  • This Weeks High-Street Picks #26 - Topshop, River Island and Pretty Little Thing

Dogtooth Check Jumpsuit - Pretty Little Thing
    Ecru Joni Jeans - Topshop
High-Neck Stripe Crop Top - Missguided
    Striped Trousers - Missguided
Long Sleeved Ribbed Top - Topshop
Floral Print Button Cami - River Island
    Paisley Flocked Treggings - Topshop
    Fur Skater Shoes - Topshop
I've been going mad for all things high-street lately. One of my favourite new shop discoveries has been Pretty Little Thing. I am loving so much online there lately and this Dogtooth Check Jumpsuit is amazing! I think it'd look gorgeous with a leather jacket. One thing i've been lusting after lately is the cream joni jeans from Topshop. As 70's is a massive trend at the moment cream jeans are very on trend. I think they'd look amazing with a pair of ankle boots!
I can never get enough of stripes and this two piece from Missguided is gorgeous. I think on the website it's styling perfectly too. I think you could wear this outfit with a pair of converse for a toned down casual look. Polo necks are my weakness right now and they keep me so warm (especially in Yorkshire it's freezing!) I love layering these tops with shirts and blouses with high-waisted jeans.

  • Beauty: Look Fantastic February Beauty Box

Beauty boxes have been around for so many years now and when Look Fantastic started doing monthly beauty boxes I really wanted to give this beauty box a go! I'm so excited to announce that i'm now part of the beauty box team and will be able to show you all the amazing products inside each box!

Each month the beauty box includes 6 must-have beauty products worth £48 and it's only £15 for the beauty box which is an absolute bargain! This month the box includes products from Moroccan Oil, Dr Paw Paw, Korres, Erno Laszio, Bella Pierre and Monu.

Monu Skincare Illuminating Primer SPF15 (20ml)

I'm still searching for my perfect primer and when this months beauty box turned up at my door I was beyond excited to have a new primer to try out! It claims to provide a flawless base for make-up and reduces the appearance of imperfections so I can't wait to try this out!

    Bellapierre Cosmetics Snow White Eyeliner

I've never been the biggest fan of eyeliner. I like going for a natural look on eye make-up! As this eyeliner retails at (£11.20) on it's own it's definitely worth spending those extra couple of pounds on a beauty box! I will definitely be using this eyeliner as a highlight for underneath my eyes to help brighten them.

    Moroccan oil Treatment (25ml)

Morrocanoil is known for working wonders with dry and damaged hair. I was so excited to see this in the beauty box as i've recently just run out of mine! I use this treatment oil on the ends of my hair to keep them in better condition (from all the hair straightening!) You can apply a small amount though-out damp or dry hair which makes it so much easier to use.

Dr Paw Paw Original Balm (10ml)

I've seen so many beauty bloggers and beauty people on youtube rave about this product. In winter everyone seems to suffer from the case of dry lips. I've been using this all day and already my lips feel more moisturised. You can also you this on on your nails, for hair and beauty finishing and for skin as well as lips.

Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar (0.6oz)

This sea mud cleansing bar claims to remove impurities and exfoliates to give soft and smooth skin. The full price version of this bar is £45 so you're getting a great deal being able to try this out with the beauty box!

    Kores Citrus Little Body Milk
One things for sure this body milk in citrus from Korres smells amazing! I'm going to use this after showering as a body lotion as it just smells so good!
I have loved this months beauty box from Look Fantastic and you can get yours for £15 straight to your door here.

  • Keeping Motivated as a Blogger

I feel like I've been a bit MIA on the blog recently. I've had a spot of bloggers block... not even bloggers block it's been more of bit of a dip in creativity. I'm currently working on something pretty epic which I've been doing since the middle of last year which I feel has taken up all my day to day thinking power. I took some time out this afternoon to reflect on things and thing about myself and how exactly I keep motivated as a blogger.

Sometimes there is this huge struggle to constantly come up with new, fresh and innovative ideas. Especially when it feels like everything has already been done by someone else. Bloggers block and keeping motivated come hand it hand. The lul in blogging you’re experiencing is something that even the most seasoned blogger will deal with. Coming from experience here are some of my ways to get over the blogging dip.

    Refresh
Why did you start blogging in the first place? Chances are your putting too much pressure upon yourself. Often people come to me and say they have give up blogging because they stopped enjoying it. Remember that blogging shouldn’t be an obligation. It should always be something that you want to do! The key is to tap back into the enthusiasm you started your blog with and look at he situation with fresh eyes.

    Re-Focus
What part of blogging really excites you? Is it the writing, image making, sharing or the social side? Keep the love in blogging alive rather than dwelling on the negatives. Like with everything in life always do what you love rather than focusing on the aspects you don’t. Avoid the parts you don’t like for a bit (for me it’s the administration and emails side) and throw yourself into the exciting parts. Take photos, pour your heart and share your thoughts with the world.

    Think
When bloggers blog gets my truly stuck in a rut I like to just consider a few thingsConsider all the aspects that make you like a blog and consider how you can apply them to your own website. Is it writing longer columns, upping your photography game or exploring new areas? There is no harm in day dreaming about where you might want your blog to take you! Often dreams for the future are a great way to stay motivated and push you forward.

Im not quite sure of where Im going to go next in my blogging journey but writing this little plan of action has made me motivated to start again come tomorrow and think about things in a different way.

  • Valentines Red Lips

As V-day is fast approaching I thought I'd do a red lips look using my favourite red shade. Bang has been my go-to red for a while because of it's punchy orange undertone which compliments my warmer skin tone. I've lined by lips with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil in Bang to give them a nice strong shape before adding a slick of the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Bang. I adore that these two Urban Decay products are two are a complimenting lip pencil and lipstick duo which is perfect.

With red lipstick - there isn't one shade to suit everyone. It really is worth that little bit of effort to try different shades to find your perfect red. Red lips are bold, sexy and super glamorous. A punchy red can make you feel more confident and dare I say it… sexy… So do it - Go forth and try red lipstick. If this peachy pink girl can be converted then so can you!

While red isn't the most kissing appropriate colour - I wore this lipstick with my boyfriend once and needless to say it looked like he was wearing it rather than myself in about 5 seconds after our smooch. Red is THE Valentines day colour and it's a great all year rounder too.

  • Epic Faux Fur Clutch

Sometimes I buy things and think they deserve a whole post of their own -This monster of a clutch bag being one of them. I've already sung the praises of faux fur acessories towards the end of last year and that hype train is still running strong. This epic clutch is from ASOS and sort of reminds me of a pillow slash my cat Aerys. Oversized fur clutches are having a real moment at the moment and totally worth investing in for spring. They are the kinda thing you can carry on throughout the year and get a ton of wear out of them. I'm a big fan.

  • Beauty: Top 5 Real Techniques Brushes

I'm a massive fan of Real Techniques brushes and so I thought i'd put together my ultimate Top 5 Real Techniques brushes together in a post. I've featured a lot of the Real Techniques brushes on here before, you can read posts about them here, here, here and here.

    1. Buffing Brush (Part of the Core Collection Set) - Amazon

One thing I shall say if you won't find the Core Collection Set any cheap than it is on Amazon. You can find this set on Amazon here. This is probably one of the best things I've ever bought make-up wise. You can read my full review on the set here. The buffing brush is my favourite from this collection. I use it pretty much everyday to apply my foundation! If there's one make-up brush set you buy this year make it this one!

    2. Setting Brush - Amazon

This brush is pretty much a miracle brush. I use it to apply concealer with but sometimes for bronzing or using for powder when I don't use the multi-task brush! It's a great brush and really helps blend the product in well.

    3. Cheek Brush (Part of Nic's Picks Collection Set) - Amazon

This set is a recent addition to my Real Techniques collection but i've fallen in love with the cheek brush. It's great for applying powder to your face, applying blush or applying a powder highlighter. I haven't gone anywhere without this brush in my make-up bag!

    4. Contour Brush (Part of Core Collection Set) - Feel Unique
I've been a massive fan of this brush for so long now. It's perfect for adding bronzer and contouring. It's so easy to use and it's the perfect shape too. This is definitely a make-up essential for any girls handbag!

    5. Miracle Complexion Sponge - Amazon

At only £4.79 this sponge is a fraction of it's retail price on Amazon. If you're a student with an NUS card it's worth downloading the NUS extra smartphone app to get a further 5% off purchases on Amazon. Which is even more of a bargain! This sponge is so good for blending in concealer and foundation and making your application look flawless!

  • Quickest Drying Drugstore Nail Polishes

I'm wearing Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Eat My Dust
New additions to the popular Barry M line up are these brand spanking new Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint’s. Launching in 9 pretty pastel inspired shades for SS15, Im sure these are going to be a big ol’ hit. For those like myself who lack the patience to wait for nails to dry (smooshed nails much?) these are like a dream come true.

Judging by the names and the packaging they are going for a race car inspired theme for this first drop. Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint’s dry in a pretty impressive 60-80 seconds and application is a dream thanks to the slightly wider brush head. Two coats and these puppies produce a really good smooth coverage and finish.

I haven’t tried anything from Barry M properly for a good long while but these have restored by faith in the iconic drugstore nail brand. They are the perfect range of shades for spring and a must have for any lazy girl’s beauty routine. I'll never understand why all nail polishes aren't quick drying, No body really wants to wait around for ages for them to dry! Just doesnt make sense to me!

  • Cold Weather Dressing

Im totally gonna get all British on you and talk about the weather for a bit. But seriously? HOW COLD IS IT RIGHT NOW. Sometimes I feel like I'm forever double layer burrito-ing and hair dryer-ing myself just to keep warm. Going outside has been limited to only when I need to right now!

Stripe tee's are such a wardrobe staple. As I always say... I've never met a stripe that I didnt like and as per usual this one is no exception. I've had this jacket for so long and when I first got it I wore it to death but for some reason it went back into my wardrobe and didn't see the light of day for a while. I've been totally loving wearing it again though recently. Im not going to make a stupid 50 Shades of Grey pun but just imagine something terrible and tacky. Im so done with that film already, Definitely on my do not ever watch list. Accessory wise I went for a fur clutch and a simple silver watch which I really like. It's minimal and classy and the simple grey strap just compliments the silver face.

Today I've been binge watching the Tudors and trying to spring clean my room a little bit. You know what stage you get to where it's not tidy or organised and it feels like it's getting worse before it gets better. Thats the point where Im at now and Im trying not to sizzle into a stress induced mess!

  • My Must Haves - Wine Fedora

If there is one item thats graced my head more than anything in the last 6 months then it's a fedora. They became a wardrobe staple of mine somewhere in mid 2014 and my love for them is still slow and steady. My favourite of my extensive collection would definitely be this purple burgundy number from Boohoo. I've actually owned about 3 of these specific hats because I lost one and then accidentally crushed one with a misjudged sit down on my bed. At £10 they are pretty darn cheap and so on trend!

I think a date night dress would be perfect for valentines. They look so good with a simple piece of jewellery and a pair of heels. Another thing I love to wear is a jumpsuit and this one has gorgeous cross over back detailing. Valentines isn't valentines without nice underwear and how beautiful is this set for only £35? If i'm wearing a simple outfit for valentines I'd wear a bold red lipstick and screen siren from Topshop is perfect!

  • Why Im not going to Fashion Week

So after lots of ums and ahh’s I’ve made the decision NOT to go to London Fashion Week this season. I’ve been sitting on applying for tickets for too long and I can’t bring myself to go scrabble around for my login pin for a pass.As somewhat of a seasoned LFW-er the decision not to go is somewhat of a controversial one, especially in blogging circles. But I’ve firmly decided my place is not there - right now.

Not to say I’ll never go again, theres just something not clicking for me right now. Don’t get me wrong I love Fashion Week. Going to shows and having the privilege of going backstage at some top shows is one of the highlights of my blogging experience and I wouldn’t change that for the world. Over the seasons I’ve been able to meet designers and experience the hustle and bustle of backstage some of the best fashion designers in the world.

In recent years I’ve seen a huge shift. Bloggers get even more disrespected, peacocking is rife and it’s generally 5 days of blagging, bragging and pointless one up man ship. Not a day goes by where you don’t hear something along these lines. "Oh you’re standing… Well Im on the fourth row” (bitch, no one cares about fourth row) "I had a breakfast event, then another gifting lounge and then got street styled loads!" "Are you going to any shows?” “Well… no”. It’s just dumb, basic and Im totally over it. I don’t want to stand around for hours freezing myself to death in the hope someone may snap me for some obscure fashion website or run across town in the hopes of maybe getting into XYZ show. Fashion week on the outside looking in is glamorous and exciting - and trust me it is for those 10 minutes of shows but the 45 hour queuing before shows in the freezing cold or soaking up the inevitable London rain is not.

I don’t know if I’ve got to the point where the buzz has worn off it the point where I’ve just realised maybe my place isn’t at Fashion Week. I love fashion, but personal style is where it’s at for me. I never know if it's obvious, but the street style on the cobbles of Somerset House is not personal style. It’s exaggerations of people’s everyday styles in the name of being snapped for street style websites or for so and so’s blog. Is its really something most 20 something girls like myself get inspired by? It’s debatable.

I know come Friday I’ll be experiencing extreme FOMO and will probably cave and go to a few shows. I mean how can I pretend Im on the #FROW or pose next to a Mercedes Benz Car. What if I have the chance to meet Harry Styles again? How will my life go on without bragging about being backstage?

None the less I’ll be pulling up a pew on my virtual Front Row and if you guys would like to join me then follow me on Twitter while I do some tweet alongs to my favourite shows.

Let me know what you think about LFW. Honestly, me and Fashion Week have always had a love hate relationship and it’s a constant struggle. But deciding on a firm no, is kinda big deal to me. I love it while Im there but then bitterly regret the pre, during and post stress it gives. Like I said, I know come Friday and depending what comes through I may go, but right now Im going to sit in my pj's and watch from the comfort of my own bed.

    Peppermint Candle - Flamingo Gifts(*)
    Love Sign - Vintage
    Flowers - Ikea
With being at university, you're on a super tight budget on finding ways to make your bedroom more homely. I've teamed up with Flamingo Gifts to show you all ways i've personalised my university room! I am a massive fan of the smell of peppermint and this candle smells amazing! The 'Love' sign I bought from a shop in France and It's been a cute but lovely way of personalising my room. The flowers are from Ikea and they really brighten the room up!

Black and White Cushions - Ikea
    Love Cushion - Primark
    Microwaveable Owl - Flamingo Gifts(*)
Joules Duvet Cover - Bed Deck(*)
One things for sure you've got to make your bed comfy! In my room it kind of teams up as a sofa too as I use it a lot to read magazines, watch movies on my laptop as I don't have a television! My cushions are from Ikea and the 'love' cushion is a recent addition of mine from Primark. I absolutely love this microwaveable owl. It keeps me so warm at night, especially when you have a university room which isn't that warm!

40 free photo prints - Snapfish
Live Laugh Love Sign - Flamingo Gifts(*)
I have photos of times when I've been really happy by my bed so they're the last thing I see at night! (sad I know) but it makes me feel happy before I sleep. I have photos with my best friends, boyfriend and one from my trip doing charity work in Africa! I have given the pin board a more personal look with this sign from Flamingo Gifts and I need to pick up some fairy lights!
Magazines, books and more magazines... they seem to take over my room with being a fashion student!

Grey Triangle Cushion - The Hut(*)
    Owl Cushion - Flamingo Gifts(*)
My room seems to be over flowing with cushions! I definitely think you can never have enough cushions right?! I sometimes sit by the end of my bed and read the latest magazines for a bit of chill time with a cup of peppermint tea!

    Diffuser - Primark
Reach for the stars sign - Flamingo Gifts
    Peppermint candle - Flamingo Gifts(*)
I really like having my room smelling nice. I like picking up diffusers in places like Primark, Matalan and Next as they seem to have really nice smelling ones! I love this new sign I have in my room and think it gives my room a bit of character as it looks quite vintage!
What's your university bedroom like? How do you personalise your room?

Dropped another new video earlier in the day and this time it's a New Look Haul. I haven't done a New Look Haul in such a long time I thought it was about time I changed that. That and the fact I saw this Photo on the New Look Instagram. I snapped that up as well as a few other seasonal bits and bobs which will hopefully make my transition into spring a little easier!

  • Rodnik x Peanuts Makeup Bag

When I found this I wasn't actually in the market for a new makeup bag. I was just in Urban Outfitters with Zoe while she was looking for . Of course I ended up picking a few bits up including a silly valentines card, some hand cream and this makeup bag. Im always suckered into the bits by the till. Yeap, That kinda person.

It's part of the Rodnik x Peanuts collaboration - Rodnik are a super cool pop art inspired British label and Im sure most people are familiar with Peanuts! If you aren't then you really need to up your cartoon game. Snoopy... HELLO. Featuring some peeper illustrations and some really cool liquorice all-sorts this bag is seriously fun. This makeup bag is the perfect size for overnight trips and keeps all my makeup and brushes in the same place. Although it's already showing signs of getting a little bit grubby due to my makeup transferring everywhere and a little unexpected highlighter explosion! I love it none the less.

  • What To Wear To A Fashion Interview

    Pussybow Blouse - Topshop

Stripe Drape Front Blouse - Topshop

    Cigarette Stripe Trousers - Topshop

Pointed Toe Chelsea Boots - River Island

    Pinstripe Longline Blazer - Missguided

    High-waisted Cigarette Trousers - Missguided

Grey Check Trousers - New Look

    Chelsea Boots - River Island

When I was applying for jobs in retail a couple of years back during my first year of university I was always panicking over what to wear when it came to job interviews. I've had interviews for internships, jobs, university all within the fashion industry and thought It was time to share some of my knowledge when it comes to interviews and figuring out what to wear!

When looking for jobs online it's best to sign up to all the correct websites. It helps typing things like 'UK Job Search into google and get the best results. I look online on the retailers websites and see what jobs are available in their careers section and if i'm looking for a part time retail job I went to the nearest shopping centre to where I live and handed out cvs in the local stores.

Tips I'd give for what to wear for a job interview

1 - Dress smart, never wear anything to short and if you're having an interview with a certain brand try and wear the brands product to the interview.

2 - Smart trousers are your new best friend. Every girl has a cream blouse in there wardrobe but when it comes to a fashion interview never wear anything to plain. I love tailored trousers and there's some really gorgeous ones in at Topshop and Missguided at the moment.

3 - Invest in a good pair of shoes. I wear ankle boots to interviews and meetings and they've never let me down. I think with patterned trousers ankle boots are perfect. When it comes to looking for ankle boots I'd recommend River Island and New Look.

4 - Show your personal style. When it comes to interviews especially within the fashion industry it's great to show your own personal style but still look smart. So wear your favourite scarf or necklace, put on your favourite quirky socks with your boots make sure your personal style shines through your outfit.

5 - Wear a tailored/smart jacket. I have a coat which I always wear to interviews as it looks really professional. I think it's great for your wardrobe to have an interview jacket or interview coat and make sure it's versatile so you can wear it with many different outfits!

What do you wear to job interviews? What are your interview tips?

  • Travel Photography Equipment

I travelled quite a bit last year and I hope that I get to do the same this year too. I have a lot of plans for places I want to visit and countries I want to explore. One of the best thing I've ever done was to travel and capture my experience along teh way. The views were breathtaking. The people were vibrant and full of life and there was so much beautiful landscape I just wanted to capture it all. Today I thought I'd share my cameras and some of my travelling photography safety tips!
    What I UseD
When I went travelling around Asia in the summer I bought my Go Pro Hero 3 Black Edition (last photo) and my Sony NEX5R II. The Go Pro is the travellers choice of camera due to it's small size and the fact it's so durable. It can be strapped to almost anything, go under water and has a super wide angled lens which is perfect for a selfie. With a selfie stick - Naturally. The Sony NEX5R II is my normal on the go camera which I take

    SAFETY TIPS
I would recommend getting a camera strap with an adjustable wrist straps and ALWAYS put them around your wrist when taking photos so no one can knock the device out of your hands. Always get insurance on expensive items, you never know what might get stolen. Paying a bit extra to cover your gadgets is really important and will save you money in the long run. It's always good to be aware of your surroundings and be so careful. Take note of the things around you and what might be happening. Be smart and dont travel with cameras thats cost thousands of pounds either, while the image quality might be amazing, cheaper digital cameras can do a similar job and cost so much less!

    WHAT TO DO AFTER?
Getting your favourite photos printed is a must. While uploading them to Facebook is also pretty much everyones preferred method of sharing their snaps. I'd suggest using a online service to get them printed out. They are quick and easy to do and the perfect way to have a keepsake from your trip. I have a friend who travels a lot and swears by getting hers made into books. This way she can add captions and memories of her trips away as well as have something solid to hold in her hands to remind her of her time away. I really want to get on board with this and do this myself on my next trip! Part photo diary part journal, so when I look back at the images in 10, 15, 20 years time I'll remember the crazy experiences I had!

  • Benefit Rollerlash - Worth the Hype?

    BENEFIT ROLLERLASH*

Right off the bat Im going to say "I LIKE THIS MORE THAN THEY'RE REAL". Yup, the most iconic and probably the best selling mascara of all time has a rival... weirdly from the same brand. Benefit's latest drop in the form of Benefit Roller lash has blown me away and has the Lily Melrose seal of approval.

Designed to lift and curl the lashes in one step this stuff is the bomb. Finally a mascara that does what it claims. A few coats later and my lashes look lifted and super black without a clump in sight. Super inky black finish, plastic comb which is designed to get right into the corners of the eyes and not drying in the slightest. This mascara is perfect for minimal makeup days as it really opens up the eyes and adds drama without smudging or clumping.

Compared to They're Real it's 100% better. While I do sort of like They're Real, I've raved about in it the past thanks to it's volume boosting and lengthening properties but I always had a niggle - It's SO dry. The stuff would flake off within a few hours leaving me looking like some sort of panda with dry itchy eyes.

Benefit Rollerlash retails for £19.50 and is available on counter now

  • Dealing with Fomo

Fomo or Fear of Missing out is a real thing. FOMO is basically the fear of missing an exciting or interesting event may be currently happening elsewhere, often induced by posts seen on a social media website.

I think social media is the reason why this is such a thing these days although I think comparably it would be like “Keeping up with the Joneses” for our Parents generation. In 2015 there is a constant pressure to keep up with others and show how awesome our lives are at all times. It sure sucks seeing a photo of all your friends at some hip bar and your not there because you decided to turn it down for a night on Netflix. You know what it's like. You're trawling through the social networking sites and you can see amazing holiday snaps and relationship photos where everyone looks oh so happy. And there's a little part of us inside which thinks, "Why is my life not like that?!”

Im currently missing out on one of the biggest events in the blogging calendar. By choice of course and you can check my post on why I’m not attending LFW this season here but I can’t help but feel like Im missing out...

Today I thought I’d talk through some tips to deal with FOMO in the hope I take my own advice and help get myself out of a potential jealous rut.

    TURN IT OFF
Okay I know we are living in an age where turning off your phone feels like you’re having your hand lopped off but avoiding your phone for a bit and going outside can really clear your head. It’s so important to stop endlessly scrolling through other peoples lives and go out and enjoy your own! Switch your notifications off for a couple of hours and go relax!

    IT’S EDITED
Remember we are always only ever going to share the bright and fluffy sides of our lives online. When was the last time you saw someone Instagam their heating bill or when the toilet decided to break? No one including yourself show the troubles or the boring menial tasks in life. Social media is as filtered as that #nomakeup selfie. Incredibly edited and selectively put there probable with the inclination to make someone jealous. Lets face it, most of the time FOMO is often based on lies.

    LIVE FOR THE MOMENT
Prioritise things in your life that you enjoy rather than concerning yourself with what others are doing or what you could be doing. Live in the moment and enjoy your own life without being preoccupied by someone else’s. If you have a hobby or a sport go out and do that. Never attend things you think you should attend because everyone else is going. Make the best use of your own time rather than trying to keep up with others. Live for the moment and make the most of the time you have.

    BE THANKFUL
Every time you find yourself with that niggling left out feeling you should try and be thankful for all the wonderful things you do have. Dont pine for someone you knew at college but never spoke to but randomly added you on Facebook a few years ago’s life. Think of all the little things that make your life happpy and reflect on those.

    BE CURIOUS NOT JEALOUS
I personally think a little green eyed monster sometimes can be really healthy. Let FOMO motivated and inspire you to do and try new things.Sometimes the fear of missing something might motivate you to do something you might have never wanted to do before. For example if you see someones awesome trip round the world, ask them about it rather than sulkily stalk them for hours. Let them be a catalyst for maybe going on your own trip or planning an adventure of your own.

So there are a few tips on how I deal with FOMO - But the bottom line is don’t let it get you down. I think we all experience FOMO to some degree and it’s mainly down to social media. Don’t listen to the social media hype train and try not to let it bother you too much. To quote Fun for Louis:

    "Peace out,
    Enjoy life,
    Live the adventure"

  • Fashion: Steal Her Style - Kylie Jenner

One of the 'IT' girls at the moment is Kylie Jenner. Everywhere you go you hear about the Kardashians and the Jenners and absolutely everything they're up to. I can't go a day in my life without hearing about the Kardashians and so I thought this post would be great for all you Kardashian fans! I don't personally watch the show but I do like the Jenners style and sometimes even Kim Kardashian's style (the less controversial stuff obviously!) Here's how you can steal Kylie Jenner's look on the high-street!

Scoop Neck Crop Top - Topshop
Grey Ripped Joni Jeans - Topshop
Multi Rip Skinny Jeans - Missguided
    Mac Spirit Lipstick - Selfridges
Black Cleated Platform Boots - River Island
Black Sheer Ribbed Crop Top - River Island
    Ripped Mom Jeans - Topshop
Powder Blue Coat - Missguided (in the sale for £20)
I love all these items in this wishlist. I think most of what Kylie Jenner wears is very casual and things every girl wears. I'm still loving the ripped jeans trend at the moment especially with ankle boots and trainers. Everyone knows about the Kylie Jenner/Velvet Teddy/Soar Lip Liner situation and the closest lipstick I've tried like Velvet Teddy is Spirit. It's so similar in shade and both colours are gorgeous! Kylie has been seen sporting knee high boots a few times and this pair from River Island is perfect. To attempt the Kylie Jenner look team a white tee, ripped jeans with a duster coat like this one from Missguided!

  • Sponsored Post: YSL Luxurious Mascara with Cara Delevingne #YSLMASCARA

With so many mascara launches every month it's hard to keep on top sometimes. First Miss Manga by L'Oreal, Roller Lash by Benefit and now Luxurious Mascara from Yves Saint Laurent. This mascara claims to be the formulation which YSL have produced and gives a false lash effect in a single stroke.

The triple-film complex remains unchanged in this mascara. It has a coating film for intensity, a conditioning film for curve and a fixing film for long-lasting effectiveness. The brush applicator combines nylon fibres of varying diameters for volume enhancement to give lashes even more of a false lash effect. The mascara is available in six signature shades and is intensely pigmented to create an intense look on lashes.

With Cara Delevingne being well known for her perfect make up, this mascara is being endorsed by the right celebrity! I've always wanted to try out a high-end mascara as I always just end up picking up a drug store mascara when it's a 3 for 2 make up deal in Boots or Superdrug.

I've always wanted to try a more high end mascara and after reading tens of reviews about this one on blogs, websites and in videos I really want to try this! I'd love a mascara to stop me from wearing false eyelashes on a night out!

  • My first Fashion Trainers

Adidas Originals Stan Smith Leopard via Foot Asylum*

Ask me a few years ago if I’d ever consider wearing trainers then you’d get a big fat hell to the nope. Trainers for me have always been something to be worn exclusively for sport and even then it was a struggle to even find ones I liked then. Fashion Trainers became a thing circa 2014 and show no signs of leaving the fash pack any time soon. In the spirit of at least trying to embrace a trend I got heavily into Skate shoes - Although that’s debatable if that came with the fact I’ve basically reverted back to the 2005 emo version of myself. Checkerboard Vans forevz.

I’d tweeted about these particular Stan Smith trainers and the guys at Foot Asylum noticed my tweet and offered them to me. I was a few clicks away from purchasing them myself but I thought, what the hell. So I accepted in the hopes to try something new.

I haven’t regretted it one bit - These bad boys have barely left my feet. Super comfy, easy to wear and slipped right into my everyday dressing without fault. The leopard print brings out my secret scene kid without being over bearing and the black with white sole is chic and minimal. Paired with a pair of Jamie Jeans, a vest top and a longline duster it's a outfit made in sartorial laziness heaven.

I'll feature them in a proper outfit post soon but damn - I had to rave. I never got trainers as an actual fashion item but now I think I get it. Stylish and comfy. What more could a girl want?

  • Monochrome, as Always

I've already sung the praises of my epic furry clutch but I thought I'd share the rest of the look too. Im sporting a cowl neck jumper from Boohoo. I kinda ignore Boohoo sometimes but every time I head onto the site I end up adding a bunch of their bits to my basket and walking away with much more than I plan! I love this monochrome jumper as it looks awesome and is a fun and warm piece for the still cooler months.

I'm also rocking Charlotte Tilbury Glastonberry - a must have if you're looking for a super dark purple berry lip. It's honestly one of my favourite lip colours and one of those shades that looks stunning on pretty much everyone. Totally keep and eye out for it if you're in the market for a bold lip shade.

  • Ways to Wear A Faux Fur Gilet

Black Polo Neck Top - Topshop
Faux Fur Gilet - Pretty Little Thing* (Similar Here and here)
    Black High-Waisted Jeans - Topshop
Knee High Boots - Daniel Footwear* (Similar here and here)
I find that lately my style has become more and more simple. I used to love wearing patterned trousers everyday to be a bit more daring but lately I always seem to find myself wearing my trusty black joni jeans. I don't know what I'd do without these jeans, they're my 'go-to' jeans when I don't really know what to wear.

Black Polo Neck Top - Topshop
Faux Fur Gilet - Pretty Little Thing* (Similar Here and here)
    Black High-Waisted Jeans - Topshop

I recently wore this to my boyfriend mums birthday meal. I wanted to feel comfortable but still have a stylish edge. Ever since I added this faux fur gilet to my wardrobe I've loved it. It's different to the typical faux fur gilet available on the high-street as it's cream and not grey or black. I thought this gilet would look great with a black polo neck and black knee high boots for a simple look.

  • Charlotte Tilbury Newness

Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourite people ever. She’s one of the coolest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and is SO switched on when it comes to all things beauty and makeup. She just knows… y’know.

This month she’s dropped a bunch of fab new products to her already stacked makeup line. New to the product lineup are the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Renewing Honeybee Scrub, Charlotte Tilbury Rejuvenating Smoothing Propolis Balm and a bunch of new shades to her Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Line.

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Renewing Honeybee Scrub contains natural sugar crystals that slough off dead skin cells in a super rich cream. Hydrating and exfoliating in one step. Charlotte Tilbury Rejuvenating Smoothing Propolis Balm is a breakthrough lip balm which works wonders at healing the lips and creating a powerful lip protecting barrier. Packed with goodies such as Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Argan Oil, Shea Butter and Beeswax. Used in tandem these two are the perfect prep and prime duo for smoother, kissable lips.

You may be familiar with the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, it’s a seriously hyped product in the blogging world - Trust me it’s a doozy. I love it and have worn mine down to a nub! C Tilbs has launched 5 new shades in darker tones which are designed to rebuild the lip shape and keep your lipstick in place at the same time. I received the super dark Bad Romance shade coincidentally the perfect liner for Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Glastonberry. I always have issues with applying the deep plum of Glastonberry without it feathering around my lips and Bad Romance keeps things in place like a dream.

Big thumbs up all round for these products. I’d totally love the Charlotte Tilbury Rejuvenating Smoothing Propolis Balm. Lanolin based products seem to work best for my chapped lips but I have to admit I have a soft spot for this balm. Tastes dreamy too. Plus the extra Lip Cheat shades are a welcome addition to her range. Yup. Big Fan.

  • Beauty: The £5 Velvet Teddy MAC Lipstick Dupe

MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick - Selfridges
Lip Liner in Ceramic - Topshop

After months of trying to track down MAC's Velvet Teddy Lipstick I managed to pick it up in Duty free on the way to Dublin at Birmingham Airport just over a week ago. I've been in love with this lipstick every since and have worn it most days. It seems that so many of you are looking for a cheaper way to recreate Kylie Jenner's nude lipstick.

I've been looking on the high-street for months now for a matte nude which I loved and didn't have to buy another MAC one as they're expensive! A few days ago I noticed the lip liners in Topshop and oh my god watching this against Velvet Teddy you can't tell the difference between them. The best bit? This liner is only £5!

I think lip liners are so important when finishing off your make up look. When I line my lips, I tend to do it all over my lip (not just the outside) and then top it off with one of my favourite nudes from MAC. My current favourite nude lipsticks from MAC are Velvet Teddy, Faux and Honey Love.

MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick - Selfridges
Lip Liner in Ceramic - Topshop

As you can see from the swatches, this lip liner and Velvet Teddy are VERY similar. I couldn't tell the difference for ages after applying them on my hands. The one on the left is the lip liner and on the right is Velvet Teddy. If you're looking for a perfect dupe without buying the Lipstick for £15.50, Definitely pick up this liner it's only £5! I would use the lip liner all over the lip to create the perfect Kylie Jenner lip. What's better is if you're a student and have your student card you can save a further 50p! Every little helps right?!

What do you think of this Velvet Teddy dupe? Will you be picking up this lip liner on your next spree in Topshop?

  • That 70's Trend

As I'm sure I've said before Im so iffy on the 70's trend. It really isn't my taste at all but in the spirit of at least trying something new I decided to purchase this little suede camel number from Boohoo and attempt to make it more "me". Much to my surprise I actually really liked how it looked on me! It's a really nice shade of warm camel which is sorely missing in my predominantly black wardrobe. Camel is just a universally flattering colour and goes with pretty much everything! To be honest I dont think I'll be embracing the 70's trend fully. I don't think it's something I'll be getting into this SS. It's just one of those trends Im going to have to love on other people but hate on myself. Sigh!
