    Keeping Motivated as a Blogger

I feel like I've been a bit MIA on the blog recently. I've had a spot of bloggers block... not even bloggers block it's been more of bit of a dip in creativity. I'm currently working on something pretty epic which I've been doing since the middle of last year which I feel has taken up all my day to day thinking power. I took some time out this afternoon to reflect on things and thing about myself and how exactly I keep motivated as a blogger.

Sometimes there is this huge struggle to constantly come up with new, fresh and innovative ideas. Especially when it feels like everything has already been done by someone else. Bloggers block and keeping motivated come hand it hand. The lul in blogging you’re experiencing is something that even the most seasoned blogger will deal with. Coming from experience here are some of my ways to get over the blogging dip.

Why did you start blogging in the first place? Chances are your putting too much pressure upon yourself. Often people come to me and say they have give up blogging because they stopped enjoying it. Remember that blogging shouldn’t be an obligation. It should always be something that you want to do! The key is to tap back into the enthusiasm you started your blog with and look at he situation with fresh eyes.

What part of blogging really excites you? Is it the writing, image making, sharing or the social side? Keep the love in blogging alive rather than dwelling on the negatives. Like with everything in life always do what you love rather than focusing on the aspects you don’t. Avoid the parts you don’t like for a bit (for me it’s the administration and emails side) and throw yourself into the exciting parts. Take photos, pour your heart and share your thoughts with the world.

When bloggers blog gets my truly stuck in a rut I like to just consider a few thingsConsider all the aspects that make you like a blog and consider how you can apply them to your own website. Is it writing longer columns, upping your photography game or exploring new areas? There is no harm in day dreaming about where you might want your blog to take you! Often dreams for the future are a great way to stay motivated and push you forward.

Im not quite sure of where Im going to go next in my blogging journey but writing this little plan of action has made me motivated to start again come tomorrow and think about things in a different way.

    Epic Faux Fur Clutch

Sometimes I buy things and think they deserve a whole post of their own -This monster of a clutch bag being one of them. I've already sung the praises of faux fur acessories towards the end of last year and that hype train is still running strong. This epic clutch is from ASOS and sort of reminds me of a pillow slash my cat Aerys. Oversized fur clutches are having a real moment at the moment and totally worth investing in for spring. They are the kinda thing you can carry on throughout the year and get a ton of wear out of them. I'm a big fan.

    Dealing with Fomo

Fomo or Fear of Missing out is a real thing. FOMO is basically the fear of missing an exciting or interesting event may be currently happening elsewhere, often induced by posts seen on a social media website.

I think social media is the reason why this is such a thing these days although I think comparably it would be like “Keeping up with the Joneses” for our Parents generation. In 2015 there is a constant pressure to keep up with others and show how awesome our lives are at all times. It sure sucks seeing a photo of all your friends at some hip bar and your not there because you decided to turn it down for a night on Netflix. You know what it's like. You're trawling through the social networking sites and you can see amazing holiday snaps and relationship photos where everyone looks oh so happy. And there's a little part of us inside which thinks, "Why is my life not like that?!”

Im currently missing out on one of the biggest events in the blogging calendar. By choice of course and you can check my post on why I’m not attending LFW this season here but I can’t help but feel like Im missing out...

Today I thought I’d talk through some tips to deal with FOMO in the hope I take my own advice and help get myself out of a potential jealous rut.

Okay I know we are living in an age where turning off your phone feels like you’re having your hand lopped off but avoiding your phone for a bit and going outside can really clear your head. It’s so important to stop endlessly scrolling through other peoples lives and go out and enjoy your own! Switch your notifications off for a couple of hours and go relax!

Remember we are always only ever going to share the bright and fluffy sides of our lives online. When was the last time you saw someone Instagam their heating bill or when the toilet decided to break? No one including yourself show the troubles or the boring menial tasks in life. Social media is as filtered as that #nomakeup selfie. Incredibly edited and selectively put there probable with the inclination to make someone jealous. Lets face it, most of the time FOMO is often based on lies.

Prioritise things in your life that you enjoy rather than concerning yourself with what others are doing or what you could be doing. Live in the moment and enjoy your own life without being preoccupied by someone else’s. If you have a hobby or a sport go out and do that. Never attend things you think you should attend because everyone else is going. Make the best use of your own time rather than trying to keep up with others. Live for the moment and make the most of the time you have.

Every time you find yourself with that niggling left out feeling you should try and be thankful for all the wonderful things you do have. Dont pine for someone you knew at college but never spoke to but randomly added you on Facebook a few years ago’s life. Think of all the little things that make your life happpy and reflect on those.

I personally think a little green eyed monster sometimes can be really healthy. Let FOMO motivated and inspire you to do and try new things.Sometimes the fear of missing something might motivate you to do something you might have never wanted to do before. For example if you see someones awesome trip round the world, ask them about it rather than sulkily stalk them for hours. Let them be a catalyst for maybe going on your own trip or planning an adventure of your own.

So there are a few tips on how I deal with FOMO - But the bottom line is don’t let it get you down. I think we all experience FOMO to some degree and it’s mainly down to social media. Don’t listen to the social media hype train and try not to let it bother you too much. To quote Fun for Louis:

    "Peace out,
    Enjoy life,
    Live the adventure"

Fashion: Steal Her Style - Kylie Jenner

One of the 'IT' girls at the moment is Kylie Jenner. Everywhere you go you hear about the Kardashians and the Jenners and absolutely everything they're up to. I can't go a day in my life without hearing about the Kardashians and so I thought this post would be great for all you Kardashian fans! I don't personally watch the show but I do like the Jenners style and sometimes even Kim Kardashian's style (the less controversial stuff obviously!) Here's how you can steal Kylie Jenner's look on the high-street!

Scoop Neck Crop Top - Topshop
Grey Ripped Joni Jeans - Topshop
Multi Rip Skinny Jeans - Missguided
    Mac Spirit Lipstick - Selfridges
Black Cleated Platform Boots - River Island
Black Sheer Ribbed Crop Top - River Island
    Ripped Mom Jeans - Topshop
Powder Blue Coat - Missguided (in the sale for £20)
I love all these items in this wishlist. I think most of what Kylie Jenner wears is very casual and things every girl wears. I'm still loving the ripped jeans trend at the moment especially with ankle boots and trainers. Everyone knows about the Kylie Jenner/Velvet Teddy/Soar Lip Liner situation and the closest lipstick I've tried like Velvet Teddy is Spirit. It's so similar in shade and both colours are gorgeous! Kylie has been seen sporting knee high boots a few times and this pair from River Island is perfect. To attempt the Kylie Jenner look team a white tee, ripped jeans with a duster coat like this one from Missguided!

What do you think of Kylie Jenners look? Which items your favourite from the wishlist?

Sponsored Post: YSL Luxurious Mascara with Cara Delevingne #YSLMASCARA

With so many mascara launches every month it's hard to keep on top sometimes. First Miss Manga by L'Oreal, Roller Lash by Benefit and now Luxurious Mascara from Yves Saint Laurent. This mascara claims to be the formulation which YSL have produced and gives a false lash effect in a single stroke.

The triple-film complex remains unchanged in this mascara. It has a coating film for intensity, a conditioning film for curve and a fixing film for long-lasting effectiveness. The brush applicator combines nylon fibres of varying diameters for volume enhancement to give lashes even more of a false lash effect. The mascara is available in six signature shades and is intensely pigmented to create an intense look on lashes.

With Cara Delevingne being well known for her perfect make up, this mascara is being endorsed by the right celebrity! I've always wanted to try out a high-end mascara as I always just end up picking up a drug store mascara when it's a 3 for 2 make up deal in Boots or Superdrug.

I've always wanted to try a more high end mascara and after reading tens of reviews about this one on blogs, websites and in videos I really want to try this! I'd love a mascara to stop me from wearing false eyelashes on a night out!

You can watch the advert for the mascara featuring Cara Delevingne here:

    My first Fashion Trainers

Adidas Originals Stan Smith Leopard via Foot Asylum*

Ask me a few years ago if I’d ever consider wearing trainers then you’d get a big fat hell to the nope. Trainers for me have always been something to be worn exclusively for sport and even then it was a struggle to even find ones I liked then. Fashion Trainers became a thing circa 2014 and show no signs of leaving the fash pack any time soon. In the spirit of at least trying to embrace a trend I got heavily into Skate shoes - Although that’s debatable if that came with the fact I’ve basically reverted back to the 2005 emo version of myself. Checkerboard Vans forevz.

I’d tweeted about these particular Stan Smith trainers and the guys at Foot Asylum noticed my tweet and offered them to me. I was a few clicks away from purchasing them myself but I thought, what the hell. So I accepted in the hopes to try something new.

I haven’t regretted it one bit - These bad boys have barely left my feet. Super comfy, easy to wear and slipped right into my everyday dressing without fault. The leopard print brings out my secret scene kid without being over bearing and the black with white sole is chic and minimal. Paired with a pair of Jamie Jeans, a vest top and a longline duster it's a outfit made in sartorial laziness heaven.

I'll feature them in a proper outfit post soon but damn - I had to rave. I never got trainers as an actual fashion item but now I think I get it. Stylish and comfy. What more could a girl want?

    That 70's Trend

As I'm sure I've said before Im so iffy on the 70's trend. It really isn't my taste at all but in the spirit of at least trying something new I decided to purchase this little suede camel number from Boohoo and attempt to make it more "me". Much to my surprise I actually really liked how it looked on me! It's a really nice shade of warm camel which is sorely missing in my predominantly black wardrobe. Camel is just a universally flattering colour and goes with pretty much everything! To be honest I dont think I'll be embracing the 70's trend fully. I don't think it's something I'll be getting into this SS. It's just one of those trends Im going to have to love on other people but hate on myself. Sigh!

    Reasons to Spring Clean

Spring cleaning is one of those things I absolutely dread. It’s boring and a chore that I’d rather just keep at the bottom of my overflowing to-do list.BUT with the new year came a fresh start and I felt like there was no time like the present to give my house a good ol’ fashioned spring clean. Armed with a few tips from readings blogs online and a few days of the dreaded “it’s getting worse before it gets better” I managed to spruce up my bedroom and my house.

    - Get rid of unwanted bits and bobs and give back. Give you’re unwanted and unused belongings to charity or friends. You might not need or want some of your belongings but someone in need might! When sorting out my wardrobe I always try to put together at least one big bag of clothes to give to my local charities. It just makes me feel good that Im cleaning out my clutter as well as

    - You can invite people round without having to say “It’s not normally this messy!”. I swear every time a friend comes over they either comment on my clutter or on the fact my room is exceptionally tidy.

    - It helps switching up your surroundings. Getting a little bit creative is good for the mind! Pop up a few new posters or add a few house plants on shelves. Moving your belongings around a little can really change thing up. Moving your sofa or your bed positioning . I always feel moving things around is a great way to feel like you’ve redecorated without actually buying anything new!

    - Cleaning is therapeutic. I always think having a clear out is a great way to reduce stress and clear your mind. Theres something about a clutter free organised space that makes me feel more productive, where as disorganisation can make me feel unproductive

    - You have that smug sense of achievement when you’ve finished. Especially when it's a big cleaning or sorting out project. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing all your belongings all neat, tidy and organised. I honestly feel so much joy when I open my wardrobe and it’s not all bundled in the bottom in a lump but everything is hung up nicely and in an somewhat organised fashion. It also makes dressing 10000 times easier.

I always thought the notion of a spring clean was a bit lame but now I see it as a must. Even just a little bit of sorting out has cleared my mind and the space around me. Which in turn has really helped me become more productive and happier in my working and day to day enviroment. Revitalising my mind and making me motivated to start a fresh. I'd totally recommend it!

    This Weeks High-Street Picks #30

As i've probably said many times before these are my favourite posts to create! Being a fashion student it's extremely hard not to spend all your money on clothes. So posts like this are a great to window shop but not actually buy anything. These are the items I wish I could add to my wardrobe this season...
    Camel Sleeveless Coat - Missguided
Vertical Stripe Top - New Look
Nothing To Wear Tee - New Look
Mom Stone Wash Jeans - Missguided
    Ripped Joni Jeans - Topshop
    Collar Necklace - Topshop
Stripe Halterneck Jumpsuit - Pretty Little Thing
Camel Coats seem to be everywhere this season and this sleeveless number from Missguided is a great way to update your wardrobe for spring. I think with a black long sleeved top, pair of jeans and fedora hat this coat would look perfect. New Look have really upped their game when it's come to clothing lately. I'm loving the vertical striped top, I think it would great with cream jeans and black boots on a sunny day. (When we ever have them in the UK!)
I've got a feeling that for spring/summer mom jeans are going to make a comeback. You don't have to splash out on a £40 pair either! This pair from Missguided are a total bargain at £25! Halterneck Jumpsuits are everywhere at the moment and I love Pretty Little Thing's spin on the trend. This jumpsuit is in the style of Kylie Jenner as well. All the more reason to buy it right?!

    Off The Shoulder

Zara Off Shoulder Top & Zara Cross Body

Gosh my fringe is in dire need of a good ol' trim! I am currently thinking of growing it out and having a flipped over side part a la Kylie Jenner but Im not 100% sure yet! Forever playing around with my hair. I often wonder if I'll be satisfied with it!

This is one of my favourite outfits I've posted for goodness knows how long! If youre a long time follower then you'll know that Im not that into Zara. I really rarely wear stuff from one of the most popular ~blogger~ shopping location! I do like it but its just a weird place and I dont really enjoy shopping their. I picked up a few bits online thought including this cross body, off the shoulder top and this rose gold bag that I blogged about last week.

The off the shoulder top is super cute and so flattering on. It skims all the areas I like skimmed and covers my arms which all of a sudden I've become paranoid about. I paired it with a simple leather jacket, pointed shoes and a good pair of pointed flats. It's a simple but chic look that I often wear at the moment! Im still living in jeans despite the weather slowly warming up as time goes on. I honestly cant wait to ditch the tights and the long trousers and go for midi skirts and pretty girly dresses! Bring on the summer.

    Best Drugstore Foundation Ever

I dont think I've ever sung the praises of a drugstore foundation as much as Im currently doing with the L'Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation. It's a full coverage matte foundation that gives an awesome luminous but high coverage natural finish. It doesn't look cakey or dry and just sits so nicely on the skin. Im the shade Vanilla which is a pretty exact match for my skintone and I adore it. While I would never wear a foundation for 24 hours so I cant comment on that side of it, but this is a super long lasting foundation even without a primer. BIG LOVE.

    Instagram Outfits #1

I post a lot on Instagram. If you dont follow me over there then you really should do. Just sayin'! I share quite a lot of snippets of my outfits over on the platform - some outfits that never make it into proper outfit posts. So I thought I'd start a new lil feature called Instagram Outfits. It'll be every once in a while when I have a few banked up that I can post but I thought it would be fun. Plus they'll be totally shoppable so you dont have to trawl through my old posts trying to find out where things are from!

    Summer Launches for YSL

YSL Touche Eclat Rock Lace Edition* & YSL Couture Palette Rock Resille Edition*

Oh Hello new YSL Bits! It's (almost) summertime and time for another LE YSL collection. This time Polka dot and lace packaging for summer. The YSL Touche Eclat Rock Lace Edition and the brand spanking new YSL Couture Palette Rock Resille Edition.

It was love at first sight, the packaging is right up my street and the palette is a proper doozy. I often find the limited edition Couture Palettes tend to have a good few shades and the rest are a bit bold. As a fan of peachy pinks and corals on my eyes this was always going to be a bit of a hit. Each shade is something that I would use without and duds. Classic but edgy and a mixture of warm and cool tones of 5 shades to create a variety of eye looks. Super fine, soft and blendable whats not to love!

The YSL Touche Eclat Rock Lace Edition is is a repackage of a beauty classic that if you haven't tried yet then I'd totally recommend giving it a go. I used to not be wowed by YSL Touch Eclat but it ha grown on me. Light reflecting and aluminising it's a standard in most girls beauty bags. The packaging is super cute too, I really like the simplicity and boldness of the print. It's gorgeous!

Fashion: Air and Grace Leopard Print Boots

One thing I've always loved buying is a pair of shoes. Being 1 of 4 girls in my house my clothes end up in everyone else's wardrobe but mine, but with shoes I'm the only one with big feet (YES!) so nobody steals them. I always think with shoes it's worth paying that little bit more for a pair that you'll really love.
I wanted to share with you all a new shoe love in my life. My new air and grace boots, I chose the jak and jill pair* as they're absolutely stunning. My mum wasn't much of a fan of them but everyone else seems to love them and they're definitely a conversation starter.

I'm a massive fan of cut-out boots as they look so good all year round. I can't wait to wear these boots in the summer when it gets warmer. These boots are the most amazing quality, I have never had a pair of shoes made so well. I have a feeling they'll be a firm favourite in my wardrobe for years and years to come! They have a leather and pony hair finish and air and grace have also made the boots with a foamy cushion so they are super comfortable to walk in.

I feel like these boots are a great edition to my wardrobe and they're so wearable all year round. You'll be definitely seeing these babies in lots of outfit posts in the coming days/weeks/months as I've not really taken these boots off yet!

This post is SPONSORED by Nivea

Micellar Water has been a thing for a while but it seems to be having it’s moment on the highstreet right now. Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water is a super gentle micellar water which is an essential for every busy modern girls beauty bag. It’s ultimate time saving essential!

Nivea’s offering is much more affordable price point and designed specifically for sensitive skin. It’s speedy, refreshing and incredible so effective as part of a makeup removal cleansing routine. It leaves the skin completely free of makeup absolutely minimal effort.

All I do is soak a couple of cotton pads in the magical watery solution and wipe all over my face to remove any trace of makeup. Due to it’s gentle formula it’s also perfect for eyes! A little trick for the eye area is to run a cotton bud coated in the water under the eyes to make sure every scrap of makeup is removed.

Micellar water is so kind to the skin and much more skin friendly than using traditional face wipes - as these often dry the skin out and leave it feeling tight. Great for A must in any speedy girl’s beauty routine!

    Travelling... Again!

So as I mentioned in my Contiki Travel Styles post (and numerous times on Twitter) Im off on another Contiki Adventure. Where this time? IM GOING TO JAPAN!!!!!

Im off on a special 9-day blogger and vloggger’s only trip around Japan to some of some of the country’s most culturally-rich cities. Japan Unrivalled sounds like must-do trip. I’ll be kicking off in Tokyo and heading to Takayama, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Wakayama and Osaka. I’ll be exploring the unique cultures of each city. Well be getting a real taste for Japan with a sushi making class, a visit to the hot springs, a karaoke night and an overnight stay at a traditional Ryokan guest house.

I am so excited about this trip as it’s a total dream come true. Japan is a bucket list place to visit and is just going to be unlike any of the other places I’ve visited before. One of the best parts about the trip is that Im heading over the sea with one of my all time favourite blogger babes Victoria from In The Frow. Seriously guys. Im stoked! It’s going to be a trip that I’ll never ever forget. I’ll be vlogging my experience over on my second channel (although I might upload when Im back rather than daily!) and updating you constantly via Instagram and Twitter so keep your peepers on there for live updates! I’ll be doing full blog posts about each day when Im back too. It’s Cherry Blossom season so expect some amazing pics!

Check Pyjama Shorts - New Look

Although we’ve all been dazzled by the glamorous and extravagant creations on display at the recent fashion shows, the catwalk always seems to suffer a lack of offerings for lazing around the house! So I’ve compiled a quick report on what looks to be the top fashion trends for those wonderful days where we can be at ease and relax at home in our own loungewear.

    Stylish loungewear

Although many of us may have been tempted by the dubious delights of the onesie, it now seems that we’ve just about seen the back of this item of clothing! The highly reliable Stylist magazine has some excellent pointers in lounging alternatives such as cuddly jumpers, luxurious slippers, and who could resist this deluxe wool and cashmere poncho – perfect for those lazy afternoons in front of the television. And the increasingly influential Not On The High Street retailer is also displaying some great innovations in loungewear. With more ponchos on offer, as well as some luxurious kimonos, it’s all about getting layered up in cool, rich colours and fantastic textures.

On those long and lazy days, the boundary line between bed and sofa can become increasingly blurry. So it’s always a good idea to make sure that your bedwear can be worn around the house too! ASOS has some great products that range from cute lounge shorts, to a great range of pyjamas that are perfect for roaming around the house. Many celebrities caused a micro-trend last year by wearing thicker pyjama tops outside of the house, but it’s often best to keep your sleeping materials light this can seriously affect how you sleep. While you’re debating your sleeping outfit, it might be a good time to check out Bedstar to make sure your bed is equally fashionable!

What is often overlooked in loungewear fashion is the importance of texture. It’s all about staying warm, cosy, and yet not overheating. Good textures and fabrics to aim for would include cashmere, silk, velvet and satin. But whilst silk pyjamas may feel like the height of luxury, they might not be able to withstand the cooler British nights. Cashmere is therefore an excellent option for chic loungewear. Whether it be a luxury cashmere jumper, or even just a throw, the best thing about cashmere is the way that you can layer it to great effect. And when it comes to keeping your feet warm, the slipper is a lifesaver for all of us. Some may opt for the classically understated velvet slipper, whilst others may prefer the stylish sheepskin model. But whatever style you choose, make sure it’s comfortable, warm and you’ll feel so much better from the inside out!

    Beauty: My Make-up Removal Essentials

I always find posts like this on others peoples blogs really interesting, so I thought I'd share with you all what I use to remove my make up! When I'm feeling lazy I'll use No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes which are really good and taking my make up off with when I just want a quick fix or when I'm feeling a little lazy. Recently in the past few months I've been getting more into using cleansing waters to take my make up off. I tried the L'oreal micellar cleansing water and I wasn't a huge fan of it and then on a boots offer I discovered Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and I feel like it's changed my life!

I use just basic cotton pads (you can pick some up pretty much anywhere) with the micellar water at night to take off my make up. Since welcoming the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette into my life I've got a lot more into eye make up. I picked up the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Make-up Remover and it's made taking my eye make up off so much easier. I find that when I use these garnier products it leaves my skin super soft. After using the cleansing water and express 2 in 1 make-up remover, I use another cotton pad and the Garnier Softening Toner to finish my routine off.
I find my skin has improved since using these Garnier products I'd definitely recommend them as they always seem to be on offer when I pop into Boots or Superdrug!
What do you use to take your make-up off? Do you have any products to recommend?

Fashion: 5 Style Lessons Rachel Green Taught Us

Like me, you're probably a little bit addicted to watching Friends. When I have a spare half hour I'll turn on Comedy Central and catch up on whatever Friends episode they're airing. I have seen every episode of Friends a few too many times. I fell in love with Rachel Green's style and despite being a show shot in the 90's her style is very relevant today.

    1. Checkered skirts are always a good idea.
    2.Layering clothes is always trendy.
    3. Oversized clothing is the way forward.
    4. Dungarees are definitely appropriate for adults to wear.
    5. Turtlenecks are a style essential.

    Eyelash Extensions

Eyelashes by Daxita Vaghela @ Atherton Cox*
    020 7487 4048

Once again I’ve flipped over to the eyelash extension side. I was fickle about going back after it ravaged my lashes but after heading to Daxita Vaghela for a lash extension treatment I’ve not looked back.

Daxita is a lovely person and I felt so so comfortable in her hands. She really knows her stuff and I cannot rave about her services. She really listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. I explained how I wanted natural but full, black lashes. I didn’t want super fake over the top looking ones, just natural fluttery lashes.

The lashes actually lasted me about 4 weeks, although some naturally shed even after those 4 weeks I still had tons of lashes left on. Typically when I’ve had my lashes done in the past I was left with ropey looking spider lashes within two weeks.

Lash extensions are expensive, and the upkeep is going to be hard if you have to keep paying to get them redone or filled in. But honestly I cannot rave about how much more confident they’ve made me feel. I feel like I wear less makeup overall and I don’t even mind how I look makeup free. Something about fluttering long lashes just makes me feel really pretty y’know?

Im 100% getting them done again and I can see this becoming a proper addiction! Oops.

    Magic Skin Balm

Coconut oil is a wonder balm for a variety of skin aliments. It an all round magic skin balm. Coconut oil has a variety of health benefits when used in cooking such as regulating blood sugar, fighting heart disease and improve the immune system. But used topically it can help a variety of skin, hair and body issues. In fact I’d place a bet that you could replace all pretty much all of your beauty regime with Coconut Oil if you wanted to!

Here are my favourite ways to use Coconut Oil:

Lip Treatment - Perfect for chapped lips Skin Softner - Smoothed into the elbows or knee’s to soften dry skin.

Makeup Remover - Ideal for removing makeup without the use of chemicals.

Shaving Balm - Close shave and a moisturiser at the same time.

Deep Conditioner - Left in the hair overnight to leave the hair looking shiny and smooth.
Hand Balm - Rubbed into chapped palms to instantly soften the skin
Hair Oil - Applied to the ends of the hair to smooth and tame frizz.
Body Scrub - Combine coconut oil and sugar.
Massage Oil - Great choice for a massage oil as it’s not too greasy and smells lovely.
After Sun- Highly moisturising so great for sun exposure.
Homemade Toothpaste - Combine equal coconut oil and baking soda & sweeten with stevia.
Oil Pulling - Swished around the mouth like mouthwash to reduce bacteria.
Hair Mask - Use overnight on the hair for a super nourishing natural hair mask.

Seriously there are so many ways you can use the stuff. For me I like it best when used as a hair mask. Left overnight it leaves my hair looking shiney, managable and easy to tame. I'm converted to the Coconut Oil side. I buy my Coconut Oil from M&S but you can pick it up in most supermarkets in the health food sections. It also tastes awesome on food, I like to use it when roasting sweet potato for a subtle coconutty taste. Yum!

    New Fedora

Yeah I got myself a new Fedora. What are you going to do about it. Im well aware at this point I have a bit of an addiction to the hat but I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. A life saver on bad hair days and very chic at the same time… whats not to like! Zoe said to me recently "I dont think I've seen you without a Fedora in months" This is probably true. I LOVE EM.

I had my eye on these Catarzi hats from ASOS for a while. There was something about them that looked a million times nicer quality than the ones that currently grace my head. Boy was I not wrong, Im absolutely obsessed with this one. It's a little larger than my usual fedora's and the quality of the fabric is just exquisite. A solid 10/10 on the hat scale!

Shopbop are really killing it when it comes to Clutch Bags at the moment. Fashion: How To Steal Monica Gellar's Style

One things for sure I'm pretty addicted to watching Friends. Whenever I have a moment of doubt or worry, if I have time I'll put an episode of friends on. Lot of you loved my post about the 5 Style Lessons Rachel Green Taught Us so I've decided to do another post about friends style. Monica Gellar in Friends is somewhat underestimated in the show for her style. A lot of what she wears has come back into fashion and she is always laid back and effortlessly stylish. I love how she pairs a polo neck with flared jeans, loves an oversized t-shirt and is not afraid to wear checks!

Beauty: The £4.99 Velvet Teddy Dupe

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

Having managed to have picked up MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy I've barely worn another lip colour since. As Velvet Teddy is sold out everywhere i'm eager to find a cheaper alternative which is just as good as the original. First I came across this Velvet Teddy dupe which was only £5 but since picking up this lip pencil and comparing it with Velvet Teddy this is another dupe and a penny cheaper at £4.99!

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy - Selfridges
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 140

The main difference between this lip pencil and velvet teddy is that it's more moisturising. The colour isn't as bold once it's applied to the lip but when watched they look like the same colour. I have to say I do prefer Velvet Teddy as the colour is matte and still very moisturising but Maybelline Color show is an amazing dupe! In the photo the top colour is Velvet Teddy and the bottom colour is the Maybelline color show lipstick pencil.

Are you a fan of Maybelline Color Show? Are you still searching for a perfect Velvet Teddy dupe?

    Drugstore Everyday Makeup

To follow on from my affordable beauty haul that I did a few weeks ago I was requested to do an everyday makeup routine just using just drugstore products. While I do like a lot of drugstore beauty bits (I mean have I STOPPED raving about how much I like that L'Oreal Foundation?) there are items in my beauty routine that are strictly . The video is part first impressions part makeup tutorial. I really hope you like it! Check out the full product list over on the youtube page and while you're there dont forget to give it a big ol' thumbs up if you liked it!

Grey Knot Front Crop Top - Pretty Little Thing
Grey Palazzo Trousers - Pretty Little Thing
    Belt Plate Clutch - Topshop
Stripe Wrap Dress - River Island
    Camel Tailored Coat - Missguided
    Khaki Waterfall Coat - Missguided
    Ripped Jamie Jeans - Topshop
    Mid Heel Shoes - Topshop
Despite it now officially being British Summertime, I still think it's important to have a good but a little more lightweight coat in your wardrobe. It may seem sunny but we all know how deceiving British weather is! This is why I'm loving this tailored camel coat from Missguided and Khaki Waterfall Coat.
Palazzo Trouser two pieces are a massive trend at the moment. I think they're a great outfit for a night out and who doesn't want to show off a bit of tummy? especially for you lucky ones with flat stomachs! A trend I think that's not going away anytime soon is ripped jeans. I think for your summer wardrobe it's a great idea to invest in a good pair like these from Topshop!
A few days ago I was out doing a spot of shopping with my mum and I tried on these shoes. They're so comfortable, not too high and my mum made me put them back and not buy them but I have a bad feeling that when I next go into a Topshop I'll be making a cheeky purchase!

Lifestyle: An Insight Into Easter Eggs

I never thought I'd find an email like this so interesting. I'm bombarded with such random emails everyday and this one caught my eye. Connexica is a company that offers a data analysis tool called CXAIR. They turned to analysing the value of Easter Eggs this week and It was so interesting to find out what's value for money, what's not and just a little more in-sight into the product we'll all be buying this week!

With so many Easter Eggs in the shops at the moment, what's the best value egg for your money? I found this problem in M&S with my mum a few days ago. We ended up picking chocolate eggs for me and my sisters which were more value for money rather than then the more expensive option. So here's what Connexica have discovered from their Easter egg analysis...

    High Quality Or High Price?
This chart shows the average price of an egg per 100g. This chart shows Aldi were the best value for money and Morrisons, Sainsburys and Asda were very similar.

    Best Value for Money
This graph shows which is best value for money for Easter eggs and Aldi came out on top with their own brand as the cheapest chocolate and as you can see Waitrose is the most expensive again! This is just a little snippet into the data Connexica collected. You can check out more on their blog here.

    Happy Easter Egg Shopping!

    Jo Malone Plum Blossom

Sometimes its hard to work out where winter ends and Spring begins. Then when does Summer begin when all the seasons seem to blur into one here in the UK. None the less fresh in for spring is the Jo Malone Blue Skies & Blossoms collection.

A floral trio of scents for spring which are heady, bouquet inspired fragrances with a modern twist. Long gone are the days of associating florals with your Grandma, this launch is reinventing florals so they are more natural, authentic and light.

Jo Malone Plum Blossom is a juicy, light blossom-y fragrance that booms spring. Think, florally, woody musky kinda scent. I don't really get many plum notes but I can lightly smell the fruity notes within the fragrance. Crisp and sharp but it has a really strong overtone of the floral elements. It might be a bit heady for some but I quite like it. Very spring inspired and feminine!

Side Split Roll Neck Jumper - Missguided

I've teamed this jumper up with a pair of thigh-high boots from Missguided. They're so versatile and easy to put with any outfit! This is the sort of outfit I wear day to day at the moment as the weather never seems to make it's mind up! Where is the sunshine?!
