pink to the tips using a mix of Ultra Brights Pillar Box Red and conditioner. It’s a really fresh update for spring that just works so well with my everyday look. As I wear pretty monochromatic outfits most of the time so using my hair as a coloured accessory is cool and chic.

As a blogger I always get comments on my hair and it was really exciting to see how my audience reacted to my pink tips. They all loved it, which was a real confidence boost!

I’m super excited to be part of the LIVE Lookbook - just a fun and exciting project to be part of. Especially with all the other girls looking extra fab and rocking a variety of cool hair shades. It is going to be awesome seeing how everyone has added colour to their hair in different ways! Ombré seems to be super popular choice too!

I cant wait to share with you more updates about this project so keep an eye out for what might coming up.

    Easy Summer DIY's

This post is SPONSORED by Gallo Family Vineyards

A couple of weeks ago, I took part in a really exciting photoshoot which I teased over on my Instagram and I’m pleased to finally be able to tell you all about it and show you some of the shots we got from the day!

This spring I’ve teamed up with Gallo Family Vineyards to show you some of my 2015 Must-Have style hacks inspired by the refreshing and sweet Moscato and Pink Moscato. I’ll be showing you a few ways to update your summer wardrobe with the help of some little simple to follow DIY’s. All these items are things you might already have lying around or can pick up off eBay or your local craft store, so it’s a great way to update your wardrobe ahead of the new season!

    DIP DYE VEST

To take a plain vest to the next level you can do some super cool dip dye! It’s a fun take on the tie dye trend but more subtle and just as easy. Make up your dye as per the instructions on the packet in a bowl but only use half the dye. Then wet your vest and dip into the dye solution. Then slowly add more colour the bowl as you remove it from the dye, this gives a more saturated look at the bottom. Leave to dry and launder as per normal, and voila! Simple dip dye tees! This can be done on anything from dresses to skirts to shirts, and its really fun!

    LBD UPGRADE

Update your favourite little black dress with this fun evening dress hack. You know when your necklace gets all tangled and you don’t know what to do with them? Simply break it up into bits, arrange them on your dress then attach them to the neckline using a glue gun! It’s an easy way to update your favourite dress with something you already have lying around the house. Easy!

    FLOWER SUNGLASSES

For the ultimate hipster summer chic look, try upgrading your sunglasses with some gems. To do this just use a glue gun and some gems that you can pick up off eBay for a couple of pounds and stuck them on an old pair of sunglasses. It’s such an easy way to create a fun festival look!

Post-shoot I headed home to have a chilled glass of Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato. It’s a deliciously sweet white wine with citrus and floral notes that is ideal for summer evenings and BBQ’s. Alternatively, if blush is more your thing then you could always grab a glass of Gallo Family Vineyards Pink Moscato which is a refreshing rosé wine with notes of ripe nectarines and juicy pomegranate.

So that’s it, three of my Must-Have looks! Inspired by Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato and Pink Moscato, these looks are super easy to follow at home and some of the DIYs can even be done on other items around the house! If you try your hand at any of these DIYs then make sure to tag me in photos on Instagram or Tweet me! Would love to see your take on these tips!

Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato and Pink Moscato both have an RRP of £6.99 and are available from all major retailers. For more information please visit www.gallofamily.co.uk, or the Gallo Family Vineyards Facebook page – www.facebook.com/GalloFamilyVineyardsUK.

White Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing*
Indigo Blue Joni Jeans - Topshop

One thing I'm loving at the moment is coats. It seems weird being obsessed with coats as it's getting warmer here in the UK but there's so many coat styles i'm loving at the moment. I love wearing coats for sunnier weather too. At the moment I'm obsessed with this trench coat and wearing it with t-shirts underneath.

It's so lightweight and perfect for those sunny days when it's a little less sunny. I've teamed it with the comfiest striped top I own at the moment from Pretty Little Thing. It goes amazingly with high-waisted jeans for a laid back casual look.

    5 reasons you should Vote

Voting. Yeah. I know it’s off brand and probably not something you’d expect to see me harping on about on the blog but it’s so so important, For years I was incredibly uninterested in politics. Even when I reached 18 and had the right to vote I still didn’t take the time to really educated myself on the subject. It’s not something we’re really taught in schools (I mean I knew what the parties were called, but no idea of their values or core messages). Flash Forward and now and I’ve actually realised how important using my vote is.

Today I want to encourage you all to go out to register to vote as well as visit your local polling station. So here are 5 reasons why you should vote....

    It’s worth it.

While voting might seem like a chore, it really doesn’t take all that long. Is a quick half and hour to and from the polling station. You have the power to make a difference that effects not only your life and the people and community around you.

    The Youth Vote is underused

Often politics isn’t aimed at young people (but they sure are trying, Hello PM's instagram feeds) but we have a voice and we should use it. Each party are spending thousands of pounds trying to appeal to us by using Twitter and Instagram (and failing miserably) to connect with us. They see how much power we could have if we just chose to vote. Politicians often cater their manifestos towards people who are more inclined to vote which is generally older people or people who have specific view points. Year after year I see young people saying they won’t vote because it’s not worth it or nothing will change. It’s sad but in the last General Election less than half of 18 to 24 year olds voted.

If you don’t vote nothing will change

If you don’t vote then stop complaining about how terrible you think the government is. Not voting means your part of the problem which lets an extreme party into power. If you don’t vote it’s like saying “Well I don’t really care what happens to my country”. Exercise your PRIVILEGE to vote. There are people in the world who are begging for the freedom to choose their own political powers and women fought so hard to make their opinion count. Don’t sit back and not bother at all because YES nothing will change.

    Think of the future

Things happening in this general election will have a knock on effect in the future. Think about the world your going to grow up in or your children might grow up in. Topics like education funding, fracking, employment and job training programs and health care all effect young people’s lives. Without having a say on these things now it can have a knock on effect in the future.

    Your voice will be heard

Like I said the misconception of not voting because you think your opinions won't make a difference is so dumb. When your vote is mixed with other like minded people’s votes thats when things start to change. But in the same way if the only people who do turn up to vote are the passionate far right... The louder that voice grows and therefore is being heard and could potentially go into power. We're currently living in an age where an extremist party is getting almost as many votes in the polls as the big two parties. Vote because you can, we have a democracy for a reason and it only works if you actually do something about it rather than taking it for granted.

I’m not going to tell you who to vote for because you have to work that one out for yourself. Educate yourself and just do it. Don’t think about doing it. Don’t put it off. It’s really not that much effort. SO GO TO THAT POLLING STATION AND BLOODY DO IT. I get why people are disenchanted by Politics. I get why people are dissatisfied and disillusioned with the current state of affairs in the UK (or insert your country name here). But what I don’t get is why young people aren’t actually voting or taking an active interest in the state of our country. If we don’t look at our options and look towards change nothing will happen and we’ll just be where we are and never move forward.

You can register to vote right up till the 20th April (which is also my birthday!) at this link www.gov.uk

The bottom line is, You have the right to have a say in how your country is run. It’s an absolute privilege to have and is so vital to our everyday lives. So just do it. Make the country a better place rather than blaming those who do vote for your poor choices.

    Contour like a Boss

So the latest thing to plop (wow that doesn't sound glamorous at all) through my letterbox are the brand spanking new Illamasqua Gel Colours and Sculpt sticks. A creamy, gel-ish stick twist up thing-a-ma-jig which is said to be the next big thing in the beauty world. It’s a unique contouring gel that adds a subtle definition to the shape with the swipe of a stick and a pad of a finger. These sticks blend beautifully, feel cooling and light on the skin and a perfect addition to a spring summer makeup bag.

I have the shades Silhouette (a scary in the pan but blends out like a trooper deep brown) and Charm (a bold coral). Both go on very light and you can build up the colour as you go along. It doesn't ever feel like you’re over applying or adding too much colour to the face due to the super light gel formula. Silhouette adds a beautiful seamless natural shadow to the face with absolute ease. It creates a beautiful natural shadow which would be perfect no makeup makeup.

Like with a lot of Illamasqua products this would be suitable for all skin types and tones. It’s a real stand out, different product from the brand that is also something everyone can use from the most experienced makeup applier to the complete n00b.

    White Cami Dress - £22
    Floral Embroided Playsuit - £30
    Mesh Panel Playsuit - £35
    Floral Boyfriend Shirt - £20
    Floral Bralet - £15

One things that is great about Missguided is that each season they have such a variety of clothing to suit all body types and shapes. I think it's great that they now have a plus size range but also an active range for the girls which are fitness crazy.

Missguided are killing it with there 'new in' section at the moment. Everyday they seem to add new clothes to the website so there is always something new to look at. I'm loving the lace bralet and think it would look amazing with a black maxi skirt for summer. This laser cut out dress would look so good with a patterned kimono and a tan, perfect for those summery warm nights.

I'm really liking this white dress, It's a bargain at only £22 and would be so versatile to wear all year round. It would look so good during the day time but also at night too with a pair of heels and a statement red lipstick.

    Bronzing Solutions from Clarins

Is it time to start thinking about the summer tan? Well I guess it is April and before we know it it'll be summer and we'll have to brave getting our pins out. Although as Im typing this up the sun is beaming, Im not were near summer body ready. Recently I got some new bits from Clarin's which are perfect for summer ready skin.

Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact is the usual Clarins über bronzer they release every summer. This year it features a sea inspired motif in four bronzing shades from beige to terracotta. Each shade blends together to create a beautiful bronzing shade which perks up the skin and gives luminosity.

Then we have the Clarins After Sun Shimmer Oil which is a lightweight beauty oil with a pearly luminescence. Designed to perk up the skin after soaking up the skin and keep it hydrated at the same time. A fragrant mix of Hazelnut Oil, Mandarin, Grapefruit and YlangYlang this is ideal for holiday skin!

And the most exciting addition is the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster for Body - a bigger version of their best seller in 2014 Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster for Face. This version is much larger and can be added to body lotions in your own desired quantity to create a glow suitable to your taste. The results are a dreamy, flawless tan which is made to measure.

Clarins self tanning range is among one of the best selling ranges in the UK and one I cant rave about enough. I used the Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow for Face all last summer to give myself a gorgeous model worthy faux tan and lamented when I lost my huge bronzer on a night out. Premium tanning doesn't get any better than this with a variety of products to suit so many needs!

    Lifestyle: A Weekend In Wales

For Bank Holiday weekend my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Llangollen in Wales. I was so excited to get away for a couple of days and venture somewhere new! I love exploring places I've never been before and it was so nice just to get away for a bit. With all the stress of university work and 9 deadlines coming up in the next 3 weeks I'm so stressed at the moment!

We arrived on the sunday morning and it was such a lovely sunny day. It is so busy when we got to llangollen so it's obviously a popular place to go and visit! It was such a lovely town and had lots of lovely places to eat!

This is what I had for lunch! For this meal I had chicken, bacon and cheese with BBQ and Chorizo. It was so so yummy and definitely filled me up!

To help burn off all the calories we had just eaten, me and Ben walked to the top of this castle ruin. It was on the top of quite a steep hill which took us about 45 minutes to walk up. It was so beautiful the view and the castle once we got to the top though!

Once we walked down the hill again where the castle was, we had dinner in a pub along the side of the river. It was so lovely and as it was such a sunny day, it was so nice to sit outside and eat.

After we'd left the hotel the next day we headed to a tea rooms for a late breakfast. They officially made the best scones ever! Who doesn't love scones with clotted cream and jam?! mmmm....

Top - Topshop (Similar here and here)
PU Belted Trench Coat - Rare London* (Similar here and here)
    Jeans - Topshop
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
Here's my outfit for day 2 in Wales. Ben loves driving his car and so we went on a scenic drive through wales and stopped at places along the way. When we stopped in a nice place I managed to get Ben to take a couple of snaps of my outfit! For the second day I wore my trench coat from Rare London which i'm obsessed with at the moment. I teamed the trench coat with a striped top and a pair of black skinny jeans with my current favourite shoes from Topshop!

Here's a cute photo of me and Ben once when we stopped on our drive, the views were amazing we just stopped a few times, relaxed and took the views in. We spent the rest of the day driving around, seeing all the gorgeous views that Wales has to offer. We definitely want to go back and visit wales as the views were just amazing. It's crazy to think we were only a couple of hours away from home!

What do you think of Wales? Any places you'd recommend going to visit?

    I'm writing a Book!

So… it’s finally got to that point where I have to announce something I’ve been working on for goodness knows how long. It’s been playing on my mind for what feels like forever. But yeap, Im writing a book.

I was pitched the idea of doing a book sometime in 2014 and I’ve been working on it here and there for almost a year now. I’ve been so nervous about announcing my book and I’ve had so many anxiety attacks this week just writing out this post. Mainly because Im doing a lot of it myself - From the writing to the image making the lot. Of course Im not doing the publishing part but I have some awesome people working on tat side for me. To me writing a book was such a daunting task really and a HUGE challenge for someone who isn’t a trained writer and isn’t even really that academic. I just knew that when I had this opportunity to share something in such a huge an unknown medium to myself - I wanted to share the thing that Im most knowledgeable and passionate about and that’s blogging.

My book is an inspirational slash advice style book for everyone from newbie bloggers, ones looking to up their game as well as advice going into full time blogging. It’s going to cover things from social media plans, content management, how to get inspired, how to name your blog and how to make the jump from hobby to full time blogging. I get asked every single day for advice on blogging and while I think you should take blogging tips with a pinch of salt sometimes I just want to inspire people to go forth and blog. A lot of it is done already but if you have any questions or topics you think I should cover then do let me know in the comments.

I just wanna take some of those questions people have a long the line of blogging and have a definitive answer to them all in the same place. Taking away that kinda nervousness about starting something new and different.

Blogging changed my life is so many ways. From confidence, financially and turned my lifestyle on it’s head. Not to mention changing my whole career path. It’s a huge part of who I am and who I grew up to me. Im forever grateful for the people who support my blog and have been around from the start. It’s so crazy how huge blogging has got over the years and I feel so blessed to be part of this rich and exciting community.

But yeah I knew I wanted to write a book that served a purpose so thats why I pushed to write a book about a subject rather than about myself.

Obviously I have a great editor behind me editing my terrible spelling and telling me off for trailing off in the middle of a sentence but I am writing it myself and yeah. I dont really know what else to say! As soon as I get all the info about when its published and preorders I’ll of course let you know. As I name the book and all that jazz I’ll let you know. Fresh Drugstore Lipsticks

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 1 Tangerine Dream*

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 15 Taffeta Bloom*

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 9 China Rose*

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 16 Paper Rose*

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 22 Cafe Lait*

Im not 100% sure if these are new launches from Collection or just their original collection of Lasting Colour Lipsticks are being updated with some new shades(I cant find the press release off hand) But there are some fresh shades in the drugstore that that I just had to share with you.

Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 22 Cafe Lait - Creamy Warm Nude
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 16 Paper Rose - Bright pretty pink
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 9 China Rose - "My lips but better" nude pink
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 15 Taffeta Bloom - Mid tone Pink (similar to MAC Please Me)
Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 1 Tangerine Dream - Bright Peachy Cream

The Collection Lasting Colour The lipsticks feel thick (but not smothering) but also smooth and easy to apply. The formula is a sort of semi matte finish and if you are familiar with the Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipsticks then they are very similar to that. They feel nice on the lips and last a decent amount of time before needing a top off!

Affordable (£2.99 a piece) and available at most UK highstreet drugstores these are definitely worth picking them up at some point. I'd totally recommend Tangerine Dream, it's such a me shade! Peachy perfection!

Fashion: Next Shoebox Jukebox Event - #nextshoeboxjukebox

One things for sure nobody holds a blogger event like Next. The Next Social/PR girls get it so right overtime! I was invited down to London for the Next #shoeboxjukebox event last Friday and it was so much fun.

They always have so much yummy food and drinks at the events and it's like having a massive catch up session with so many bloggers whenever I go to a Next event. I always have such a nice time and it's so nice to be invited to such lovely events that Next hold.

They had these awesome dancers which performed the Beyonce Single Ladies dance which I totally wish I could learn and do as a party trick.

They had so many beautiful shoes on display. I think Next have seriously upped there shoe game this season. They have so many gorgeous shoes and so many perfect shoes to add to your summer wardrobe!

I never really manage to get photos of me with people at events but I managed to this time. Here's a photo of me with Louise from Style Me Curvy, Prince Cassius and Georgina from Georgina Does. It was so nice to hang out with them all and catch up with them! I love a natter at fashion events it's like talking to friends!

Here's a photo of me with the beautiful Louise from Style Me Curvy which after following her blog for ages I got to meet. She's so gorgeous in real life and was so lovely to chat to! It's so nice when you meet such genuinely lovely people. I loved this event it was so much fun!

I wish I got to go to London more, I always have so much fun and leave London feeling super inspired and motivated to work harder with my blog and my career. Who knew London had such an influence on me?!

    3 Voluminous Hair Hacks

The higher the hair the closer to Jesus? Or something like that. For most of us the dream is to have long flowing hair with just the right amount of oomph. That sexy fullness only those who pay a fortune to get their hair blow-dried weekly can achieve. Here are a few of my voluminous hair tricks!

    Chubby Curling Tong
Pick a super duped wide barrelled curling tong and take 1-2 inch sections and curl. Then as you let them loose use a comb to brush them out. Make sure to prep the hair with a good heat protectant that has a little hold. My pick is the L'Oréal Paris Elnett Curl Heat Protect Spray. Results- bouncy loose curls with just enough definition. Psst - Babyliss Glamour Waves is the best tool.

    Velcro Rollers
Think of these as a push up bra for your hair. Prep hair by scrunching through a bit of mousse (Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse) and then take a roller and roll the hair up. Don’t worry about being to precise about this as uneven placement can add to the undone voluminous look. Number 1 Tip? Roll the ones at your crown away from the face. Set the hair with heat and finger comb out.

    Prepping Products
Make sure to use a texturising or volume boosting spray before drying the hair. If you have fine hair to begin with and struggle to get volume then this is key step. Just make sure not to overload the hair with product as it can leave it looking TOO volumised. Remember were going for sexy mussed up volume not crazy dragged through a hedge volume! Oribe Dry Texurising Spray and Bumble and Bumble Salt Spray in conjunction with each other is just... next level.

    Abm Messybox Unboxing

    APRIL MESSY BOX

If you asked me who my favourite bloggers are then I would immediately answer the A Beautiful Mess girls Elsie and Emma. They have an eye for colour, style and their content is so on point I just cant. The Messy box is a monthly subscription from the ABM girls that comes once a month and is packed full of beautiful papercraft and DIY bits and bobs. With this April kit, you get 9x12" paper in chic patterns, colourful cards in three different sizes in a bunch of amazing patterns and designs, and die cut plastic shapes. Some Washi to help your designs stick. And also a really unique rotary stamp!

I've done a video version to go alongside this as I thought it would be able to see a better overview of the designs and pattens which you can watch above or over on my vlog/random channel!

I really want to get into scrapbooking and I think this box has inspired me to get a bit more visual. It's a cool way to keep track of all the things you do and print out and record all your favourite memories. If Timehop has told me anything, I have no idea what those random tweets meant 3 years ago!

    Some Slogan Tee's

    Mother of Dragons Tee

    Kale Jumper

I mean who doesnt love a good slogan tee? One day when I was browsing on Ebay I came across a couple of slogan tee's that had my name on it. Mother of Dragons was the first tee that made it's way into my basket. Obviously as a big ASOAIF/Game of Thrones nerd then I knew it was for me! The Kale jumper is a tribute to the one Bey wore in her 7/11 video (which I think is a super cool video even though I swear everyone hates it!). I got it nice and oversized for a looser oversized fit. I love wearing it with a faux leather skirt and some cut out boots. Really cool off duty chic look!

When I'm feeling stressed and wanting to have a 10 minute chill, at the moment I turn to watching a video on Youtube with a cup of peppermint tea. I've been really enjoying youtube lately and my flatmates keep telling me I need to start a youtube channel (watch this space!) but I thought I'd share with you all the videos I've been loving watching and possibly introduce you to some new youtube channels to watch!

One thing I love about Sammi is she's not afraid to talk about the issues we are all worrying about. I found this video so helpful, especially at the moment with all my university coursework being due to be handed in in the next couple of weeks. Grab a cup of tea and spend 10 minutes watching this!

The editing is amazing and I love the music too not just the gorgeous clothes she's wearing! (hide your bank card if you watch this!)

    3. Primark Spring Haul - BroganTatexo

    Huge Drugstore Haul

If you watch my Youtube channel you'll notice a distinct lack of my usual haul videos. I decided not to spend any money on clothes this month (which also adds to the fact I've barely done any outfit photos in ages!) and I do plan on doing a post about my experience very soon. But a few days ago I was in Central London and I stumbled upon a Superdrug and I went in for a browse. Half a hour later and £80 lighter I came out with a bunch of brand new stuff to try as well as a few tactical repurchases. Watch the video above to see what I picked up including some dupes for popular products that I've tried before!

I hope you enjoy the video as I really like it. I don't know why but after a couple of months of being uninspired by Youtube I have the urge to film and make stuff again. I've got loads of ideas and things I want to do with the channel its just a mixture of time constraints and getting people to help me out. Anyway, if you have any requests or ideas then do leave the in the comments and I'll try my best to make them a reality!

I love how occasionally it's been really nice weather here in the UK. This means summer is here! I love summer, It's my favourite time of the year and when this playsuit arrived in my postbox I knew it would be a great summer staple for those sunny days. If you've not heard of Pretaportabello before you're definitely missing out. They are a family run business which stock so many gorgeous items. Ace of Base

Faking the lit from within glow has been a trend for as long as I can remember so keeping a few illuminating primers, highlighters and creams is a must. That model lit from within look comes around every summer. Not all of us have flawless glowing skin - But it's one of the easiest things to fake.! Achieve that inner radiance with the help of a strategically placed glow producing products.

Im currently digging the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base. They've launched some tan shades for the season which are a must in any beauty bag this summer! These primers boost the skin before adding a foundation or can be blended with your favourite summer base for a dreamy glow. The darker shade would be perfect base for sunkissed holiday skin, worn alone or mixed in with your favourite tinted moisturiser!

    5 Common Mistakes About Bloggers

Bloggers are seen as having perfect lives, perfect careers and perfect selfies. Things aren’t always how they seem especially when it comes to blogging. Here are 5 common mistakes people make about bloggers.

    1. Blogging is easy to do

This year I’m entering my 6th year blogging. That seems crazy to type as I never imagined in a million years something I’d start one day aged 15 would still be a part of my life at 21 years old. The amount of times I’ve reshot photos, stayed up until 1-2am editing posts and emailing. With being a full-time student it’s definitely a lot harder to blog as well.

    2. Bloggers are really confident

Yes there are some really confident bloggers out there but there are a lot of us (including myself) who are a little body conscious. Yes we may post hundreds of photos of what we’ve been wearing and how we wear our clothes but we’re not the most confident people in the world. We’re real people just like you.

    3. It’s all about the freebies

When I have parcels delivered all the time to my house and my student house my family and housemates could easily think I get everything for free. When I started blogging I had no idea about PR, Social Media and gifting, which is now a norm for many bloggers. Most bloggers (including myself) started blogging as a hobby and blog for nothing and still continue to treat blogging that way. Blogging is a hobby to me and any money I earn is an extra.

    4. That Life is perfect

I even think this myself from time to time. I sometimes see photos of bloggers and think their lives must be perfect. Yes you see bloggers instagramming everything they’re up to, all the amazing events they get invited to. I don’t get the chance to go to many events, as I don’t live in London.

    5. Bloggers are obsessed with appearance

Bloggers aren’t always obsessed with appearance. Everyone likes to look good for a photo but we have no-make up days to and days we just want to chill out and relax. I don’t wear make-up unless I’m going out and I’m totally fine with just lounging around in a jumper and leggings!

These are just some of the misconceptions I think people have about bloggers. Can you relate to any of these?

    April Cleansers

My poor skin is having a bit of a rough time recently. I haven't quite pin pointed the exact thing thats breaking me out but it could be a primer which I've just realised as silicone in or a change in my diet. Who knows, although Im determined to get to the bottom of it all! Recently I've been using a new combo of products that I picked up on Space NK and Cult Beauty and I thought I'd share my thoughts

The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is more of a gel balm, I was imagining it would be more of a gel than a balm as my skin doesnt normally like balms. I have noticed that the overall appearance of my skin is much better and my congested areas (cheeks and nose) look a lot let noticeable. I love the way it feels on my skin and the way it removes my makeup with ease. It's super milky and light and leaves my skin feeing deeply cleanser and so fresh.

Whenever I use a balm I always have to follow up with another cleanser to make sure its all off my skin. I've been using the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser which again wasn't how I was expecting either. It's actually a light foaming cleanser packed full of french clay to draw out any nasties from the skin. My skin is currently a mix of scarring and active breakouts and I feel like this brightens my skin without making it feel tight or dried out.

    Behind the Scenes @ ASOS

Ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors at a big brands headquarters? Well a couple of days ago I was invited along to ASOS HQ to take an exclusive peek behind the scenes and check out a new launch of the Christopher Kane x ASOS newness. I've been to ASOS HQ a few times before and each time I head over it changes, grows and becomes cooler and cooler! It's actually really fascinating and they do all their design work, some pattern cutting as well as shoot all the imagery for the website. I really wish I could show you more but it's a bit hard when there are so many new designs floating about. Trust me, ASOS are on top form as per usual! And if you're a Nars Lover then stick around to the end as there is quite a hefty ol' Nars Haul! Trust me it's a goody! Aerys even chimes in on her favourite products!

It's that time of the year when you walk into all your high street stores and you want to buy everything you see. There's all the new stock in for the summer and there's so many gorgeous pieces available at the moment. I'm absolutely loving Miss Selfridge. I'm not personally much of a fan of the store in the winter, but in the summer they get it just right. My favourite picks from them online at the moment is this 90's crop top, this pair of shorts and this gorgeous pair of mules.

During these two weeks of deadlines me and my boyfriend booked a holiday to Crete and this gave me the idea for this post!
I have a trusty pair of Rayban's I've had for a couple of years now and I've carried them in my handbag ever since. They are the perfect sunglasses and they always look fashionable. I recently came across so many gorgeous pairs of designer sunglasses on Tesco Opticians and I thought I'd do a wish list showing you all my favourite picks!

What do you think of these sunglasses? Which pair is your favourite?

Beauty: How To Make The Most Out Of Your Make-up Bag

The idea of this post came from doing my make-up a few days ago and thinking about how I use the real techniques brushes for different purposes and made me think on how you can use your make-up products for more than one purpose and here are my favourites.

    1. Use a lipgloss as a highlighter to give the look of dewy skin after you've done your foundation.

    2. Use brown mascara to tame your eyebrows. I've done this a few times as sometimes in my on the
go make-up bag I forgot to add in my eyebrow gel!

    3. Use a dark eyeshadow to contour your face.

    4. Prime your eyes for eyeshadow by using concealer instead of an eyeshadow primer.

    5. Illuminate your brow bone with concealer.

    6. Use cream blusher as a lipstick tint.

    7. Instead of using a brow shadow palette for your eyebrows use a dark eyeshadow.

    8. Use your mascara as an eyeliner to create a perfect feline flick.

What are your beauty tips for making the most out of your make-up bag?

    Admin & Updates

Hi guys. Long time no speak eh.

So this is the first time I’ve sat down and actually written my blog in weeks. Probably actually before I went to Japan and that was back in March. It’s hard to explain why I’ve been trying to work out how to say things without people passing it off as a blogger just being a bit of an arsehole. Blogging full time is so much harder than most people think. It’s not just about the actual content - it’s the admin, organisation, promotion and all that jazz. I dont enjoy any of the business side of blogging, it really doesnt interest me at all. I like making content and posting and the emails, admin and scheduling stuff just bores the hell out of me. My inbox is thousands upon thousands deep upon unread mails and missed opportunities. I feel guilty but thats just what Im like.

I struggle to keep up most of the time with how intense and fast paced blogging has got over the years. I’ve got to this point where I know that I simply cant run my Youtube Channel and blog consistently at the same time. To me it’s either one or the other and that takes up all my time. I think I flip flop between loving blogging and loving vlogging but getting that middle ground where I can create something constantly good on both sides is the part I’ve found hard. I can either make quality content on my channel or on my blog, but in an ideal world I’d really like to be able to do both. Im trying to work out how to do this and make it work for me again. I really love creating and sharing, especially hearing other peoples feedback on the things that I do.

A little bit of a life update from me. Im good, I’ve been quite ill the last month on and off and I even went to hospital for a bit. I dont really talk about my personal life beyond “hey, heres a few photos of me doing something”. But I have a reoccurring illness which brings me down quite a bit and knocks me out of action for periods of time. For the moment I’m “fine” but not brilliant. But hey, I’m keeping going.

Me and my boyfriend also split up just after I got back from Japan. No I’m not sad, although it wasn't exactly mutual, but Im relived to be out of that vortex of destruction once and for all. He was THAT ex if anyone has been reading long enough to want to know the juicy deets. I was a very stupid girl and regret a lot of things. It’s very easy to be blinded by someones apparent feelings for you before doing the exact thing you were worried about them doing while you were away.

As for other things, I’ve been really feeling negative about is my body. Although not nessecerily how I feel about myself more the way people talk about my body, My weight doesn’t particular bother me but it makes me feel incredibly guilty when people like to point it out. No I’m not eating 2000 cakes a day, my weights just fluctuated in the past few months mainly from being sick and on medication for that. I’ve been everything from a size 8 to a size 14 since starting this blog and never have I once felt unfashionable or uncomfortable with my body until recently. I never thought blogging would effect my body image in the way it had. I always found blogging incredibly inspiring because of the "real" and varied body sizes our community has on show. Straight up, I think it shocked me how much it got to me? While I have a incredibly thick skin, no one wants to hear that kinda stuff about themselves. I hate that we live in an age where everyone is too skinny or too fat. You could be totally happy with yourself but a few digs here and there can really mix up how your own body image. It's crap.

I also felt like I was in a style rut. My style definitely isnt cool or cutting edge. I know what I like and I know what I feel good in. My style is so different to what's also "in" right now and paired with the fact I spent about 8 months dressed like I did when I was 15 (holla @ those former emo kids) I just needed a kick up the but to get my fashion mojo back a bit! I didnt buy any clothes in all of April, and to be honest most of March too! However the past weeks I've been trying new things and trying to piece together a fresh take on my own personal style! I actually wrote a post once on how to find your personal style so if you wanted to check out the steps I took to do it then here it is!

As you guys know I’ve been writing a book, which again I’ve really struggled with. Im not going to lie and say it came flowing out of me. Sometimes it took me days to get all my thoughts together on each blog related subject before. The fear of saying the wrong thing was always in the back of my mind. Im almost at the end of of my book journey and it’s such a awesome feeling of accomplishment. Keep tuned for more information on that over the next few days though as I’ve got some cool things to announce.

Im off travelling again as of Sunday, I’ll tell you all the details about that again in the next few days. Im so excited and I promise I’ll blog that properly! Im excited to get away and start my summer off. It feels like I can finally get back to focusing on me and my life again and summer is definitely the best time for it. Roll on festival fun for the next few months as well as a few cheeky trips abroad!

So thank for you sticking around if you’re still here reading this. I know my blog hasnt been consistently "good" in ages now but Im taking a stand from today and turning things up a notch again. Although I do fear I have too high standards for myself so I set myself up for failure. Sigh!

Y’all too good to me. Love ya!

I'm loving so many things on the high-street right now. As soon as it's spring/summer I feel the need to buy a whole new wardrobe. It's a new season it's a little bit warmer so there's definitely 1 million reasons to go out and treat yourself to something new...

A massive trend at the moment is flared trousers/jeans. I think with a pair of heels anyone could wear this trend. I love these ones from Missguided and they're perfect for any outfit as they're monochrome! Culottes are my favourite fashion trend at the moment. I love how easy they are to wear and I have a floral pair which I love (you may have seen them in this post) they're great for a casual day but also for an evening out!

I'm loving the sleeveless cardigan/waistcoat trend at the moment. Investing in a sleeveless cardigan/waistcoat is great for this season as you can wear it with so many basic items in your wardrobe. I love wearing mine with a striped long sleeved top and a pair of skinny jeans.

I've been challenged by Topshop to style up certain pieces for summer events. I've chosen this pair of trousers and I think they'd look great for a summer wedding with a blouse and heels, or you could pack these trousers on holiday with you with a pair of sandals! I try and be as versatile as possible with my clothing and these trousers would look amazing on both occasions!

It's that time of the year where most of us will be attending a summer event/wedding. I'm attending one of my friends weddings in July and i'm so excited. I'm already thinking about what I will wear for the wedding. I think in the summer it's all about wearing pastels and nudes. I'm loving floral prints at the moment and this one is gorgeous and a bargain to. I think jumpsuits are another great option for a summer wedding with a pair of heels and a clutch bag and this one from Pretty Little Thing is perfect for a wedding!

I'm thinking in the summer I'll have to invest in a pair of nude heels for the wedding and as I'll have just come back from my holiday I will hopefully be tanned!

Fashion: A Collaboration With Topshop Part 1

    Striped Sleeveless Blouse - Topshop*
    Storm Duster Coat - Topshop*
High-Waisted Dark Blue Jeans - Topshop*
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
I must admit last week was the longest break i've taken from blogging in about 3 years. It's extremely tiring trying to keep up a website, blog, emails, social media accounts... admin the list goes on! But the next few posts are really exciting as I'm collaborating with Topshop! As you all know, Topshop is my absolute favourite store and I'm so happy to be collaborating with them. My next few posts will be Topshop outfits inspiring you for what to wear for different summer themes. I already posted about my summer party outfit idea in this post.

    Striped Sleeveless Blouse - Topshop*
    Storm Duster Coat - Topshop*
High-Waisted Dark Blue Jeans - Topshop*
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
This outfit I'd wear to a fashion event, evening out or a date night with my boyfriend. I think it's a great smart outfit which could look good all year round. During the summer this would be a perfect outfit for a summer BBQ/Party (especially in England as it's never that sunny).

    Striped Sleeveless Blouse - Topshop*
    Storm Duster Coat - Topshop*
High-Waisted Dark Blue Jeans - Topshop*
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
This outfit is quite simple but stylish as the grey duster coat matches my shoes and the coat goes with the striped blouse so nicely! If you're going to buy this blouse i'd definitely size up as it's quite small and be prepared to iron it overtime you want to wear it!

Navy Stripe Top - Pretty Little Thing*
Navy Stripe Trousers - Pretty Little Thing*
Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing
    White Heels - New Look

I have so many outfit posts coming up in the next couple of weeks! I feel so inspired by fashion lately and have really changed up my wardrobe. A couple of weeks ago this gorgeous two piece arrived in the post and i've been wearing it (or each item separately) most days since. As you all know I'm a massive fan of all things striped, so this two piece has become a real staple in my wardrobe!

Navy Stripe Top - Pretty Little Thing*
Navy Stripe Trousers - Pretty Little Thing*
Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing
    White Heels - New Look
I've teamed this two piece up with a white clutch bag and my new white heels from New Look. These heels are literally the comfiest heels i've ever owned! I can't stop wearing them as they look so smart and classy. They were only about £18 to which is a total bargain! I love wearing these trousers by themselves with a black cami top, white t-shirt and converses or sandals. If I'm feeling like I want to make more of an effort with my outfit I'll wear the striped top with a pair of black skinny jeans and boots. I love this two piece as it's so versatile.

Navy Stripe Top - Pretty Little Thing*
Navy Stripe Trousers - Pretty Little Thing*
Clutch Bag - Pretty Little Thing
